It was the amazing place i have visited. Had a great welcome from front line staff. Room is perfect and had a great view. Dinner and breakfast was amazing and very tasty. Breakfast bufet had a wide selection of western and local food. I requested to arrange a birthday cake at the breakfast time and they were arranged a tasty cake with special birthday surprise. Overall can be give 10 out of 10.

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay although in some respects it was inferior to other hotels I stayed in on the holiday. The pools were great and so was the view from the room. The room itself was alright - quite basic but sufficient. We did have problems with a leak in the ceiling which was promptly addressed by staff but still a little annoying. In general the staff were lovely: in particular Chamindu in the restaurant, a security guard who called me and my partner over to show us turtles on the beach (sorry, can't remember his name) and the guy working the sunloungers at the lower pool. The weakest part was probably the food. It wasn't bad exactly, it was just worse than the food in all the other hotels I stayed in.

バワ建築のインフィニティプールがステキなホテルです。お客さんはスリランカの方と思われる方が多かったです。新婚旅行のような方も多かったですが、家族やファミリー連れも意外と多かったです。 ホテルは少し古いものの、作りはしっかりしていて、水回りも問題ありませんでした。 レストラン以外のサービスはとてもよかったです。レストランはランチで頼んだものが30分以上かかって出てくる感じです。しかも少し冷めていました。 朝食のコーヒーもかなり時間がかかって出てきました。ハウスキーピングや受付周りの方はとてもよかったです。

We can not say enough good things about our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. The entire staff was welcoming and attentive to details. We arrived at 3:00am and the hotel had prepared some fruit and sandwiches for our arrival. My wife is celiac and the staff did an amazing job ensuring there were food options available for her. They even prepared traditional Sri Lankan food for us to try. The beach club gets very busy during the day but we still felt like the only guests there. This place has a great island vibe with music and different entertainment daily. We will definitely be returning before the end of our trip.

It's hard to know where to start with this review. From the moment we booked the general manager sent me a personalised message. We arrived greeted by a refreshing cold towel and a tour of this beautiful hotel. We booked the grand suite for 8 nights and 9n entering it exceeded my expectations. The room is huge tastefully decorated spotlessly clean. The bathroom is beautiful and there is even a small kitchen area. The veranda overlooking the pool was a gret place to have our morning coffee. The grounds make you feel like you are in a tropical rain forest and the pool and separate jacuzzi are lovely. Breakfast was a delight and they adapted every morning to our tastes. All of the staff are amazing and friendly. And the general manager is so lovely greeting us personally every morning asking about our stay and if there is anything they can do for us. All the staff were a credit to this beautiful place. Ps the private beach is stunning feels like your on a tropical island. I wish our stay was not ending tomorrow. Would not hesitate to come back. What a fantastic place! It’s a beautiful old house with spacious comfortable rooms, an amazing collection of furniture, artwork, old prints and photos, as well as an extensive and eclectic library. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful. I needed to see a doctor : in discussion, we decided it would be both cheaper and quicker for me to go to the outpatients at Asiri private hospital- they offered to accompany me. In fact, I went alone and it was a very easy, efficient, and cheap process- much more so than getting care in that situation in New Zealand. There is a pool, the best we enjoyed in Sri Lanka. The food is great and generous serves. We were very happy to have stayed there rather than the centre of Galle: it is in a quiet, peaceful area, and a reasonable walk or a short tuk tuk ride from the historic centre. We couldn’t have had a better experience.

Great hotel it’s a little oasis. Newly decorated and extremely clean. Staff cannot do enough to help you. Food excellent in the restaurant. Asok is always there to recommend a dish, along with the chef who will cook whatever you ask for. The resort is up a little side street. You would miss the retreat if you didn’t look carefully. Pretty and green with beautifuflowers in the garden, a small refreshing clean pool. The beach is nearby and so are the restaurants. Beach has great waves! There were lots of people on the beach when we arrived! The beach is nice but not wow. We enjoy it though! Unawatuna definitely has the vibes, lovely boutique hotels, nice food and a nice beach. Also lots smiley faces and Yes we would come back! Beautiful Sri Lanka and its people. Loved it!

This was the second time we have stayed at this hotel and our fourth time in Hikka. We choose this hotel now for its proximity to the Reef for snorkelling. Access further south along the beach past this hotel is not possible now due to loss of the beach and rising sea. This hotel still has beach access and is in a great postion for beach, reef and all the nearby retaurants too. The hotel staff are lovely. Some reviews say that this is not true; we find if you smile and say ”Ayebowan” it raises a beautiful smile and opens conversation. Treat others as you wish to be treated I say. The staff at breakfast, inparticular, the regular egg chef, are so nice to chat with and they are very helpful too. The security staff and pool attendants are also exceptional in the service they provide. Thank you. We had a room on the 1st floor with a large enclosed terrace which suited our needs perfectly. You have a kettle with tea and coffee provided daily along with 2 small bottles of water. There is a fridge in the room for your use too. The bed is very large and comfy enough. The aircon was so good we didnt use it at night, we just used the ceiling fan. The bathrooms are dated, but we have found in all our hotel stays that this seems to be Sri Lankan charm. They still have everything you need and are clean. Shampoo and shower gel are provided. The pool is great. Maybe some more sun loungers might be useful now that more tourists are returnign to Sri Lanka. The bar lunch menu is good and drinks are not too expensive. We didnt eat in the evening this time. Last time we did and the food was very good. Breakfast buffet was good enough for our taste. We like to local offerings as well as eggs and fruit. No complaints at all about the selctions available. ...maybe hoppers every day! We will defintely return each year when we pass through Hikka. Until next time.
