Hotel Saint-Malo dengan Gim

Very elegant hotel located on the beach. Beautiful views of the beach and sea. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Most spoke English, but some of the waitstaff didn't. Has spa within the hotel property that offers a variety of services. Breakfast offered a wide range of choices. Rooms were clean and quiet. Air conditioning and wireless worked great! The biggest downside is its distance from the town center. A good 30 minute walk down the boardwalk. But a lovely hotel with fabulous views of the channel.

Personnels agréables, à votre écoute et très accueillant, même la nuit avec son gardien. Hôtel idéalement situé, comprenant piscine et salle de fitness, bon petit déjeuner. Je recommande.

Comfortable bed, convenient underground parking (although it does flood and you may need to move the car to the street like we had to) and very convenient to the old city. There are lots of lovely restaurants within walking distance and the view is amazing if you get one with an ocean view. Overall an excellent option if staying in St. Malo.

I'm giving three stars, since I can imagine worse experiences, but three stars really feels generous. I booked Le Grand Be based on location, ability to get a parking spot, AC/elevator, and reviews. We arrived having not received any information on where or how to park. Saint Malo is a walled city with lots of tourists. Nowhere to pull over to figure things out. We got to the hotel and had NO idea where to put the car, nor was there anywhere obvious to unload. I had to drive around the block (takes way longer than you would think), drop off my son and get him to ask for help. A very nice front desk staffer came out to help with bags and told us where to park. I had reserved outdoor parking because they told me that would be easier to park in than indoor. I did not see the indoor, but let me tell you I hope they were wrong. You try backing into a spot surrounded by pedestrians, with parked cars immediately across from your spot, on a narrow street. It was harrowing. You also had to be very precise due to the metal blockers on the ground. Once inside, a different staffer checked me in. She said she needed my card for a (LARGE, more than my total stay) deposit, and I handed it over. Immediately, it became clear something was wrong. She did not attempt to explain, but called someone else over who was equally confused. It was clear to me that they had actually charged my card instead of using it for a deposit. When I asked, she confirmed that's what happened. They could not figure out how to refund it, and I ended up waiting about 20 minutes (already missing a lunch reservation) until someone came back who could refund it. They handed me a credit slip but my card was charged. The charge hit my bank immediately, of course, but the refund did not. That night, we realized our door didn't latch. Like to the point that it probably wasn't closing properly even when housekeeping left. Even knowing this was the issue, it took 7 or 8 slams to get it to latch. Slamming too hard would just make it bounce. Obviously, this was unsafe for my belongings when I wasn't there and unsafe for us personally at night. I called the front desk that night and someone came up who slammed it closed and said that's all you have to do, and left. From the inside, I couldn't even tell if it was truly closed, because from the outside, all you had to do was push it open. The next day, before we left with the car, I asked if I should park in the same spot, if I needed any kind of tag on the car, etc. They were confused about why I even asked. We came back hours later, and sure enough someone was in my spot, so I had to park in another spot. I reported this to them, and again they were confused and expected me to wait around. I finally told them we were going out to dinner (without the car) and would be unavailable to move it. This is now the second to third time, depending on how you count, that they expected me to sit around accommodating their is

Superb sea view room booked at a good rate through Brittany Ferries in a ferry and hotel package. Amazing listening to the sound of the waves as I went to sleep. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a wonderful bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and separate rain shower. The room was so luxurious and the view so good we didn’t want to leave and didn’t manage to try out the pool and spa area downstairs. The hotel is situated right next to the old town with a good choice of restaurants in close proximity. We had continental breakfast in the room and it was ok

Went there for Xmas and found out there was no cooker or even an oven in the property so had to find a restaurant at the last minute for our Xmas day lunch as a family of 6. The property was advertised as sleeping 6 to 8 and there was a 3-seater sofa only so really below-standard comfort. The kitchenware was minimalist and therefore we were unable to cook for 6 so had to resort to eating out and buying ready to eat food. No towel included unless you paid extra, no welcome pack (dishwasher liquid, dish cloth, tea towel etc) which in this day and age is absolutely basic and normal anywhere else I’ve stayed. This place needs to move on with modern times! Aldo had to make our own beds on arrival. All felt like a holiday in a kids summer camp with basic amenities. The surroundings were not lit at night and we had to walk around to avoid crossing the water logged muddy lawn around the house. Needless to say there was no door mat to wipe our feet, again this is basic! No wardrobes in the bedrooms either, just one on the landing. This property lacks too many of the basic normal modern comforts.

L’esprit manoir que nous recherchions est bien présent, quelques portes qui grincent, des parquets qui craquent, une décoration d’époque que nous avons bien apprécié. La literie de notre suite était excellente et la propreté irréprochable. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est également agréable et varié. L’accueil et le service sont discrets, et les conseils de restaurant des environs ont été les bienvenus. Le manoir et ses extérieurs sont authentiques et bien entretenus. Petit plus, notre petit chien a également été bien accueilli !
