SYYF Guilin Shi and Far Xiangshan Hotel (Xiangbishan Liangjiang Sihu Branch)

Excellent hotel in central Guilin with superb service close to city attractions. Modern spacious room, good breakfast and top class service, eg being able to choose when to have room cleaned.

The room aesthetics looks amazing! Big space and bed is comfy. Amenities are regularly filled up everyday. Location is great as well about 10 min walking distance away from the elephant trunk hill. Pool is a bit small and awkward to swim in since the depth is at eye level to the restaurant so people will get an eyeful of legs in the pool. Breakfast has a good variety. Some foods tastes great like potatoes and noodles but I have to mention the siu mai is absolutely diabolical (tastes like playdough), it’s so bad it’s hilarious and a must try. But other than that it’s a great place! The staff are lovely too. Would recommend!

This was one of the nicest...cleanest...friendlest hotels I ever stayed in... The staff are fantastic...They do not speak English but hey....its their country so I should speak some Chinese....haha. Best bathroom facilities ever....including the inroom bath. I now know the joys of a fully automatic toilet....fsntastic. I must have a heated "throne " from now on. A nice buffet breakfast to start your day. I highly recommend yuu stay there. Thank you staff

Location: 5-8 minute walk to Sun and Moon pagodas, 10-15 minute walk to Elephant hill. Despite being next to the main road, its very quiet. There is a supermarket less than 1 min walk and a bigger one 5 mins walk away. Really good location, although its not central to everything, its only a 10min walk to everything. Room: Big, clean and well organised. The room has a view of the mountains, you just have to ignore the buildings in-between. The mini-bar is free for guests but only has a small coke and sprite and some chips. But having a fridge is nice Bathroom Shower is good, and a smart bidet toilet is nice. But this is where my main issue comes from. The bathroom 'zone' has the toilet in one cubicle, the shower in another cubicle and the sink outside them both. This seems fine and you cannot see anyone while doing anything due to the frosted glass. However, there is no dividing wall or barrier between the bedroom 'zone' and the bathroom 'zone'. Meaning if you get up to use the bathroom then the light from the bathroom will flood the bedroom. You may also be senstive to noise isolation being a factor too. The sink has a mirror with a light, this is an issue. Even with the light on the mirror off, the switch to turn on the mirror light is always lit and at night time it looks bright and you do not get a perfect dark room. Speaking of dark room, the curtains are controlled by a switch and are either fully open or fully closed, nothing in-between. Breakfast: Bread, noodles, rice, eggs, cereal, coffee, tea, sausages, dumplings, and more and a noodle-making station all available. The restaurant looks out over the infinity pool so it is very pretty. Common areas: The lobby is not large, but the rooms are very large so its a good trade-off. Theres a spa and travel agent (but we never used them) and everything is very clean and smells good. Everything is white with light-wood and looks modern, simple, clean and warm. Service: You can communicate in English via WeChat and any issues or questions are dealt with quickly. Everyone seemed friendly and warm. Good service Extras: There is a laundry room/ laundry service for free. A meeting room and Swimming pool but we didn't use it. Overall: This hotel has an excellent rating on Trip.com and it does earn it. Would stay again especially as the price is cheap and the location is decent but the quality of the furnishings and design of the hotel really are top-class. Would stay here again for sure.

Overall a great stay with family with the elephant mountain around 15 to 20minutes away. Hotel staffs were polite and gave good advice on our tour schedule. We booked the night boat tour from the hotel which is really much easier especially during peak season. The night tour is worth seeing and the food streets was just next to the boat tour and elephant mountain. Hotel is focus on children as there are kids playing area on the top floor and free ice-cream for the kids (on our stay) to keep the holiday spirit high. Room we stayed was double bed and room was really spacious, clean and well-decorated. Breakfast was good with coffee made specially by a hotel staff. Word of advice- Wake up early for breakfast and get the window seats for the see-through the swimming pool view. There are only 2 such view. Quite remarkable, really for the price. Awsome Hotel, everything was very clean and not noisy at all. We had a great welcoming reception and they had a lot of breakfast variety! Definitely would stay there again!

Gorgeous hotel with really comfy beds. Brilliant for families as well as couples. We only stayed for one night but we wish was longer.
