Perfect location next to the "Christkindlmarkt" and the inner city. Good restaurants nearby and round about 300m walk to the lake. Well equipped and clean rooms. Spa area unfortunately is very slippery (even with bath shoes). Drink water supply in Spa could be better organized.

Loved this place. Historic place, beautifully renovated. Large Interconnected rooms. Helpful staff. Secure garage for bikes. Perfect for our short stay. Would recommend for families in particular and cyclists. Good stop off or base for exploring.

We had a lovely stay in the hotel. We loved our duplex family room that was extremely spacious. We like the breakfast, location of the hotel and all the staff was nice.
The only thing we didn't like that people were bathing naked in the pool. We were swimming with our daughter and find it kind of weird and decide to leave.

We recently had our second stay at this hotel and once again, it did not disappoint. It is truly an unbeatable hotel located in the heart of Mondsee and just a stone's throw away from the picturesque Lake Mondsee. What sets this hotel apart is its rich historical and cultural significance. Staying here, we felt like we were transported back to the Middle Ages, experiencing the grandeur and opulence of a royal palace or noble estate.
Despite its historical significance, the hotel is also very comfortable, clean, and modern.
We were impressed by the three excellent restaurants on the premises, each offering a unique dining experience. The food was expertly prepared and the staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay all the more enjoyable. Overall, it was a perfect stay in every way.

This is a large hotel (that was a castle) in the centre of the beautiful town/village of Mondsee. My stay was outstanding. The place is spotless and my room was huge. It was one of the largest rooms I have had in a European hotel and it was split on two levels with the bedroom, bathroom, toilet room on the ground floor and upstairs there was a work desk and a settee with a second television. Location is great, adjacent to the extraordinary church that feels out of place in such a small town. You can easily walk to the Mondsee lake and for average speed will take you 5 minutes. There are two restaurants to eat in the evenings in the hotel both of which serve high quality food. Breakfast is served in the Culinario restaurant and it is very good with a large selection of high quality items. They were very accommodating of my request for a late check out. I really enjoyed my stay and can highly recommend this place.

The Hotel / castle is in a very central location in Mondsee. 2 mts walk from the lake. Super friendly staff, well appointed rooms and the food is very very good….highly recommended. We stayed half pension but not with a fixed menu….always 2-3 choice of main course, recommended wines, alternative Menus to choose, make this the Highlight. The spa is very comfortable, nice ambience, plenty of space, 3 different kinds of sauna, small pool, few bikes etc. very relaxing a**osphere…. Deep garage costs 9 per day which is fair. Free bike rentals etc etc….all in all a Great stay….
