in my 64yrs and countless hotel stays i have never been so disrespected and treated so poorly. after a flight cancellation a fellow traveler and myself were booked at this hotel and told it was a budget hotel with a shuttle. the shuttle driver asked for a $12 fare. when we arrived at the hotel the front desk, who i believe was the owner, began arguing with the driver and demanded another $12. we were not aware it was $12 apiece. we began to argue believing we were being conned. i eventually paid the $12 and the owner was still not satisfied and continued arguing in some broken english which i believe contributed to the confusion. i was tired and frustrated from 24 hrs flying and eating snacks for 2 days i had to sit on the floor in the lobby. the man traveling with me continued to talk to the front desk guy. when i tried to explain again the guy said "you shut up" at that point i lost my temper and said we were leaving. they refused to return us to the airport and refused to allow us to use the phone. our phones had no service. after sitting outside we found someone to call a taxi for us and went to another hotel.
