We vonden bij aankomst een wattenstaafje in de kamer. De badkamer is mooi, maar niet bijzonder praktisch. Als je in de kamer het licht uit doet (wat nog niet zo eenvoudig was), staat er ook geen stroom meer op het stopcontact. En dat is niet handig als je iets wilt opladen. De rest was, zoals je in een dergelijk hotel verwachten mag.

Room (upgrade received as HHonors Diamond member) was very clean and spacious as was the hotel and corridors in general. Executive lounge has a nice terrace and offered a very good variety of food during happy hour. Breakfast buffet is rich and of very good quality. The breakfast room can be very busy but guests can also use additional seating in the adjacent bar, so this is not a problem. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk away from the Binnenhof. Overall one of the best Hilton hotels we have stayed so far.

De gastvrijheid en vriendelijkheid van het personeel was meer dan goed. Soms duurde het wel lang voordat de drankjes op het terras gebracht werden ! Het avond eten was niet bijzonder. Voorgerecht miste items en het hoofdgerecht was lauw. De serveerster super vriendelijk, zo zie je ze maar weinig meer. De kamers schoon en netjes. Matrassen zijn wel een beetje aan vervanging toe aangezien we naar elkaar zakten . Ontbijt een tien met een griffel ! Maar dat mag ook wel voor bijna 28 euro per persoon , maar wel live muziek van de piano. Al met al , zou ik zeker terug gaan maar niet meer dineren aangezien er voldoende eet gelegenheden in de buurt zijn van niveau !

I was staying 5 nights. I had originally booked for 3 but wrote to reception back in November I wanted to extend the stay to 5 nights. I did ask should I just make a new reservation and they said no, it was recorded. This was confirmed as was the new price. When I arrived at reception, they had no record of my 5 night stay and I had to find the email to confirm both the extension and the remaining nights to pay. The person was lovely and sorted it out, but I felt a bit strange about it. Then after the 3rd night I received an automatic check out message so I checked with reception and they thought I was checking out and I had to go through the whole thing again. I had already paid so I explained that too. Anyway perhaps a note could have been added or something on the system. The location was perfect. I felt safe walking around at night and it was very convenient for the Amare centre. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot and the shower was a good size. I liked they had some BBC channels. I think on day 4, the wifi was down. This is not reception’s fault but it was out for probably 30 hours. This seems quite odd in a major hotel for it to be out for so long. Unfortunate but it was fixed eventually. Staff were nice. Lifts worked well.

Our bedrooms were clean and comfortable, with very comfortable beds. The hotel is centrally located, the buffet breakfast good. However, rooms overlooking the covered “Passage” shopping arcade have virtually no natural light and are noisy (cleaning starts early in the Passage and piped music is almost continuous when the shops are open!). We had two rooms, one overlooking the Passage and the other on the front of the building, which was slightly smaller but much more comfortable. Most frustratingly, we booked the hotel because it has a car park onsite but when we arrived we were asked if we drove an electric vehicle and told that as we do, we would not be able to use the car park as “electric vehicles are a fire risk”!!! This was particularly irritating because we had mentioned in our booking that we would be driving an EV. Disadvantages: no parking for EVs, rooms overlooking the “Passage” noisy and dark. Advantages: clean, comfortable beds, central.

I love Novotel as a chain, and have stayed at this hotel before and was quite happy. This time I felt things were a little off and I wasn't as satisfied. I seem to recall getting a free bottle of water in the room, which it appears is not included anymore. No more individual shower gels and soaps, but now big pumps of soap, which is OK if you have the complete set of them. Yes, it's more environmentally friendly but it's also a sign of cost-cutting. Breakfast was more or less the same -- good choice and quality -- except on a busy weekend they seemed totally overwhelmed and people had to queue to get a table. On a quieter morning, I noticed a sign stating one can request omelettes and poached eggs from the kitchen, so I did, and this dish never materialized, which was a little awkward. The fresh orange juice machine is awful: constant noise and queues of people taking ages to each make one glass of juice, as it requires that the user slice the orange and then ram each half, one at a time, into the machine, yielding a tiny amount of juice. Repeat for 6 or 7 oranges to get a glass... It would be funny to watch as slapstick if it weren't so annoying to listen to. On the positive side, the rooms are still attractive, comfortable, and quiet.

