I had a sea view room, but my balcony didn't get a complete view. The view is better from the infinity pool.
I had dinner at the hotel. €18 is not bad for the amount and variety of food. The food was good, tasty.
The room was average. Clean linen. The pillows are long and wasn't the most comfortable. There was just one pillow so no other pillow to exchange.
There was a kettle and tea. There was no coffee.
The airvent in the bathroom is either not working or not doing a good job.
My balcony mostly overlooked the pool. I was satisfied with the view.
The gym is not so big and extremely stuffy. The aircon is not working.
The spa was nice. Late afternoon were a good mix of guys. The spa is only open for 4 hours. I wish the spa was open later.
You need to walk a few steps down to the beach. There is another property in front of the hotel before you get to the beach.
The hotel is walking to a lot of bars, restaurants and clubs. The station is close by.
The infinity nude pool is a nice feature.
Both swimming pools are fairly cold. During my stay the water was a bit cold, the water is not heated. It was October.

El hotel está muy bien, buena ubicación, comodidad, las vistas y todo perfecto. Comida rica. Pero lo realmente DESTACABLE es el personal, son muy agradables, amables en todo momento, muy eficientes. Desde que entramos por la puerta en recepción nos han explicado todo fenomenal y todos los empleados son un amor. Volveremos seguro. Muchas gracias por todo ❤️

Very old school hotel (Bit dated) Yeah! needs a face lift. But location wise was superb. Right in the centre and just walking distance from Torremolinos Train Station. Beautiful views from the top floor overlooking the Mediterranean Ocean. The room was small and bed was awful. Staffs were very friendly. Not recommended.

We have enjoyed another wonderful holiday in this resort at the Don Pedro and will be sad to leave. The Reception Staff/ Reservation team were fantastic in allocating us a room that met all our needs. It was so well located with a sunny balcony, near a lift and walk in shower. Nothing was to much trouble and they were so helpful. 5 star recommendation The hotel is in a prime location on the Promenade and spotless throughout. Everyone is very approachable and it is good to see Management and staff ensuring clients have a lovely holiday. The Guest Relations team again couldn't do enough. The staff in the Dining Room were great and the food delicious and varied in addition to being very fresh. Evening entertainment was very good and enthusiastic animators. Bar staff were efficient and helpful Our room was cleaned well and bedding changed regularly. We strongly recommend this hotel complex and look forward to a return holiday next year Many Thanks

El hotel esta bien y su localización es bastante práctica. Lo unico es que el aparcamiento público en la zona es un poco complicado, pero si se busca bien, se logra aparcar relativamente cerca.
Las instalaciones del hotel son buenas, pero hay algunos detalles en los que trabajar como la preparación óptima de la habitación antes de la llegada de los huéspedes para evitar contratiempos.
En mi caso, al llegar a la recepción, no habían registrado mi desayuno a pesar de que lo tenía incluido. Al llegar a la habitación, la electricidad había sido desconectada y la nevera estaba estropeada, dejando un charco de agua alrededor.
A pesar de todo, despues de comunicarlo, la incidencia fue resuelta y me cambiaron la nevera.

We stayed at Sol Principe for two weeks and it was brilliant! The hotel is built for families, there is so much going on for kids, activities in the pool every day, kids club, mini disco etc. The pools are lovely, the whole hotel is really clean, the staff go above and beyond and are so friendly! We did all inclusive and the food was excellent, I don’t know how reviews can state otherwise, there is so much choice and every day there is a different theme! Our favourite was the seafood and Sushi. There is also an ice cream and picnmix bar for kids which is brilliant! The evening entertainment was good especially the circus show and the live soul band. The only thing that we would change is, as soon as the evening show finishes at around 10.45 the lights go off and the staff start clearing away, on the weekend the show continues until around 11, but again after the show all the lights are turned out at 11.15 and most people feel they have to leave. Even on holiday with kids it’s nice to be able to stay out until at least midnight and have a drink but you will be sitting in darkness.

Just got back from the most amazing holiday as a family of 9 in 3 rooms the hotel staff can not do enough for you and the entertainment staff go above and beyond our 10 year old twins have not stopped.. It's central to everything and the water park and selwo marina is a must.we only got back today and are already looking at booking next year. Never have we been so sad to leave somewhere 7days is not enough thank you for memory's that will last a life time.

