This was perfectly adequate for my one night stay prior to a cruise. The location is easily accessible from the train from the airport and less than a mile from the cruise terminal. It is no frills but clean. I had a shared bathroom which was a concern but it was fine. You share the bathroom with another room and you will hear them in there but, again, it was one night. There was a sink in the room which was good as you didn't need the bathroom for basic teeth brushing, etc. If I was doing an overnight in Vancouver again, I'd go back.

The transportation is convenient, but there is a bar downstairs, and the sound insulation is not good. People who are afraid of noise may not be able to sleep. There are only stairs and you need to carry your luggage upstairs.

Hotel location is perfect. It’s right next to the Richmond Night Market and has included parking in the garage right next to it. The staff, minus one experience, was all very nice and helpful.
Our room was very cozy and perfect for what we needed. The AC blew nice and cold.
My only complaint that could’ve brought the rating up higher was that our toilet’s water kept rising and would get self clogged even though we literally just had got there and just used the bathroom to pee. On our way out, we decided to go the front desk to ask someone to service it while we were out. They instead just asked me “so do you want a plunger?”. We had somewhere to be so I just said sure, maybe I can just take a look at it when I’m back. Well, after getting the toilet to flush, it just clogged again. So we pretty much had to use the plunger every single time we needed to use the bathroom which was really annoying. It really brought the experience of staying there, down.

The room was clean, modern and comfortable with an incredible bathroom. There are many restaurants nearby and the local night market and outlet mall are within walking distance. The airport is just a quick 5 minute drive from the front doors. We highly recommend this hotel if you need a place to stay before travel.

Thank you for the opportunity to describe my Inn at the Quay experience. I was booked for a day procedure at Royal Columbian Hospital at 6:00AM on Saturday May 20. Because I was travelling from out of town and had to be driven home (as a requirement of the procedure) I elected to travel by train to Vancouver and then New Westminster on the day before, Friday. On Tuesday May 16 I booked a room at your hotel for the night of the night of Friday May 19 for $389.00 ex-taxes. My plan was to take a cab to the Hospital and then my daughter was then going to drive to town to pick me up and drive me home after the procedure on Saturday. After travelling to New Westminster I had time to kill because I called the Inn at the Quay to see if I could get an early check in but was told that you were very busy and that was not possible. The hospital recommends attending with only your care card for security reasons. For this reason I had my BC Care Card and the credit card I used to book the room in my cellular phone case. During my wanders I lost my phone. Fortunately I had a significant amount of cash so I got a cab immediately and attended at your hotel. I explained my situation to the clerk on the desk and she said that she could not check me in without the credit card I used to book the room. I asked her if you would charge that card with the room price if I had not shown up and she agreed that that was the case. When I asked if she could just charge the card and let me stay she said that the situation was different and was against your policy. I questioned her further and she summoned a person form the back office who agreed that the situation was completely different and actually said “Sorry, we can’t help you.” When I suggested cancelling the credit card transaction and paying in cash that suggestion was also turned down. Reason was lost on these two minions that are trained to be slavishly obedient to your rules and policies. I am sure that if you question these two they will agree that I was polite and courteous throughout our encounter. After several attempts at circumventing their indifference I felt that I should leave before I started to get mad. As a competent, attentive and businesslike hotelier I am sure you are aware of the saturation in your market on any given day. If you harken back to May 19 you will recall that all of the other hotels in New Westminster and as far as Port Coquitlam were completely booked. No matter, I was able to avail myself of a comfortable chair in the admitting lobby of the Royal Columbian Hospital from 4:00PM on Friday until 6:00AM the following morning. Except of course when I had to leave the admitting lobby while the janitors polished the floors. Because the Emergency Room lobby was full I was able to meet some of the interesting local street residents that were outside at 2:30AM. The questionnaire you emailed me “after my stay” to comment on my experience does not have sufficient space to fu