This is an older hotel and the upkeep hasn’t been up to standards. The security chain on our door was missing, and the shower head in the bathroom was not appropriate for the shower stall, which has a half wall of glass separating it from the rest of the bathroom, with the other half open. Instead of directing the water straight down (rainfall style) the non-adjustable shower head spreads the water pattern out, which sprays water out of the shower stall into the other half of the bathroom. We had to use the flexible shower wand to keep from making a mess in the bathroom. Breakfast was good, but very crowded on Saturdays. We booked the room with dinner included, but there seemed to have been communication or procedural problems between the front desk staff (which were very nice, but the way) and the restaurant staff (also very nice) on how to use the coupons. We’re issued a multiday coupon, which the restaurant staff insisted they had to take from us on the first day for proof of service, so we had to go back and asked for individual coupons for each day. The location was a little far from center of town, so walking there takes 30-45 minutes. It’s close to parks though, so good if you like nature. In conclusion, it’s an okay place to stay, but not someplace to rave about.

Real value for money staying in this hotel. And prime location for a family visit to The Hague. Friendly staff and clean room & facilities are always appreciated. Since I used a combination paying cash and loyalty points there was some issues but contacting hotel directly after my stay to sort out the issue was a success, and hotel staff really went the extra mile to sort out my problem. They even contacted Accor customer service for me to sort it out. Extraordinary service which was highly appreciated .

Very welcoming hotel. It is located just 2 minutes from the underground and 7 minutes from The Hague train station. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning and the WiFi network are at the top in all the compartments of the hotel. The catering service and room maintenance are permanent and systematic. The quality and professionalism of the staff guarantee the safety and discretion of the customers. This is a hotel that personally appealed to me during my brief stay in The Hague. Stayed here for 2 nights recently with my partner. As frequent travelers of netherlands to the various cities including den haag ,we had never stayed here before. Lovely experience overall with very pleasant and friendly staff. We had a garden view room(upgraded as club members) with everything you needed clean comfy bed,safe,big shower with toiletries etc and very quiet at night. Their was a complimentary breakfast included in the rate which was a buffet style but more than adequate with a selection of cold cheeses meats,cereals,pastries,teas coffees orange juice yogurts and boiled eggs. Decent coffee machine. Small little bar on site and ice machine in lobby. .We were given a late check out as we had a later flight which was truly appreciated . Excellently located for busisness or any of the visitor sites in den haag. We would definitely return and recommend.😀

The main problem was a cold bedroom. This is an old building and has no double glazing. There was a very strong December draught through the windows. We asked for a heater and were brought a broken one (which must have been clear when they plugged it in as the light didn't come on.) We were brought a working heater the next day but it wasn't an easy process. The room was surprisingly small for a premium room. Rooms do differ considerably in size, so check before you stay. We only had one chair, but were brought a second one promptly when we asked. Location excellent. Breakfast very good (lovely bread). Free minibar (water, juices and beer). Tissues, squeezey bottles of shampoo/soap, with a bar of soap left on our third day. No shower cap or vanity set. Basic coffee machine and tea making equipment (might be worth bringing your own coffee bags/instant coffee if particular). Good towels and flannels.

