In my opinion, you should not stay here. Prior to the pandemic, I stayed here regularly but it’s changed. They advertise an airport shuttle from 7 am to 10 pm but I was told for hours outside of that, they will call you an Uber and pick up the charge. When I went to check in that was not the case. They said the owner had to approve all Uber charges and he would not get up at 4:45 am to approve such a charge. I would suggest giving your employees the responsibility if you are unwilling or too lazy to meet the needs of your customers. I also initially was put on the third floor but the elevator was not working so they told me they would be willing to help me with my luggage. I have a bad back and came in wearing a knee supporter. When I objected she said she’d change it to the second floor. When I told her about my mobility issues, she finally found me a room on the first floor. In the past for early departures, some items on the free breakfast buffet were always set up early. Not so anymore, there was nothing. Finally, nothing has been done to any of the rooms in terms of updating. The decor is sad and old with the same carpet and brown chairs that have been there for years. That would be ok if the place was clean but I immediately found a large dead flying insect under the toilet seen clearly from the door of the bathroom. Finally, the mattresses are not supportive and need to be changed out. I told them I would not be staying here again. I was just sad that I had prepaid my reservation and I had to suffer one last time.

I want to start with the positives: Sales staff are GREAT. Front desk personnel are VERY helpful. Close to 28th Street where there's loads of restaurants and shopping. The A/C unit kept the room comfortable. The mattress and pillows were decent. The restaurant menu was good and our bartender was on the ball with our large group. Our meeting space was a good size. Our banquet meal was very good and plentiful. Now for the not-so-positives in no particular order: the baseboards in the bathroom were covered with dust and hair. The shower floor sloped in the wrong direction and pooled up where you step in. Our room carpet smelled like feet and y'all know exactly what that smells like! The lobby seating was FILTHY, STAINED and broke down. Breakfast was the same thing everyday, no variation. It is my opinion that it was not cooked on-site but was pre-cooked and reheated.

The title is correct, but, like all hotels, there are a few small things that could make a stay much better. On the plus side, they did come through in many ways that others fail. The bell carts moved smoothly across the floor with good wheels. They had both elevators working so there was no waiting. Check-in was easy. There is a nice outdoor area with a fire pit. The room was clean, well designed with no stains on anything. There is a TV channel guide in the room. The bed was comfortable. The room had two chairs. The heat and AC worked fine. A few things that could improve the stay would be a full length mirror, trees for shade in the parking lot, more sports channels on the TV like Bally to watch the Detroit Tigers. The mini fridge has no freezer. Obviously, when people travel with food, they need a freezer compartment to re-freeze the blue ice in their cooler. In-room coffee only had one regular coffee and two decaf. As a couple, we would liked to have each had our own cup of coffee. But, they did have Bigelow tea in the room and in the breakfast area. Speaking of which, it was a typical hotel free breakfast of instant granulated eggs and sausage links with mostly filler. The cranberry juice was very watered down. At least it was freshly made and the breakfast area was spotlessly clean. They did have real butter which is rare among hotel free breakfasts. The location is extremely handy and I would stay here again.

We used the Park and Fly option. Good Rate, safe place to leave the car and a very reliable shuttle to and from the airport. Friendly staff, even at 1am! Clean and quiet room, comfortable beds and pillows, and there is a coffee maker in the room. The noon checkout was a bonus since we our return flight was late.

We stayed at Home2Suites for work as it was the most centrally located hotel for our project. The check-in process was fast and the front desk person was very friendly. The room is a standard Home2Suites room, as it has a large counter area with a basic bed setup. Not my favorite bed in the world, but it will do for work. The carpet was clean of any stains, and the furniture showed no signs of wear. The bathroom was clean and had a full stand-up shower. I didn't see any signs of mold, and the floor of the shower was clean as well. We didn't use any of the amenities, such as food or the fitness center, but they looked fine.
