Hotel Jining dengan Gim

This hotel is an absolute gem and a true haven of peace. Unfortunately, I was only able to stay for one day, but it is the kind of place where you immediately feel at home. Everything about it was wonderful. One small tip for travellers coming from Europe: remember to bring a plug adapter.

The hotel just opened in 2024, so everything is still very new. The reception is on the top floor (27th), along with the restaurant, gym, and laundry room. My room was decorated in a B-Duck theme. It was super spacious and even had toys inside, which my child really enjoyed. Everything was cute and carefully arranged. I was surprised to see a Dyson hair dryer in the bathroom! The breakfast buffet was delicious and had more variety than other hotels I’ve stayed at recently. I especially liked the instant coffee packets – very convenient, and not many hotels offer that. There’s a free laundry and drying service, and they even folded the clothes and delivered them to the room after drying. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is also in a very convenient area, close to a supermarket and lots of good restaurants. I’ll definitely stay here again when I come back to Qufu.

Very good hotel, clean and tidy. The service people go ut their way to help. It is close to Jiningbei High-speed railway station.There are some food shops around. Jiningbei is not a large centre but has shops etc It is about 30 minutes to Jining City and could be a negative if you need to go there. For some manufacturers, it appears to be better as they are closer to Jiningbei. If you are looking for plenty of good food places and shopping malls, then go to Jining City. Overall the hotel is quite good, comfortable and the service people are excellent.

The hotel suite was very spacious, and had the feel and look of an apartment. There is a Macdonald’s adjoining the hotel, as well as a shopping center. The staff were friendly and breakfast buffet was adequate.

I chose this hotel for its amazing architecture and also because the interior design is by a Singaporean firm (yes, Singaporean pride! And yes, I’m the guest from Singapore). Qufu is a small town and the hometown of Confucius, and everyone has an endearing way of addressing each other as Teacher or Laoshi here, as 子曰：三人行必有我师 ie we can learn something from everyone. I dare say the JW Marriott is one of the best options in international hotels here aside from the Shang, but Marriott is more conveniently located to the Confucius Temple site and main tourist attractions. I love the 孔门豆腐 here; I had it twice during my short stay. There is a nice story behind the dish; let the server tell you about it. The one who served me was lovely. I asked her if I could record her introducing the dish; she was a little shy and said her Putonghua is not standard (yes, the local people talk with a thick Qufu accent, so if you are out of town, ask them to repeat to you slowly in Putonghua or use a translator), but she allowed me to record anyway. Charming place.

Location: it's walking distance to the entrance of Confucius Temple, it's a plus point. And it's at big intersections, so access-wise, the location is good. Cleanliness: great but could be improved as i still found the carpet and floor dusty Service: all receptionists were so helpful and friendly. they tried their best to communicate with non Mandarin speakers. Also, my deepest gratitude to MiaoMiao for her service. She even accompanied me to the restaurant next door to help me ordering some food. Such hospitality really moved me :”) Food: breakfast was great. didn't expect it to be varied but it was. from congee to salad, bread to rice, they got options. Tasted pretty good as well. They also gave a plate of fruits (tomatoes, bananas, orange) and were generous with bottled water

Mandarin speaking staff only. Almost at the door step of Confucius temple which was what we wanted. We were dropped off at the rear entrance of the motel which is the car park. The ground of the car park is in need of repair and we were worried by its look. We wonder what we had booked. The front of the hotel or main entrance was OK though. Reception was modern and simple. There is a wall at the back of reception that layout all the town's attractions with its respective distances; very handy. Room is a standard mid grade motel room, clean and functional. Room amenities is controlled from a small phone like screen next to bedhead. Swipe to reveal function like air conditioning. Heated and self flushing toilet for a motel; unheard of! Tried the buffet breakfast once, never again. The dumpling cafe which is diagonally opposite the rear entrance across the car park is excellent value. Nearest shopping centre is about 1km walk from motel.

Fantastic location next to the main attractions and shopping areas. Due to low season, there were no crowds and we had the breakfast buffet pretty much to ourselves. The buffet had a selection of local and international dishes. The staff were courteous and assisted wherever possible despite possible despite the language barrier. The rooms were massive and very clean. Our only complaint was the hot water in the shower of our room was not hot enough. We had it to the max and still the water was lukewarm. Not really good after a long day out in the cold!

all the staffs are all very friendly. the front desk, housekeepers, and the staffs in the restaurant. the variety of food in the breakfast spread was good. I especially like the complimentary fruit tray provided every afternoon and light porridge every night. the hotel was very understanding and had offered to change my room due to the leakage from the heavy rain. as I did not request for the change, I was impressed that they had try to accommodate thou running on full occupancy. I was impressed by the hotel teamwork n unity. the team worked together to block the flood from entering from the main gate by stacking the sand bags, they worked tirelessly in the heavy downpour and overcoming the flood. The main reason for our stay in Qufu was, of course, Confucius, and this hotel has a good location: we could easily walk to the Temple, envy as in with the mansion, then ride a horse pulled cart to the cemetery. Contract fulfilled. The sport place, across the street had fun night activities, and there were a lot of eateries, cheap and delicious, on the block The hotel itself shows its age with some deferred maintenance, such as a rusted parts in the bathroom, a sub-optimal laundry room, and some lacking service: for example, the tea and coffee bags in the room, an Atour highlight, were not replenished, and we were not offered water upon departure. Great breakfast, as always.
