The updated rooms were excellent while still maintaining the rustic charm of a cabin feel. We stayed in The Grove, and the landscaping was amazing, with lots of attention given to maintaining the property. The staff was kind and attentive, and many free amenities were provided. Proximity to the river for family activities was a plus. The quaint town was community-oriented and lively, with lots going on. Our family has plans to return next summer.

The Dawn Ranch food program is amazing. The husband/wife team are world class. A highlight for sure. In short the property is spectacular and the setting lovely. Unfortunately most of the cottages are either close to one another or close to the road. Some newer more quiet cottages would be a nice addition. Private pool party at a friends house small gathering I am a top entrance lol offhand A proper pool is highly needed. No sun loungers in the common meadow areas for naps or reading. A second food outlet would be great. Bocci ball, croquet and or archery would be great additions. The cottages are nice but not at 5 star level - great first try however. The property is almost there but badly needs upgrades. The staff are friendly but not terribly sophisticated and need a bit more training. This could be a stunning property. The spa is super nice and well appointed and so are the dining rooms. They could be positioned as an alternative to some of the wine region retreats if they make some badly needed changes to staff and property.

We really like it here for several reasons. The location, the room, the property and the amenities. Unfortunately, by check in, there's not much time to enjoy the amenities so I recommend staying 2 days at least. Also, love that it's pet friendly but 150 pet fee for the one night is excessive.

We stayed in one of the glamping tents. It was so much fun. The bathrooms were modern and clean. They gave out bags for s'mores we could do at our firepit. There was kayaking and a pool, which we did not have time to enjoy. The grounds were neatly kept and the staff wasbeyond friendly and helpful. From David checking us in late at night and explaining the property to us, to staff handing out s'mores, to the bartender that let us come in right at close for a quick drink. We had a great time.

We found this place on an online magazine and we were quite excited about our trip. The location and the nature around it is spectacular. Staff were helpful and friendly. However, this place is not managed like a 4 star hotel. Our upscale creekside cabin had no internet during our stay and nothing was done to fix it. Pool is supposed to be heated but when we went (which is across the street) pool was cold and there were no towels! Walking back in wet clothes was no fun. Also restaurant is not open for breakfast during Monday-Thursday. So 50+ guests were left with a coffee machine and a few pastries. What a wasted opportunity.

We had the best time here and would highly recommend it. The property is beautiful and the perfect location, within walking distance to town and right on the river. There were free kayaks and floatation devices available to take on the River and we had so much fun doing that. The breakfast included was delicious and the restaurant for dinner was such a great experience! They have fire pits with s’mores every evening and yoga classes available throughout the week. We loved it and can’t wait to return.

Property is beautiful! Love the access to the river and free kayak/tube rentals. Super relaxing place to stay and the roadside room was very nice and convenient. Hotel’s proximity to town is really nice. The breakfast staff though seemed disorganized, our main food came over 30 mins before our coffee and OJ, despite asking multiple times. And the wrong coffee came. But other than that nice breakfast experience sitting on the patio in the sun

Nice property, lots of room to roam in gardens and grassy areas. Great restaurant on property, large fire pit area to relax. Rooms are small but cozy. Staff friendly. It is a bit pricey but worth it for the experience.