Room is not bad, 2 good single beds put together. Good TV and Wifi. Small balcony, but as most Standard rooms the view is a concrete jungle and not sea nor dunes. Bathroom is modern but questionable maintenance; the way the cleaners handle the refilled amenities (in itself better than disposable, of course) is laughable. A shampoo dispenser instead of a soap one near the sink is not helpful. Reception sent us a soap dispenser which we added, but the cleaning round next day just left all 3 dispenser bottles near the sink and did not fix the broken shower gel dispenser near the bath tub. Fitness is good. Small but nicely heated pool. Good sauna and seat bath; need some planning as the guests operate the on-off switches, hence one must switch them on 10-20 mins before planned use. Reception staff excellent and very helpful. Breakfast has excellent 4 star variety, with even made-to-order dishes. On first day quite some badly washed crockery, on 2nd day all was perfect. Hence the main issue of the hotel seems to be the cleaning and restaurant staff, and that could be partly out of their control (general labour shortages in the country.) Conclusion is still that it brings down the rating to 2-3 stars, not the 4 stars they should have.

alles in allem sehr gut. Wir nutzten die Tram 1 zum Strand von Scheweningen, alle paar Minuten und immer pünktlich.(3tage Ticket - überall einsetzbar 20€) Für die Wellnesseinrichtung hatten wir wegen des guten Wetters lider keine Zeit. Essensempfehlung ist der Italiener in der Kreikerstraat(auch mit der Tram in ein paar Minuten erreichbar. Frühstück im Hotel ließ keine Wünsche offen: z.B. Eier gekocht -2Grade, Rührei,Spiegelei, ＜omlett in 2 Variationen. Wir empfehlen das Hotel und würden es immer wieder buchen.

Das Hotel an sich liegt wunderbar zentral. In der unmittelbaren Gegend viele Cafés und Restaurants. Das Personal beim Check-in war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer modern und schön eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein kleiner Punkt, den wir uns gewünscht hätten: im Bad hätten wir gerne 1-2 Haken mehr gehabt um etwas aufzuhängen. Ansonsten ein schöner Aufenthalt im Hotel. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

A lovely, old style four star hotel in a convenient neighborhood. I was able to rent a bicycle for the entire day for only 17.50 euros so I could explore the town and visit the beaches. I had a very early flight and was able to request a light breakfast and juice to go which was a very nice service. Front desk staff were all very friendly. I did request a wake up call which never happened. Fortunately I had set my own alarm. The staff did call me when my 4am airport taxi arrived at the hotel and all was well. A small hiccup in an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Our bathroom was really cool with a door that was simutaniously a bathroom door and a shower door. We were really impressed. It was big enough to just stay the night and clean yourself up in the morning, not a place for hanging in the appartement. It was clean and comfortable.

Our executive king size room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was huge, with super soft pillows and the mattress had adjustable firmness - so a great night’s sleep! Dual aspect windows meant it was lovely and light during the day, but we would prefer better room lighting after dark. Gorgeous large and very clean bathroom. All amenities as we expected - we liked having both a coffee machine and a separate kettle for tea. A few more electric sockets would have made life easier, and we needed our charger/adapters as there were no USB sockets, although the Wi-Fi was very good. Breakfast was an extra for us, but excellent on the morning we had it. We enjoyed walking to nearby bars/restaurants in the Noordeinde (La Liguria very good) and it was an easy walk for trams to Scheveningen/other parts of den Haag. All in all, this friendly boutique hotel was an excellent choice for our three night mini break.

The location is great , close to city Center and museum, just 2 minutes walk from the closest tram station to get off. Thought there is a restaurant in hotel from the photos but indeed just a dinning area together with the front desk area which only provides breakfast. Large room, bed and toilet are clean , kitchen is good too if you wish to cook, more homie feelings to stay in here, but the sofa in my room was having some stains. Also the room is quite (no noise from outside) , feeling secured too as solo traveller. Originally thought the washer is inside my room, but actually are all in the public washer & dryer room, tho 24 hours open, btw no washing powder provided you need to bring or buy yourself. Still good for long-trip traveller. Overall is not a bad stay with this location and room size , maybe not the best but still worth the prize

Short trip to The Hague to the Palais Hotel. Wonderful location and very nice hotel. We were warmly welcomed. Online check in or check out was easy online. Everything was super easy. I was even able to control the entrance doors via app. Simply safe and very good! Room was on the second floor, accessible by elevator. Access by car to the hotel entrance. Parking around the corner. Our dogs also felt at home. There was even a dog bone at the beginning. This hotel is centrally located in the city center. We were able to reach the beautiful Christmas market in a few minutes. The city center is a highlight at Christmas time. Wonderful - we will definitely come here again. Thank you for your hospitality at the Hotel Palais.

