Boutique Hotel Glacier

This is a charming, lovely hotel in a perfect location. The view from our room and the dining area can only be described as spectacular and the same could be said for the entire staff, from the front desk to the servers in the dining room to the people servicing the breakfast area. Everyone was so polite and helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we could have possibly needed. Towels were changed daily although we didn’t request it. This was a great location for everything we wanted to do in the area and we appreciated the hotel not being on a main road which made it feel quiet and private. The meals we had for dinner were just great and the breakfast items were fresh, plentiful and delicious. If we ever return to Grindelwald, we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else but the Hotel Glacier!

Whilst it may strike you as being small the quality of the bedrooms and lounge / dining areas, the delicious food [particularly the breakfasts], the friendly / helpful staff, and the amazing views from the public rooms will soon put you at ease.

This place was incredible. Truly felt like a dream staying at the Boutique Hotel Glacier in Grindelwald. The views were breath taking and the food was 5 star. Special shout out to Thomas and Dani who were the absolute best and made our dining experience one of a kind! This hotel is a hidden gem that I will be returning to again! Highly recommend.

My husband and I had a lovely time staying at the Hotel Boutique Glacier. We stayed at one of the Signature rooms and really loved the jacuzzi with amazing views of the Eiger. It's so peaceful and beautiful to wake up to every morning. The terrace also had beautiful views perfect to match with breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks etc. The breakfast spread had a good variety and the staff were always helpful whenever we needed anything. We will definitely come back one day!

Another stay at our favorite hotel in Grindelwald with spacy rooms, terrace with a great view to Eiger, good access to all hiking routes, excellent breakfast and the best kitchen in town. Glacier restaurant´s fine dining dinner should not be missed when visiting Grindelwald!

Beauty abounds at this cozy retreat. We had an amazing mountain view from our room complete with a comfortable balcony, overlooking a beautiful green valley. The ample sized rooms include a nice Nespresso coffee maker, a Marshall wifi box, and a pleasant bed and pillows. Gym and free laundry are on site also. The included buffet was wonderful, with many options, and the staff were very friendly as well. We had a hamburger with fries and salmon the first night we arrived. Unfortunately we didn’t feel the value, as the food seemed average for the price we paid. Also, we were in room 302, and the shower drained extremely slow. We called the front desk and were advised someone would check it out, but they never showed. Despite that I’m giving this hotel five stars because there were so many positives. Would definitely return!

Myself, my husband, and my 3 year old travelled to Switzerland and stayed for 5 nights at boutique hotel glacier. It was truly a wonderful experience and I can't fault anything about our stay. The staff was really friendly, the rooms were really spacious, we had a little extra room within our room for my daughter which means we could stay up and watch movies while she slept in the other room. The breakfast was standard not much variety but as expected from a boutique hotel. We had dinner in the main restaurant and it was wonderful, the view is just spectacular, the location is about 10-15 minutes walk from the main street which was great as it was really calm and quiet around the property. We hired a car so mostly drove everywhere, parking was easy to find wherever we went. By far one of the highlights was the spa area which was available for guests to use free of charge, my husband and I used this every night and it was sublime, the water temperature of the jacuzzi was perfect. The only thing that would have been great is if guest were allowed to sit in the reception area, however all the seating is reserved for those dining in the restaurant, which I understand, but really nothing to fault. If I return to Switzerland, this hotel will be one I stay at again!

They beat a lot of those 5 star hotels out there! You’ll have one of a kind experience here. Even my husband said they have the BEST view among all the hotels in Grindelwald. The whirlpool/jacuzzi is just perfect with that icy mountain view. Their restaurant also has a great spot we spent the whole morning just chillin there eating, drinking coffee and appreciating the nature. Food is fresh and delicious. The staff is also super nice and helpful. They love chatting and giving information. What more can you ask for? It’s all perfect!

Hotel Glacier would have to be our favourite ever hotel experience. The view from our room was unbelievable, the breakfast each day was the best of our time in Europe, the service was excellent and outdoor spa a special memory. If you are planning a stay in Grindelwald, try and stay at the BHG, you won’t be disappointed! 💯