Spent 5 nights in a Level room. Check in was smooth and easy, lovely friendly and helpful staff. The Level expereince was lovely, enjoyed breakfast each day (upto 12:00) with wonderful terrace top views. Special thanks to the chef (sorry can't remember her name) but she was wonderful, making my egg white omlettes each day-thankyou, I really appreciated it. She was so lovely and freindly too! The food in general was really tasty and plentiful. Enjoyed the cava at breakfast and throughout the day. Wine also available and soft drinks, tea/coffee with snacks. Each evening between 7-9pm spirits and beers also available free of charge with tapas. Our room was lovely and spotless clean, the bed was one of the comfiest I've ever slept in. We had a late flight going home and they let us use the facilities at the Level Terrace even after we had officially checked out. They also gave us a courtesey room to change in. Overall we found our stay to be well worth it and highly recommend Melia Costa del Sol. Thankyou to all of the team!

Friendly very clean hotel. Breakfast ample and varried. Staff were fantastic, the room was also fantastic. I'm going back definitely. The bed was to my taste with a see view room at a very reasonable price. The facilities were wonderful, although there is no bar at the hotel there are plenty within 30 meters of the hotel, also a supermarket next door. The beach is a five minute walk.

Allora ti chiedono la carta di credito quando arrivi da dove ti vengono addebitati i soldi del deposito che dovete fare molta attenzione che se non li chiedete indietro loro non vi danno i soldi dal deposito. Poi quando ho fatto la prenotazione sull’App scriveva che la colazione costa 10 € mentre in albergo ti chiedono 15 euro !  Per quello che riguarda i letti, non hanno letti matrimoniale ma solo due letti uniti. I pavimenti delle stanze sono un po’ rovinati e ovviamente tutto l’albergo ho bisogno di tanta manutenzione. La posizione è molto bello anche perché io ho la camera vista mare che in teoria a 25 m², ha 25 m² perché il corridoio dalla porta la stanza è lungo

MMan-Man65J'ai apprécié l'accueil et l'installation , la nourriture est excellente au restaurant et le brunch du matin est parfait pour la qualité de la nourriture et variété pour tout les goûts avec d'excellent café, jus d'orange pur et champagne !
La Chambre est très bien avec l'installation et accessoires pour cuisiner et réfrigérateur.
On à adoré les sorties achetés à l'hôtel pour visiter avec accompagnateur son vraiment bien organisé !
C'est super d'être près de la plage pour profiter de la mer et soleil à Costa Del Sol ☀️🇪🇸

Clean hotel, domestic staff were great, always very friendly. Reception staff were friendly. Brunch was fresh and plenty of choices. Bar staff and restaurant staff were rude and unfriendly. Not made to feel welcome by these staff at all. Bedroom view was horrific. Overlooked an unfinished building, was like looking at a construction site. Pool feels like a car park. Not allowed to have sun beds around the pool, but you can lie on the floor on a towel. No staff were able to give a rationale for this. I was charged for ice! No shower facilities after check out, we were told to shower at the pool shower. No privacy at all. We had to change in the toilets, with no shower.

We spent a week here for Christmas on an all-inclusive basis, staying in a superior sea view room. We've had a fabulous time. The Don Marco has been refurbished to an excellent standard, and our room was spacious, quiet, and with a fabulous view from the balcony. The meals were also first class. A huge range of dishes on offer. The staff were all keen to be of service and friendly. We even got to sit on Santa's knee! A lovely experience, we shall come again.

XX~tinaThe most bare hotel I have been to. Kettles need to be rented for a charge + deposit. There are no cups or cutlery in the room. Mini fridge is empty. I think I can understand why the hotel went for such measures given the crowd that is staying there - too many wild screaming Britons. Breakfast tables have nothing but a cloth. Lounge chairs are bare plastic making them very uncomfortable to use. Most of the chairs are in fact not available for use because guests dump their towels to reserve them and then not show up for hours. Staff allow this behaviour. The loud entertainment went on till 23:30 (accompanied by partying guests next door) so if you want to sleep any time before that - forget it, it's like trying to sleep inside a night club. Beach towels are not provided, bathroom towels cannot be taken out so if you didn't bring your own - tough. It is a beach property but the beach is private and hotel guests do not get any discounts. The shower was hot and had good pressure but there was hair left in the drain. Beds seemed good at first but I woke up with back pain. Went up to take a look at the roof terrace which looked lovely but we didn't stay for a drink. All in all the hotel was not for us and certainly would not recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing place.

