Hotel berhampiran Park Vlaskamp, The Hague

Great hotel, nice employee, fantastic service, phenomenal experience. I stayed there with a friend for a week, each day we left the hotel at the morning/noon before 11 am. Afterwards we got a cleaned room with new bathtubs and also the kitchen was refilled. The personal was cool. Would like to stay a bit longer

The Babylon Hotel is lovely, perfectly situated next to the Den Centraal train station and close to an abundance of restaurants and shopping. Just be careful leaving the train station: the hotel is on the other side of a building labeled ”New Babylon”. That's the wrong place! If you end up in New Babylon, and the train station is to your left, go to the left. We ended up walking around the entire building with all of our luggage, already exhausted from our travel, and took an extra 10 minutes to find the hotel. Oops! After that, everything was great. I'd definitely book there again.

Wir sind ganz spontan (einen Tag vorher gebucht) in den Niederlanden angekommen und zusammen mit unserem Hund eingecheckt. Der Empfang war sehr nett und im Zimmer stand schon eine Hundeschale mit Ball und Leckerlies bereit. -Ach so, wir waren im Erdgeschoss im Altbau untergebracht. Die Zimmergröße war ok. Allerdings fehlt jegliche Ablagefläche für einen Koffer und einen Schrank gab es auch nicht, lediglich ein offenes Regal mit ein paar Kleiderbügeln. Auch im Bad gab es lediglich 2 Haken für Handtücher und leider gab es im Bad auch keine Heizung....das war ordentlich kalt. Leider waren auch Flecken in der Bettwäsche vorhanden, ich vermute mal, die sind bei der Wäsche nicht rausgegangen...nicht schön. Die Betten sind nicht gerade bequem, aber wir sind ansonsten Wasserbettschläfer, denke da sind wir verwöhnt. Der Außenbereich war etwas ”schrammelig”, die Leihfahrräder lagen mehr oder weniger vor der Tür im Dreck. -Eigentlich alles Sachen, die man mit sehr wenig Aufwand etwas ansprechender gestalten könnte. Ja, ich kann meinen Vorrednern nur zustimmen, es ist sehr hellhörig. Unschlagbar ist aber die Lage, ca. 100 m und da ist man schon am Strand und zum Pier sind es vielleicht 5 bis 10 Minuten Fußweg. -Aber hey, wir haben für 2 Nächte 180 € gezahlt und ich denke, dass Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt und ich will nicht groß meckern. Das Frühstück kann ich nicht beurteilen, wir waren auswärts frühstücken. Da wir zum Glück Superwetter hatten und sowieso nur zum duschen und schlafen da waren, war es für mich echt ok und konnte damit leben. -Ich denke, es ist wirklich nur was für Leute, die nur kurz da bleiben wollen. Für einen längeren Zeitraum ist das Hotel leider ungeeignet.

I reserved a hotel with bath inside the room. When we arrived it was farely busy in the hotel due to the check in times. We waited for 20 minutes to check in and were told we got upgraded to a wellness room with a sauna. We took a walk along the beach which is litteraly in front of the hotel and we enjoyed a nice jacuzzi and sauna the rest of the evening. With a stunning view along the beach and city. Yes it was pricey! And parking in front of the hotel is 25€ per day or 6,50€ per hour which is really expensive (the hotel cant do anything about the parking fees because of the government, but maybe public transport is an option for you) Pricey, but absolutely worth every penny. And dont forget you get access to their own wellness included with your room!

Very welcoming hotel. It is located just 2 minutes from the underground and 7 minutes from The Hague train station. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning and the WiFi network are at the top in all the compartments of the hotel. The catering service and room maintenance are permanent and systematic. The quality and professionalism of the staff guarantee the safety and discretion of the customers. This is a hotel that personally appealed to me during my brief stay in The Hague. Hotel heeft en doet wat het beloofd. Heerlijk gelegen. Dichterbij de boulevard -zee en shopping centre kan niet: zeer centraal. Prima ingang voor rolstoeler. Met een handbewogen rolstoel heb je direct erna een klein duwtje nodig om bij de balie te komen. Dit is geen probleem. Andere bezoekers vragen direct een handje te helpen. Uitermate vriendelijke ontvangst. Veilige bagagestalling bij eerder aankomst c.q. Vertrek dan in / uitchecken. Meerdere liften aanwezig. Nooit wachttijd. Mijn rolstoel met e-motion wielen pasten net door de deur van de lift. Als ook tussen muur badkamer en scheidingsmuur. De deur is te zwaar om alleen te openen, sluiten vanuit rolstoel. Maar ach.....een negatief punt ? Welnee. Hoevaak doe je dat alleen? Kamer zeer netjes. Kingsizebed met tv flatscreen aan voeteneind. Heerlijk schuifdeur naar balkon. Geen enkel geluid gehoord. Zeer rustig. Badkamer heeft alles wat t moet hebben. Wel is elke m2 hier benut. Ligbad toilet en mooi wastafel compartiment. Handdoekservice. 1 badhanddoek en 1 badlaken p.p. Had voor ons wel 1 meer per dag gemogen. Een welkom met kaart en lekkernijen. Het meest heerlijk waren de bedden. Daar ik overal. Ook thuis brak eruit kom. Was het een waar genoegen te ontwaken, zonder ‘s nachts meerdere keren wakker te zijn. Mij goed te voelen i.p.v. brak. Zodanig. Dit bed wil ik thuis ook. Wij hadden incl ontbijt. Prima ! I was staying 5 nights. I had originally booked for 3 but wrote to reception back in November I wanted to extend the stay to 5 nights. I did ask should I just make a new reservation and they said no, it was recorded. This was confirmed as was the new price. When I arrived at reception, they had no record of my 5 night stay and I had to find the email to confirm both the extension and the remaining nights to pay. The person was lovely and sorted it out, but I felt a bit strange about it. Then after the 3rd night I received an automatic check out message so I checked with reception and they thought I was checking out and I had to go through the whole thing again. I had already paid so I explained that too. Anyway perhaps a note could have been added or something on the system. The location was perfect. I felt safe walking around at night and it was very convenient for the Amare centre. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot and the shower was a good size. I liked they had some BBC channels. I think on day 4, the wifi was down. This is not reception’s fault but it was out for probably 30 hours. This seems quite odd in a major hotel for it to be out for so long. Unfortunate but it was fixed eventually. Staff were nice. Lifts worked well.

Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en doet zijn haar best om het zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken voor haar gasten. Mooie uitzicht vanaf 4e verdieping. 1 minpunt is geen raam die verder open kan en geen.

De gastvrijheid en vriendelijkheid van het personeel was meer dan goed. Soms duurde het wel lang voordat de drankjes op het terras gebracht werden ! Het avond eten was niet bijzonder. Voorgerecht miste items en het hoofdgerecht was lauw. De serveerster super vriendelijk, zo zie je ze maar weinig meer. De kamers schoon en netjes. Matrassen zijn wel een beetje aan vervanging toe aangezien we naar elkaar zakten . Ontbijt een tien met een griffel ! Maar dat mag ook wel voor bijna 28 euro per persoon , maar wel live muziek van de piano. Al met al , zou ik zeker terug gaan maar niet meer dineren aangezien er voldoende eet gelegenheden in de buurt zijn van niveau !
