Hotel berhampiran Jehovas Zeugen, Gemeinde Tiefgraben

Wow, I really don’t get how this place can have such high ratings. The rooms look way better on pictures and are actually old and need urgently renovation. The hotel is located directly on a street and they even tell you to keep the windows closed over night because of environmental hazards. I guess that’s due to the air. Wellness area is nice - no personal was there so everywhere were empty cups and newspapers. Breakfast service was poor or better none existent. Way too high priced and not a 4 star hotel.

I booked this hotel online after lot of research and went by the brand of ”Best Western”, whose properties I have stayed around the world in the past. However, I would say the experience was much below expectations. Pros 1. Very close to Salzburg train station. It is about 2kms from the station 2. Bus stops are right opposite of hotel so ease of public transport 3. Walking distance to Mirabell Palace and Mozartplatz (main tourist attractions) 4. Several Indian restaurants within walking distance from hotel. 5. I was given a large room so it was good from family point of view 6. Room, bathroom was clean, nice bed, clean bed linen and towels etc 7. Staff at FD was efficient and solved most of our issues quickly. Cons 1. When we checked into room, we noticed that not even electric kettle, tea, coffee was provided in the room. It was provided only after brought into the notice of the front desk. 2. Intercom in the room was not working, so every time you have to go to the FD to inform 3. The room has a very small window at shoulder level, which was quite odd. 4. Salzberg was quite warm during our stay and AC was not working in the room. 5. Breakfast spread was small considering this was a 4 star hotel. 6. The bathroom has peculiar design & it was quite awkward for our Indian sensibilities, that shower enclosure was in glass open to view from all sides from the room. Such arrangement is not suitable if you have older children staying in the same room. We had our 10y old with us and we had to finish our shower before she would wake up. I would rather avoid this hotel in future!!

酒店設施和環境都很不錯，我是陪着八十多歲的父母來的，很驚喜這裏居然還有電梯，衹是都設在半層處，出來還是需要老人家再爬半層樓梯，好奇怪。 臨走退房時讓我每間房單獨再付39歐元的打掃費用，我問為什麼，說是這是公寓房，需要打掃廚房。我說我衹住了一個晚上過夜，根本沒有用過廚房。估計因為我是維也納過來的，德語流利，所以就免了。看了之前的評論，很多人遇到過這個問題，所以想預定的人還是要考慮一下。 這個酒店適合多住幾天，就在湖邊，環境超級美，房間很大，而且緊挨着沙夫山登山火車，附近也有中餐廳披薩店等，所以多住幾天，這個清潔費用還是值得的。

Overall, it is a good place to stay for the price with basic amenities and simple rooms. Hotel food is good and best service there. While location is actually good with convenient bus connection into Salzburg directly in front of the property, it is a little difficult to find when driving from the autobahn. I don't understand why the hotel can't give precise instructions on how to find them being in a hidden street and even hidden from view from their own road ... such as ”Drive x kms off A2 away from Salzburg, then at the BP gas station traffic circle take the 2nd exit onto X road, drive 100 meters to the first street on the left” (or similar). Even the front of the hotel is hard to see and the front door is not at all visible from the road. Anyway ... front desk really needs to learn about hospitality ... plus during the day they are OFTEN not around having to wait for someone to come or beg restaurant staff to find someone to help at front desk ... even just to get room key. Note ... no air conditioning in hot summer months and window only opens a crack so hard to get some cooler air at night. Very little English TV (2 news channels).

Abbiamo prenotato qui una camera tripla con una culla aggiuntiva tramite mail. Alla reception sono stati tutti molto cortesi e gentili, sempre a disposizione. L'albergo è molto curato, ha anche una piccola piscina ed una sauna. La camera era molto grande e molto pulita. L'unico difetto (ma in Austria quando non si soggiorna in grandi catene alberghiere è frequente) era la mancanza di aria condizionata. Durante l'anno non è un problema, ma noi abbiamo soggiornato in una settimana di caldo eccezionale (32°C a Salisburgo sono un'eccezione) e l'assenza del clima si è fatta sentire soprattutto di notte. La colazione è ottima, personale gentilissimo come al ristorante. Attenzione al turno di chiusura del ristorante di lunedì!

Das Hotel Heffterhof liegt etwas versteckt in einem Wohngebiet, aber dennoch logistisch so gut, da man in die Innenstadt max. 30 min zu Fuß läuft oder den Linienbus Nr. 6 nehmen kann. Die Reservierung Sehr gut per Mail oder über ein Buchungsportal und sehr freundlich und verbindlich im Ton. Die Begrüßung Die jungen, meist weiblichen Personen waren sehr freundlich, um Lösungen bemüht und vorbildlich. Als Stoffel erwies sich jedoch der sogenannte „Chef der Rezeption“, der, ohne genau hinzuhören, unqualifizierte Antworten gab und den sehr guten Eindruck seiner Kolleginnen relativierte. Man merkte den Kolleginnen deutlich an, dass es ihnen auch unangenehm war. An den sogenannten Chef: Nehmen Sie sich ein Beispiel an ihren Kolleginnen und wenn Sie das nicht können oder Ressentiments gegen Personen aus Ihrem Nachbarland hegen, dann wechseln Sie bitte die Branche. Das Zimmer Sehr schön groß, sauber mit einer getrennten Toilette und einem separaten Bad. Laut war es nur, wenn andere Personen auf dem Flur in der Nacht sich laut unterhielten. Ab und zu verfing sich der Duft von Essen in unserem Zimmer. Das Frühstück Sehr gut in allen Bereichen mit vielen regionalen Produkten, sei es bei herzhaften oder süßen Speisen, bei warm oder kalt. Die Bedienung war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Unsere Empfehlung Sehr gerne wieder - vielleicht aber erst dann, wenn der Chef der Rezeption etwas hinzu gelernt hat.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Little Guesthouse. The room itself was comfortable, spotlessly clean and so peaceful. The owners are super-friendly and helpful with recommendations for travel, restaurants and activities. There is a nice garden area with outdoor seating. Continental Breakfast each morning is served downstairs with a lovely selection of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, meats & cheeses and baked goods. This is a really cheerful place to stay if you want some peace and quiet away from the town centre. It’s a very easy walk to the centre of Salzburg’s old town and very easily accessible from both the airport and the train station by bus. Would highly recommend if you’re planning to visit Salzburg.