This place is both good and bad. Good - 1) has a cafe in front which served really good coffee and food. Food was vegan - the vegan hamburger was excellent and the coffee great. Decent beer and wine selection and the cafe staff (who also check people in and out of hostel) were very friendly and efficient and make a great cup of coffee! 2) laundramat very close by; 3) cafe has bands/musicians some nights and were OK; 4) cafe serves as a lounge area and has games for people to play and hang out; 5) location was great - a metro station is just outside the back door and trams pass by every few minutes; 6) price is very good per bed; 7) other fellow guests were pretty quiet. Bad - 1) Room was dirty - floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned or swept in a long time - especially under the bed. Lots of dust, dirt, etc. under the bed. When we checked in a lone dirty sock was on the floor near my bed. Was told by another guest it had been there for days. I stayed there 5 days and it was still on the floor when I left. Dropped my book under the bed and it was covered in dust when I retrieved it. The walls really need a paint job. Just felt grimy staying there; 2) Several bathroom fixtures did not work. There is a room for toilets - the sink to wash hands did not work so you had to go to the shower room to wash hands. There were three sinks in the shower room, but one of those also did not work - not a great situation when several people are trying to brush teeth and wash hands, put on makeup, do their hair, etc. 3) The cafe out front is open to the public and the only bathroom for those customers is the same one that the hostel guests use. With the toilet sink not working, that means a lot of people coming and going to use the sink available in the shower room. Really made me uncomfortable taking showers in the evenings with all the people coming and going into that room. 4) one of the showers was used several times to store equipment, making it unavailable for use. 5) We stayed in one of the first rooms in the hallway coming from the cafe - all the food smells and noise of the cafe permeate into the room. 6) loved that bands play in the front room on some nights, but they were EXTREMELY loud and played till around 11:45p so if you stay in that room, be prepared to not sleep before midnight. 7) loved that there was a cafe that served coffee and breakfast - but it didn't open until midmorning in April so not really useful for morning coffee - you'll have to search out a place a distance away - nothing really open at that time in the near vacinity so got used to taking the metro every morning to get coffee on the way to sightseeing. 8) there were lockers in the rooms, but the one I was using was broken so there was no way to close it or lock it; 9) one of the staff evidently had one of the beds in the room permanently which felt a little weird. The rules stated no food in the rooms, but this rule evidently didn't apply to him. I think i

We werden erg vriendelijk ontvangen. Ze wist ook leuke lunch/eetgelegenheden en leuke plekken waar je een heerlijke cocktail kon drinken. Super fijn! De kamer was ontzetten netjes en schoon. Mooi aangekleed. Badkamer was schoon. Airco deed het niet goed of eigelijk TE goed, het was fris op de kamer. Ze waren erg vriendelijk om het probleem op te lossen. Later kregen we nog een fles bubbels voor het ongemak. Had zeker niet gehoeven maar werd ontzettend gewaardeerd. Ontbijt was bij te bestellen. Dit was prima/goed. Niet al te uitgebreid maar meer dan genoeg! Ook leuke kroeg onder het hotel waar je tot laat nog gezellig kon aanzitten met vrienden. Absoluut een aanrader!!

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for more than one week. We had a very very pleasant stay . Spacious comfortable room and very clean bathroom. This hotel is located in the middle of the city centre . Ms Nese and Mr Ingo were in the reception desk when we checked in , they are very friendly and helpful. The main problem was a cold bedroom. This is an old building and has no double glazing. There was a very strong December draught through the windows. We asked for a heater and were brought a broken one (which must have been clear when they plugged it in as the light didn't come on.) We were brought a working heater the next day but it wasn't an easy process. The room was surprisingly small for a premium room. Rooms do differ considerably in size, so check before you stay. We only had one chair, but were brought a second one promptly when we asked. Location excellent. Breakfast very good (lovely bread). Free minibar (water, juices and beer). Tissues, squeezey bottles of shampoo/soap, with a bar of soap left on our third day. No shower cap or vanity set. Basic coffee machine and tea making equipment (might be worth bringing your own coffee bags/instant coffee if particular). Good towels and flannels.

