Overall is a nice place to stay, the only downside is the outdoor swimming pool is not on site. No evening entertainment, you will need to know where to go in the evening. Otherwise it’s a good hotel.

Found the Bayview Hotel to be in an excellent location with bus stop just outside the entrance and short walk to Valetta ferry. Views from the rooftop swimming pool area amazing. Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We had 2 rooms booked and they very kindly placed us very close to each other on the same floor. Bed was memory foam which I had never slept on before, but found it to be very comfortable. Room clean with tea/coffee making facilities and little fridge. We did not have a sea view, but what seemed to be back yards of adjacent premises, so not particularly pretty, but acceptable. Airconditioning worked well. Bathroom clean with towels that were changed daily unless you wished to reuse. Bathroom very tiny, but adequate. Shower spacious and clean, but leaked. Breakfast plentiful with fresh croissants, bakes, breads, English breakfast choices, (perhaps not as hot as I would like), cereals, fruit salad, yogurts, etc. I liked the fact that the Manager introduced himself and asked if we were happy with the hotel and if all was well with our stay. We enjoyed the rooftop swimming pool/bar a couple of times. The pool tiling could do with some maintenance where some tiny tiles are missing and the some of the grouting is black/mouldy. Having free lockers for left luggage and shower facilities to use on your last day were a bonus. Overall it was a lovely hotel whose pros outweigh any small cons and I would not hesitate to return there.

Cockroaches in the bathroom! The apartment block is located on an unattractive side street and ‘hotel’ is hard to find. The balcony is on the interior of the hotel, not large enough to sit on and only looks onto other balconies. The roof terrace is open during limited hours and the pool is dirty and small. Bathroom windows open into an interior shaft which leads to roof terrace, the smell of cigarettes blows into room. Only two plates, one glass and one mug were provided. After asking twice we were provided with two additional glasses. Toaster has a European plug and kettle has a U.K. plug. The TV does not move to allow you to watch TV from bed. The TV also doesn’t tune into anything. Lift is slow and doesn’t reach room terrace.

The first day was uncomfortable, We had a standart small room next to the backyard( NO VIEW), too hot, also the air con operated very cold, the waste pipe was next to the room and when people flushed the toilet on any floor, the sound traveled into our room, and also the room was too hot, we paid more money to upgrade the room, then we stayed in a bigger room with a sea view.

We stayed for 5 nights and overall was a positive holiday, we enjoyed the location as was easy to Uber or bolt to other towns if needed. One thing to bare in mind that we only found out through digging that the pool isn’t connected to the hotel but across the road, you have to get a pool pass from reception everyday which we got used to pretty quick so wasn’t much of an issue. The hotel was decorated nicely and the rooms were modern, however lacking cleanliness, the skirting boards were very dirty and so were the floors, doesn’t take much to clean this properly! We also found a bug in our mug which is concerning. The air on also kept going up when we set it to 22 but this wasn’t too much of an issue as we weren’t in the rooms for that long at a time. The beds are two singles pushed together which would’ve been okay if they stayed together but the gap in the middle kept increasing, meaning the bed sheet came off every single night. Also sheets were not changed all week despite asking the room to be cleaned every day. Regarding the nights, the fire alarm went off one night, we came straight to the fire exit ( most other stupid guests didn’t and stayed on their balconies) which turned out to be an accidental call, this was fine however two nights later it went off again, once at 1am that lasted about 30 seconds and again the same night at 6am, I don’t know what is setting off these false alarms but this wasn’t appreciated and needs to be looked into. In terms of breakfast most days were the same but it was adequate and we enjoyed it, decent section of hot food, cereal and fruit. Alternate milks were provided which I really appreciated. Juice machines were not good they were way too watery. Only really one thing about breakfast is there are way too many table and chairs in one room, you could literally not get in and out of your seat. Our room was also next door to breakfast so not ideal as chairs woke you up sliding at 7am. The staff were friendly and helped if you needed them and lead us to the shower room on our final day when we were checked out of our room. Our room also seemed to not have a table and chairs so we had to take outsides onto it, think others did not sure why we didn’t. There is a safe u can use free of charge also which is very good. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel they just need to think about their hygiene and the fire alarm. Issues with hygiene and chlorine levels with the connecting pool club but that is a separate place but hotel should be concerned.

Great location, well appointed room with aircon as part of the price. The staff were very friendly. Shampoo and body wash and hairdryer in the room. I thought we were supposed to have fridge in the room which is the only thing it need. Free ticket to the Aqualuna beach club was fabulous and made for a great weekend away. Amazingly comfortable bed and pillows so slept well. The transfer from the airport was 30mins so if you want a getaway for the weekend it is perfect. Good and drink at the aqualuna was delicious and a reasonable cost.
