We checked in, stored our bags, and went off on a city walking tour. Don Lucas is located right at the beginning of the pedestrian area. When we got back we were given Room #7 which had a very bad odor in the bathroom. After an attempt to rid the odor from the room they moved us to a better room. Front desk help is excellent. The room was spacious, odor free, and very quiet. The bed was one of the best during our two weeks in MX. The shower was very good. Breakfast was buffet style and tasty - real eggs, nice pastries, good fruit. Coffee refills at your table. Throughout our stay we were continually pleased with how helpful the front desk person was.

El hotel es muy acogedor y la decoración da un aire campestre, recordando la historia de la ciudad. Las habitaciones son cómodas, el baño limpio y acondicionado para personas con movilidad limitada. Tienen un pequeño clóset para acomodar tus cosas y la TV tiene cable, aunque podría ser un poco más grande. Se limpian diariamente y tienes distintas opciones de iluminación. También tienen un ventilador que es muy útil ya que el calor se acumula bastante en la habitación. El desayuno viene incluido de un horario de 8-12 y las opciones son huevos al gusto + chilaquiles, café, jugo y pan. Hay otras opciones de pago, pero la comida en sí es muy rica. Todo el personal es super amable y atento a tus solicitudes. También te brindan información para recorrer la ciudad y te avisan si hay algún evento importante en la ciudad. Aunque estuvimos un par de días, fue muy acogedor y nos sentimos como en casa. Al ser una pareja LGBTTI, nos sentimos bienvenidos en un espacio que respeta la diversidad. Lo cual se agradece bastante en una ciudad un tanto conservadora. Recomendamos ampliamente.

We stayed at this hotel twice in 2023, to be closer to the BJX airport for early morning flights. While there are hotels closer to that airport (this hotel is a 25 minute drive to it) but this hotel is too nice to pass up for some of the not-so-nice airport area hotels. Guanajanto downtown is beautiful, not to be missed! The rest of the town isn't anything to write home about, we have done multipe tours and I'd stick to the area Villa Maria Cristina is in, and dowtown only. Ok, so we are Hyatt Explorist status. Both times our room was upgraded, which was very nice. The larger suites are lovely, we had one with a private patio with a table and loungers as well as Two full bathrooms, each with a bath tub and separate showers. Heaven! Robes and slippers also were privided with the room. We also got a turndown service with a lovely locally made treat. The hotel is old, and has the feel of an older hotel that has been well maintinaed, we could hear the pipes in the walls. Not a big deal. This room was facing a view of the mountains, but also along the main road. It was noisy All night with traffic. Light sleepers should request a room off the main road. The second time we had a slightly smaller room, no patio and one bathroom with a soaker tub. The hotel has 2 small pools, one indoors, 1 outside. There is also a spa and sauna (we had to sign up in advance to use it). There is also at least 1 hot tub set outdoors, although it was cold and we had to wait about 30 minutes for it to get heated. There's multiple outdoor patios. There is also a weekend brunch with a DJ but we did not participate. There is a bar and restaurant on site, and the food and service was good. There are also several restaurants within walking distance (5-10 minutes), an OXXO, and a few nice cafe/coffee shops nearby. There is a Nespresso machine in the room, however they charge you for each coffee pod used. Some of these rooms go for upwards of $500 USD a night. I personally find it tacky to be charged for using the coffee in the room. Out of hundreded of hotels we've stayed in over the years this has Never happend, and I found it extreamly odd. Managers - please get rid of that, it is not customary and ”cheapens” the overall feel of the hotel. The service was excellent both times we stayed here, the food was decent and setting beautiful. We'll be back!

Hola mis amigos el día de hoy, les vengo a recomendar este hotel. Llegamos a descansar una noche por que tomábamos un vuelo muy temprano. Llegamos como a las 10 pm de la noche, en recepción muy amable el personal, al llegar al cuarto, muy limpio y bonito, Las camas súper a gusto y la ropa de cama también, de verdad que descanse mucho. Cual fue mi sorpresa?? El hotel por el simple hecho de quedarte ahí, te da en cortesía 5 días para dejar tu carro, tienen el servicio de llevarte y recogerte al aeropuerto. Es un plus que de verdad si vas tomar algún vuelo temprano de este aeropuerto, te recomiendo que llegues a este hotel. Tiene también el desayuno incluido, 🙌🏻🙌🏻 pero yo mi vuelo salió demasiado temprano y me fui antes de que abrieran, me dieron un box lonch. Bueno amigos aquí les dejo esta recomendación para si viajes del aeropuerto del Bajío a algún destino. Muchas gracias y seguiremos escribiendo
