Icarus Hotel

The apartment is spacious and designed to a high spec. Very comfortable lounge seating and bed. The bathroom is particularly impressive with large jacuzzi bath and excellent walk in shower. Staff, in particular, Kiki, we’re excellent. Pool and bar area quiet and peaceful. Where we were disappointed was the kitchen area. Very basic. No oven or microwave or toaster, small fridge and a couple of hobs that cut out as they heated. Not possible to cook a meal. Cutlery limited and just small tumblers and wine glasses. Doors and hinges starting to wear. Also cheap plastic chairs on one balcony and nothing on bedroom balcony. I’d suggest owners review this lack of ‘accessories’ which would make a big difference and reinforce the quality image that the rest of the apartment has. Would recommend local grill restaurant round the corner. Superb food at bargain prices. TV only has BBC world and no satellite channels.

A perfect place to rest and enjoy time with family. Our room was perfect for 3 adults and 2 kids. Room was cleaned perfectly and even our dirty dishes were clean when we returned to our room. Breakfast was very tasty and everyone found something to eat every morning. The hotel staff was friendly and we got good tips and advices about anything we asked. The location of the hotel was perfect for our family, calm and still near shops and many good restaurants. I higly recommend!

Dimitri was welcoming and accommodating and so helpful - made everything easy - and recommended some great restaurants. Apartment was spacious and modern and perfect. Pool is lovely, breakfast is wonderful. A really great find!

We stayed here for 10 days (2 adults and 2 teens) and had an amazing time. The apartments are really spacious and well furnished with comfortable beds and an amazing shower. The breakfasts are good with loads of options and the pool and eating areas are great places to hang out. The staff, especially Dimitri, we’re amazing. We’d definitely come back and we’d recommend it as a great base for exploring Chania and the West side of the Island. Thanks Ikaros for a great holiday!!

We had a great time at the hotel! We spent eight wonderful days there and cannot be grateful enough for the experience! The hotel has a great location, a few hundred meters from the beach, the nearest minimarket is only 100 meters away. The wonderfully maintained landscaped garden has beautiful plants, a great pool with sunbeds and umbrellas, a comfortable breakfast area, and a barbecue area. The cleaning staff does a great job, the rooms and the entire accommodation are very clean and well maintained. The breakfast selection is more than satisfactory, although the omelette was a bit overcooked.. Our apartment had two rooms, with a huge bathroom and jacuzzi, we found it really comfortable. The air conditioning is very efficient, quiet, and despite the heat, we felt comfortable in our room. The beds were comfortable, the linens were clean and of good quality. We were able to easily prepare food for ourselves in the equipped kitchen, we had all the tools for it. There was a smart TV in the living room, and we could watch our own content on it without any difficulty! We have to highlight the work of Dimitris, the boss of the place, because he deserves it! He contacted us before our arrival and arranged breakfast for my children with food sensitivities in advance, so we are very grateful to him! During our stay, he was a very pleasant host, he helped a lot with his advice and ideas. He arranged the transfers without any difficulty, they arrived on time, were clean and of great quality. The greatest thing was that we felt that he was not doing it out of obligation, but out of a desire to help, he was a real host, in the strictest sense of the word. Thank you Dimitris! If not next year, we'll be back here!

Really enjoyed staying here. The apartment was clean and spacious. It was on the ground floor so a little bit dark but overall nice and clean with a large shower and bathtub. The pool was very nice and the staff were extremely lovely. It is a short walk to the nearest beach and restaurants nearby, You can easily take the bus from the apartments to the town centre. If you visit, be sure to hike Samaria Gorge! I would stay here again.

We spent 5 days at Icarus during our trip. The hotel is superb and the staff is really nice. They even gave is great recommendations dit place to visit or even restaurant. Everything went smooth for us. The apartment was really cool and comfy. Very design. It got everything you need. Will come back for sure if we are coming back to Crete. Thanks

Très bel hôtel, les chambres sont superbes. Par contre la localisation de l’hôtel est dans la banlieue (pas chic) de La Canee. La vue des chambres donne sur un terrain vague/déchèterie. Le quartier est très précaire et ne donne pas du tout envie
