Very good quality hotel. Clean and comparable to a decent 5-star hotel chain. Excellent amenities including sky bar, rooftop pool, spa, gym. Breakfast was also very good. Staff were helpful throughout. Bai Chay is a good location for booking a sightseeing cruise to the HaLong Bay islands as the boat harbour is close by. There are many restaurants and local shops adjacent to the hotel, although not much regards western-type restaurants or bars. Overall great value for the price 👍

Nice hotel. Pool is great. Only one recommendation: Maybe they can provide towels and Desinfektion in the gym for the future.

What a hotel. Staff are amazing ... room and view was amazing... ..swimming pool amazing..staff at pool bar were exceptional. I was there to relax for few days and i did. The only down of his hotel is location.. it is quite a bit away from restaurants and shops.... you will have to love walking or getting taxis ... which are not expensive...

The Watson hotel is a lovely hotel. Even though we stayed only weeks after the typhoon has been through the area and some areas were being repaired, we were still able to relax by the pool and enjoy our stay. The rooftop pool and bar is perfect to watch the sunset. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, light and had a nice view of the bay.

My stay at The Watson was nothing short of perfect. Stunning view, close to many shops, near Tuan Chau Island where you get to board cruise ships. Breakfast was great and had many options. Service was impeccable from all staff members, especially from Ms Huong. She went out of her way to make my stay comfortable.

It’s new and good, but very few restaurants around. We went to a nearby seafood place for dinner, and it looked like group tourists restaurant. It’s the most expensive meal we had in the 8 days Hanoi trip.

The hotel is new and clean, stuff is very friendly and professional. Everything was very good during our stay. The only unpleasant thing is construction right under windows of sea view rooms. It started at 7 am and was really loud. However, it is definitely not hotel’s fault, and moreover, the stuff provided us another room twice: one on the higher floor and another on the other side of the building, where the sound of construction is almost zero. We really appreciate that! As for location - you will need to use taxi to get to city centre, restaurant and cruise ports, but that’s ok, if you have Grab/Bolt. The prices between VND 45,000 and VND 140,000 depending on distance. N.B. We’ve visited Halong at very low season, so c. 60% of bars/ restaurants were closed and the rest were empty (except for couple of European).

In contrary to a lot of the 1-2 star comments, the hotel was build in 2023 but it does feel a bit old and amenities it feels more like a 3 star rather than 5, BUT considering the price, our stay was quite pleasant, the room was clean with great view, I especially applaud the service staff at the front desk, they speaks both basic Chinese and English which made the communication much easier, gave us recommendations for food near by and if you wish to book cruise , they have their own contact as well, but my advice will be still doing your own research and go with your own preferred choice. The check out time is 11am instead of 12 stated on trips, but we had to check out a bit late at 11.30qm, the front desk did not made any fuss about that, everything was good and smooth. For the price you are paying, the room and service is up to the price point’s expectation personally.