Disliked · Staff were rude, blamed us when we made complaints, staff tried to threaten us with police and kept barging my partner just for complaining. Shuttle is shocking doesn’t pick you up from airport as you can only book from hotel, shuttle from beach was late then lied to as to why. Bugs in bed, shower not working all together just shocking. Bed was hard, walls were really thin could hear everything, beds changed by not put any clean bedding on!! Staff seemed really moody and annoyed whenever we asked a question or spoke to them. As we’re young tourists just felt unsafe and anxious so left to a different hotel on last night

More of a 3 star than a 4. Room cleanliness not the best. Always finding hairs around that weren’t mine. Maid forgot to leave hand towels one day but after asking at reception we were given some. Pillows very flat. I had to double mine over. Walls so thin I could hear someone snoring, could tell what they were listening to on tv and could hear conversations. Pool was in shade majority of the day and there was no atmosphere around the pool. No music or games. Roof terrace was a good place to get sun all day with all inclusive beer, wine and juice pumps up there but no pool or toilets nearby. Food was plentiful and always something for everyone. Not very hot but there were microwaves you could use. There were lots of flies flying around which was quite annoying. The toasters were terrible, one way and needed to put bread round 3 times to toast it. The snack bar which was open between mealtimes was the same foods for the whole week. No variation. The all inclusive options were beer or lemon beer, the wines which weren’t nice. The spirits were good. I liked the pink gin. The coffees were good from the coffee place. Some maintenance needs to be done around the place. The stair lights up to terrace near pool were all loose. In the restaurant the walls near the windows at the back are all marked. The tables/table mats are not cleaned between customers and we’re always full of crumbs. There was a dead fly on the window sill for 4 days near where we sat so not cleaned often. The staff are all nice and friendly.

I only stayed here for one night to be closer to the airport for an early flight. I’m so glad I didn’t spend any longer here. The person behind the front desk seemed totally disinterested in us. Somebody approached whilst we were checking in (perhaps another member of staff) and they were having a good chat whilst we were being checked in, which didn’t make us feel welcome or that we had their full attention . However, they did book us a taxi for an early morning pick up which was very efficient, and whoever was on the night shift when we checked out at 3.45 in the morning was much more engaged with us. The lift was rickety and the stairs were steep. The balcony door didn’t close properly. The bed was broken and wobbled loudly every time I moved even a tiny bit. However, I have to say the room was clean so at least there was that. No complimentary water or any nice touches like that. The worst part for me was the outside noise, but then I suppose if you’re staying in a hotel in the centre, what do you expect? We had to be up at 3.15 for an early flight, but the noise (drums, street dancers etc) went on until midnight at least. Not helped by the fact the balcony door doesn’t close properly. To be honest, even when we got up at 3.15am some noise was still going. You can also hear absolutely every noise from the next room and above. So I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel if you need to be up early the next day!

I had hoped that a gap of two weeks between returning home and writing a review of Hotel Parasol might see me in a less critical frame of mind than when leaving Torremolinos. It hasn’t. We spent 3 weeks (late Oct - mid Nov 2024) in Hotel Parasol, which is located close (300-400m) to the shore line, North East of Torremolinos town centre. We were on a half-board arrangement, and flew Arlanda-Zurich-Malaga with Swiss, all arranged (including some free and some subscription-only tours) by Albatros Travel - who will receive a copy of this and some observations specific to their own performance in due course. The hotel is located in an area whose access roads are narrow, having on-street parking for locals, so the bus bringing us to the hotel was obliged to pull in safely, about 150-200m from the entrance, along the nearest wide street, to unload. We then wheeled/carried our baggage to the hotel - manageable, but hardly ideal, and much less so if you’re travelling alone and/or need a walking stick to get around. The check-in went smoothly. I asked at reception about a key for the room safe and was asked for a deposit of €20 plus €3.50/day for 20 days, total €90 upfront, of which the deposit would be returned on departure. I chose to pay by card. Bizarrely the hotel doesn’t have a facility for refunding to cards, and the deposit was then waived. Nonetheless, €3.50 seemed a lot, given a daily rate between €1.50 and €2.50 is the norm for the area (I enquired). Price-gouging by Hotel Parasol? There are three lifts, all a little antiquated and quirky in how they operate. But they worked (initially), so apart from some dead flies in cobwebs near the door of one of them, and lots of fluff in need of removal from the lift door frame, the move to the room was uneventful. The room was fairly large, sufficient for two adults plus baggage, even when unpacked. Two single beds, side by side, a small desk, bedside furniture and a reasonably sized bathroom with walk-in shower. We were told that the hotel had been renovated (when was unspecified but “recently” was implied) and featured Scandinavian touches (I think they meant the shower). I noted dust on skirting boards, behind furniture and, in places, silicone sealant was showing signs of ingrained dust/dirt where it hadn’t been applied properly/thickly enough and there had been no routine wipe-down once it dried. There was a black soap-scum forming at the base of the shower glass partition and what seemed to be a mould-like scum starting on the ceiling tiles over the shower. The beds were firm but comfortable. The mattresses were clean & showed no signs of bed bugs. Extra pillows and blankets were in a large sliding mirror-door wardrobe. Sliding doors gave access to a reasonably sized balcony (two chairs & table) and a full sized set of blackout curtains kept the intense sunlight out.