PPengguna TetamuParadox has so far been the best hospitality and service experience we've had in years. Right from reception, room service to valet. They're friendly, extremely helpful, there are details that you'd never think of heated floors in the bathroom, filtered floral air in the washroom. Right in the middle of downtown, everything is within walking distance, the rooms are absolutely an oasis in the middle of a metropolis. Stay here!
PPengguna TetamuOur stay started off really well. Front desk staff were very friendly and let us check in early. I went to have a shower before going to the concert we were in town for and found that the tub drain was plugged and the tub not draining. I had received a txt earlier ask how the room use and to text if we need anything. So I text that the tub was are draining. I did not get a response and left the room to go out. We thought we would come back the drain being unplugged but instead came back to nothing done. We went to the front desk to ask for a plunger to try and fix ourselves as it had been 7 hours and still no response. We tried to plug the drain but it did not help. When we returned the plunger the front desk person offered us another room but being in out pj’s and it after midnight we stayed in the room. They said maintenance would be back at 7am. We went to check out at 11, still no response to txt and no maintenance person to fix tub. The desk person apologized and offered us breakfast vouchers for the restaurant. We went to the restaurant but they would only give us bacon or sausage and eggs. Being vegan and vegetarian that was not going to work. The restaurant said they could not offer anything else. We went back to the front desk and the manager wouldn’t allow the front desk person to do anything else for unless we wanted McDonald’s. Looking forward to getting home tonight to shower.
LLLTYDThe room was big compared to other hotels we had stayed. Location is conveniently located in Vancouver. There are so many restaurants in the area.
PPengguna TetamuI was on a business trip and was unable to get a room with the rest of my team at the Executive Hotel across the street. I was happy to get a room at Ramada at a discounted rate and it was perfectly comfortable and convenient, I did not feel like I missed out on anything by not being at the Executive with my colleagues. I would definitely stay again. My only issue was the heater in the room gave off bad fumes but luckily it wasn't cold without the heat on.
PPengguna TetamuThe time of my arrival to Vancouver was already pretty late in the evening of late Dec 2021 and the weather was bad. It snowed heavily. Luckily, I was able to hop on the free shuttle bus provided by the hotel at the Departure Level of Vancouver International Airport right away and check-in smoothly to a warm & comfortable environment. Without the proper footwear for this kind of weather, it is rather difficult to go anywhere on foot. When I asked for a direction of the shopping centre near by, the staff at front desk were helpful. During my 3-night stay at the hotel, I dined in couple of times at the restaurant inside the hotel. The food on average were good and within my expectations. For the room I stayed in, despite the heater was on, I still felt the room a bit cold. I guessed it was due to the heat loss from the large single glazed sliding door. Noise was generated from the heater through out the night and it was rather disturbing.
SSophieMWWe booked this hotel last minute as we needed somewhere to stay before catching a flight in the morning. Upon check in we were charged nearly 3 times the room mate for a security deposit which was strange and unexpected. The room was very nice and the beds were possibly the most comfortable beds I have stayed in. Had everything we needed. Checked out early the next morning and the gentlemen at the front desk was very helpful and even booked us a taxi.
PPengguna TetamuWe stayed in this property for just one night before our Alaska cruise. The location is it's USP and we actually walked down to Canada Place to board our cruise. The rooms are spacious and bright and there is complimentary coffee available in the reception. Eateries are all around and the Pacific Mall is within walking distance. We had a very comfortable stay!
PPengguna TetamuWhen we checked into the Ramada by Wyndham Coquitlam, the front desk clerk did not tell us that we would have to go outside, through the parking lot to get to the indoor pool. She also did not tell us we would have to go to the front desk to get towels for the pool. We had to ask another guest how to find the pool, we went there, only to have to return to the front desk to get our towels. She should have asked if we were going to use the pool, tell us where it is, and give us the towels as we were registering. We found out from other guests instead. Once we got to the pool, we found that the hotel had rented out the pool to a learn to swim class of a half dozen screeching, screaming 'tweenagers' who splashed constantly. The pool itself had such a hot temperature, it was anything but refreshing and definitely not relaxing with all that noise echoing in the pool room. Our room was on the first floor and the hallway from the front desk of this 'non-smoking hotel' was extremely smokey. I am allergic to smoke and this made it very uncomfortable for me. My daughter suggested that the staff 'outside smoking area' is likely near the clean air intake for the air conditioning system. That needs to be changed! I would not recommend to people to stay at this hotel at all.