Short trip to The Hague to the Palais Hotel. Wonderful location and very nice hotel. We were warmly welcomed. Online check in or check out was easy online. Everything was super easy. I was even able to control the entrance doors via app. Simply safe and very good! Room was on the second floor, accessible by elevator. Access by car to the hotel entrance. Parking around the corner. Our dogs also felt at home. There was even a dog bone at the beginning. This hotel is centrally located in the city center. We were able to reach the beautiful Christmas market in a few minutes. The city center is a highlight at Christmas time. Wonderful - we will definitely come here again. Thank you for your hospitality at the Hotel Palais.

It's a very nice hotel, located in the center of the city. Beautiful design, the rooms are pleasant. The breakfast is good. Those who come with a car are advised not to park in the parking lot below the hotel, because it is expensive. We camped in a parking lot within walking distance (of course after dropping off our luggage at the hotel) on Geest Street 1. We had a less pleasant experience, our daughter felt sick, and they had no idea where to refer us and we were even sent to the emergency which turned out to have been closed for 3 years. So only health, and enjoy.

Das Hotel an sich liegt wunderbar zentral. In der unmittelbaren Gegend viele Cafés und Restaurants. Das Personal beim Check-in war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer modern und schön eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein kleiner Punkt, den wir uns gewünscht hätten: im Bad hätten wir gerne 1-2 Haken mehr gehabt um etwas aufzuhängen. Ansonsten ein schöner Aufenthalt im Hotel. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Our executive king size room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was huge, with super soft pillows and the mattress had adjustable firmness - so a great night’s sleep! Dual aspect windows meant it was lovely and light during the day, but we would prefer better room lighting after dark. Gorgeous large and very clean bathroom. All amenities as we expected - we liked having both a coffee machine and a separate kettle for tea. A few more electric sockets would have made life easier, and we needed our charger/adapters as there were no USB sockets, although the Wi-Fi was very good. Breakfast was an extra for us, but excellent on the morning we had it. We enjoyed walking to nearby bars/restaurants in the Noordeinde (La Liguria very good) and it was an easy walk for trams to Scheveningen/other parts of den Haag. All in all, this friendly boutique hotel was an excellent choice for our three night mini break.

Stayed here for 2 nights recently with my partner. As frequent travelers of netherlands to the various cities including den haag ,we had never stayed here before. Lovely experience overall with very pleasant and friendly staff. We had a garden view room(upgraded as club members) with everything you needed clean comfy bed,safe,big shower with toiletries etc and very quiet at night. Their was a complimentary breakfast included in the rate which was a buffet style but more than adequate with a selection of cold cheeses meats,cereals,pastries,teas coffees orange juice yogurts and boiled eggs. Decent coffee machine. Small little bar on site and ice machine in lobby. .We were given a late check out as we had a later flight which was truly appreciated . Excellently located for busisness or any of the visitor sites in den haag. We would definitely return and recommend.😀

The location is great , close to city Center and museum, just 2 minutes walk from the closest tram station to get off. Thought there is a restaurant in hotel from the photos but indeed just a dinning area together with the front desk area which only provides breakfast. Large room, bed and toilet are clean , kitchen is good too if you wish to cook, more homie feelings to stay in here, but the sofa in my room was having some stains. Also the room is quite (no noise from outside) , feeling secured too as solo traveller. Originally thought the washer is inside my room, but actually are all in the public washer & dryer room, tho 24 hours open, btw no washing powder provided you need to bring or buy yourself. Still good for long-trip traveller. Overall is not a bad stay with this location and room size , maybe not the best but still worth the prize

