Staff is really nice and rooms are clean. Nice variety for breakfast and great swimming pools/ spa. Ideal for families or spa lovers.
Fundão has really great restaurants!

Beautiful experience! The hotel has been recently renewed, has a whole new building and a wonderful new Spa facilities, which is top 2 if not the best in Portugal.
The restaurant that connects to the hotel is also excellent with a varied menu of well-made Portuguese dishes (reservation mandatory!)
Definitely a must trip to do yearly during the winter season!

Muito bom atendimento no check in, quarto normal, fantástico pequeno almoço sem nada a apontar, restaurante com muito boa qualidade, super serviço de bar de piscina , um animador sempre atento, divertido, simpático e com animação de manhã e à tarde de "aqua gim", musica ao vivo algumas tardes e para finalizar a noite de discoteca para dançar e descontrair.

I loved the place outside and our room was very big and cosy. We loved the cushion, they were very confortable. The bathroom could be a little better, only the shower. We liked a lot the swimming pool. The workers were very nice and dedicate. It was a good experience and we like to visit them again.

Very nice new renovated hotel, with a lot of comfort and friendly staff. The Spa is just amazing, new, huge and very clean. A lot of swimming pools and area for a big hotel. The old cuisine with traditional dishes is nice, and welcome. Good location

I in this momebt of thevreview in one of their bedroom Very bad sound isolation in you will not rest you hear people veey loudly in the the corridors and on their own bedrooms like a old cheap hostel full of nad bshaved kids and adults running around.

Most likely good facilities, friendly staff but to big an operation and thus terible kafkaesk rules visitors needs to obey. The latter creates in me a feel of not feeling welcome and wanting to avoid this place. For a visti at the pool staff requires you to physically pledge your bankcard or passport as security rather than make a reservation. Complex pricing method for acces to the hotel and defenitly overasked priconglevel compared to the offered facilies.

The Staff is great, the new SPA zone is also really good, but it's still an hotel and on this it fails absolutely to be good...the rooms are old, very used and not clean at all, actually there's a big cleanliness problem on this hotel. Don't let your self go with the pretty photos you see, while the rooms are not remade and the cleanliness is not improved this Hotel is not worth even half the price they charge. It's such a shame that currently in Portugal Hotels charge you 5*+ money but deliver 2* service/accommodations... The rooms are horrible...not clean at all, very very used, strange smells, strange bathroom's. It seems that there was a lot of money spent on the wrong things and it's really sad to see this on what could be a great hotel. But the cleanliness is a big problem, the rooms smell bad (because of lack of cleanliness), there's huge amounts of dust all over the place, garbage on the floor, bathroom not clean with signs of use by previous customers...a disaster... The staff assumes all the errors and they even moved us to a new room, but even the new room was not great (at least for the price they are charging) and we've still had to stay the fist night on a not decent at all room...

I made a reservation in the 3rd february and made a bank transfer (176€) in the same day as asked by the hotel. In te 22th february and asked for a cancellation. In the 27th february the Alambique hotel confirmed the cancellation and I sent my bank data so that the transfer was possible. Today (13th march) I asked for the status of the devolution and the hotel says: "The transfer will occur as soon as possible". No forecast date!!! My maney is withheld since then. Its not the best way to show consideration for the clients. I will never trust them!
