We have just returned from this hotel and had the most wonderful, relaxing week. We booked a junior sapphire suite (room 324) and I highly recommend this as the sea view is fabulous & made it for us. The room was very clean & modern, the bed was super comfy. We arrived very late and were grateful for the sandwiches, salads, snacks and drinks that had been left out for us in our room…nice touch. The staff are exceptional from the front desk to the room cleaners to the bar & restaurant staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Elena in the Meze restaurant and Marianne on front desk were a credit to the hotel as was the lovely waiter in the buffet restaurant out on the terrace (name began with S! Apologies for forgetting) We found the food to be varied and good. The Meze & Asian restaurants were fantastic. The beach is sand and the sea crystal clear, truly wonderful to swim in. It is a fairly secluded bay. We were very fortunate with the weather. We had (included with our package) access to the Haute Living lounge and I would recommend this as you have access to snacks and drinks (soft & alcoholic) throughout the day. There was a bar open until 1am. The gym is also very good & they run Pilates & Yoga classes AM & PM. Having read the reviews before we went i see now why some are unfavourable though we didn’t experience anything negative and perhaps that’s because we went in October and so it was less busy, no issue ever getting a sunbed (very comfy btw!), no Q’s for restaurants, we had booked a sea view room (there are rooms at rear of hotel overlooking car park), we did our research beforehand and knew the hotel was quite remote and so had hired a car. There is nowhere really to walk to from the hotel and road/s out of the area are very steep. So bear this in mind. There is however a bus service into Corfu old town and taxis of course. If you are simply looking for a very relaxing week by the (large!) pool/sea with good food & great, friendly service then this is the place (probably not in the school holidays tho!) If you want a holiday with more activity/walking and you don’t have a car, this is not the place. Domes has an adults only hotel across the island that may suit better. We would definitely return.