Our bedrooms were clean and comfortable, with very comfortable beds. The hotel is centrally located, the buffet breakfast good. However, rooms overlooking the covered “Passage” shopping arcade have virtually no natural light and are noisy (cleaning starts early in the Passage and piped music is almost continuous when the shops are open!). We had two rooms, one overlooking the Passage and the other on the front of the building, which was slightly smaller but much more comfortable. Most frustratingly, we booked the hotel because it has a car park onsite but when we arrived we were asked if we drove an electric vehicle and told that as we do, we would not be able to use the car park as “electric vehicles are a fire risk”!!! This was particularly irritating because we had mentioned in our booking that we would be driving an EV. Disadvantages: no parking for EVs, rooms overlooking the “Passage” noisy and dark. Advantages: clean, comfortable beds, central.

Stayed in a comfort room city view. A small but very modern room with a new bathroom. The room had a coffeemaker and a water boiler and a nice view overlooking the square. The location is next to shopping, restaurants, museums, and the Parliament. You can walk from Den Haag Central station through the city, which takes approx 20 min. It's a nice hotel, but the walls are a bit thin when other guests are coming through the hall way or are in the room next to you.

Such an amazing experience! From the moment you arrive in the lobby, you feel at home. Amazing views from the 9th floor of the city and you can even spot the sea from there and your room! Rooms are basically brand new, and fully equipped with everything you might need during your long stay. The decor is so nice you wish your house looked that good haha There's even a welcome pack with essentials waiting for you as you check in! Breakfast is just perfect, as it has a bit of everything and it is enjoyed with the nicest views. The gym is quite big, it provides towels and water. There's a laundry room with washing machines and a drier so you can do your laundry during your stay. I will be coming back soon as not also the place is amazing and the employees are the sweetest and make you feel very welcomed from the beginning.

We had such a lovely stay, the management team were very helpful and the room was perfect for our family needs. A separate room for the kids with bunk bed meant we could enjoy the evening with separate TV and mini kitchen in the adults area. Plenty of bike rental places very near by which are very cheap. De gastvrijheid en vriendelijkheid van het personeel was meer dan goed. Soms duurde het wel lang voordat de drankjes op het terras gebracht werden ! Het avond eten was niet bijzonder. Voorgerecht miste items en het hoofdgerecht was lauw. De serveerster super vriendelijk, zo zie je ze maar weinig meer. De kamers schoon en netjes. Matrassen zijn wel een beetje aan vervanging toe aangezien we naar elkaar zakten . Ontbijt een tien met een griffel ! Maar dat mag ook wel voor bijna 28 euro per persoon , maar wel live muziek van de piano. Al met al , zou ik zeker terug gaan maar niet meer dineren aangezien er voldoende eet gelegenheden in de buurt zijn van niveau !

I like the size of the room that has ample space to open a big suitcase on the floor. The bathroom is also nicely heated, and the shower strong and nice. Location was great and safe and easy reach by tram. My son and I even walked to the scheveningen beach from the hotel. Just one note on the rooms : you can hear footsteps from the room above yours.

We werden erg vriendelijk ontvangen. Ze wist ook leuke lunch/eetgelegenheden en leuke plekken waar je een heerlijke cocktail kon drinken. Super fijn! De kamer was ontzetten netjes en schoon. Mooi aangekleed. Badkamer was schoon. Airco deed het niet goed of eigelijk TE goed, het was fris op de kamer. Ze waren erg vriendelijk om het probleem op te lossen. Later kregen we nog een fles bubbels voor het ongemak. Had zeker niet gehoeven maar werd ontzettend gewaardeerd. Ontbijt was bij te bestellen. Dit was prima/goed. Niet al te uitgebreid maar meer dan genoeg! Ook leuke kroeg onder het hotel waar je tot laat nog gezellig kon aanzitten met vrienden. Absoluut een aanrader!!

I have stayed in this hotel for 4 days. Nice location, friendly staff and spacious rooms. Room cleanness was not good, I checked in and asked to vacuum the room and clean the garbage from previous guest. However Daily cleaning was good. Mini fridge was missing in the room. Overall happy with hotel and staff. Thank you.
