Hakata Nakasu Washington Hotel Plaza

A great location , 10 or so mins from Hakata station and 20 minutes subway to airport. Many shops and reataurants around, all within walking distance. The room is quite compact, however the bed was very comfortable and the shower water pressure excellent. Breakfast was excellent with a mix of Japanese and western dishes. I would stay here again

I stay for 4 nite, it’s really incredibly convenient to go everywhere. I stop at Kushida Shrine Station (exit 3) and it’s only two minutes’ walk away. From there, it’s a three-minute walk to Kushida Shrine and Kawabata. You can also walk to the Tenjin area in about 10-15 minutes and there are many restaurants around. I tried breakfast at the hotel and it was really nice and the food was of good quality. Only have 3 menu ( 2 Japanese & 1 western) price ¥1380 not bad for complete menu with coffee & juice. Love it. For sure I will return when am go to Fukuoka

Very efficient and courteous staff. Your quiet safe stay is assured. They offer a perfect bedmaking that used to be a symbol of such decent business hotels, which have been quite dismissed in recent eco mode of services. Your room will be always spec clean!! Located right in the kiddle of happening places of Nakasu area, you have shopping street, Takashimaya with a great Fukuoka Asian Art Museum and Anpanman Museum, the hotel us just next to the famous Unagiya where you see long que of food enthusiasts. Nearby areas are filled with lots of affordable food joints, and famous Yatai where you can enjoy Ramen and local foods are there to make you feel people-oriented and quite grounded to feel the soul of Hakata. The pavements are sometimes not so suitcase-frindly and I used taxi services most of the time, that are easily available. Metro services are great and does not cost you much to visit many areas at ease. The best part is you feel safe even a lady solo traveller here.

Very nice Hotel, the staff was very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly! Just a few bus stops from Hakata station, so the location was also very convenient. Recommend to stay in this hotel!

Good location, with close and easy access to amenities in Nakasu/Hakata area. A short distance to Tenjin area also makes it a convenient, walkable point for those who want to wander to Tenjij. Also near subway stations, make trvelling within the city so accessable. Decent room size, and services. Recommended when price is ok

Decent hotel. The AC didn't seem to work as effectively as I would have liked during the 30 degree weather, and there was no option to set a specific temperature. The male staff on the first day didn't welcome me but the staff on the other days was friendly. Pillows weren't great, but bed was nice. Location is good, but I didn't realize it was on the edge of a district that at night is mainly just girls bar type places, probably next time in Fukuoka I will try to stay closer to more normal nightlife.
