Hotel berhampiran Zollkanal, Hamburg

Booked here for a business trip. All was generally fine with the hotel. You need to climb a fair number of steep steps to the rooms. Overall: Clean room, comfy bed, desk to work from, good shower. The only oddity was that I had to check-in with a sister hotel across the road (Hotel Residence), where the staff were friendly and the check-in was quick.

Ein tolles Hotel, in welchem auch unser Hund willkommen war. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und kommen gern wieder.

I stayed in ”Alte Wache” hotel 2 nights for working reasons, arriving by taxi from the apt. The kindness, courtesy and service efficiency of the gentleman and the lady at the reception deserve a top rate. They both are a great example of care and warm hospitality, making every guest feel really welcomed. The lobby is nice in its old fashion style, the double room is spacious, perfectly clean and silent; breakfast was very good, and much better than some 4stars hotel: the tea blend selections very appreciated and the fresh flower on the tables a lovely, precious gift!! 2 small suggestions: 1) the morning waitress should be a little bit more smilying; 2) do not accomodate a person alone in a dinner table for 6. The hotel is also extremely close to city center (walking distance), so I really reccomend it!!

Stayed in a single room, then switched to a 6 man dorm on the final night as it was Sunday and was expecting it to be very quiet. The single rooms are spartan and there is not even a chair, just some little stuffed stool. The issue in Hamburg is that accomdation is expensive in the city. For the same money, you could stay at a very nice 3 star hotel in many European cities! The 6 man dorm seemed quiet and ok, and then I noticed the issues. There were beer stains on the floor that acted as adhesive for my shoes. Crumbs and discarded sweet rappers in and around the bed. I had the room to myself so didn't complain. Settled for a decent night's rest. That's when someone came in at midnight (Sunday) and loudly stomped around, turning on all of the lights. They then took a shower and took their merry time settling into bed... For the price the rooms are not up to scratch. However, there aren't many ”cheaper” alternatives in Hamburg and the hostel (that charges hotel prices) know this. The check-in service was tedious and there's a queue at check in time. When I switched rooms to the 6 man dorm I said I wanted an early checkin to the that room if possible, and on the quiet side of the building (non motorway). They said no problem. Then, when I went to the room, it was of course on the noisy side. Went back and had to wait a couple hours longer before I could access the quieter room that I had asked for. The customer service is not great. They'll ask for your booking number even after you tell them your name. I did not feel like digging around for the number so I said my name and they searched for it (much to their distain probably).

Great location, in the middle of happenings, hostel room was clean and decent, nothing to complain about!!!

The first thing I told the friend I was sharing the room with, once we got to it, was that I was very curious about how the soundproofing would have performed during the night, as I saw our window gave onto a major, very busy road. Well, it turned out to perform more than well, as we simply forgot about the cars outside when we turned off the lights to sleep. The beds are comfortable, the pillows perhaps a tad too soft. The breakfast buffet is diverse and ideal to keep you going for the best part of the day, although the selection could be a bit more diverse. Anyway, the make-your-own-waffle station makes up for that. The only drawback - and the reason for this review not getting all five circles - is the drainage of the washbasin in the bathroom: this is not the first hotel where I happen to come across a washbasin where the water level immediately starts rising is the ceramic bowl the moment you open the tap, and then takes ages to drain. This is something the housekeeping staff could - and should - easily spot. Other than this, flying colours.

Zum Preis ist das Hotel ganz okay. Das beste ist die Lage: etwa 5 Minuten zur S-Bahn und zur U-Bahn, etwa 100 m zu dem Supermarkt, der Drogerie, dem Apotheker und ganz viele Restaurants (z.B. vietnamesisches, persisches, libanesisches, türkisches) Aber bestimmt ist das Hotel nicht perfekt. Der Schreibtisch im Zimmer ist winzig und es fehlt ein Stuhl. Es gibt nur zwei Polsterhocker. So unbequem! Es gibt keinen Eisenbügel, Kaffeemacher oder Wasserkocher. Abends ist das Esszimmer bzw. Gemeinschaftraum geschlossen. Also keinen Platz für eine Besprechung oder außerhalb dem Zimmer zu arbeiten. Aber wenn man vorhat, im Zimmer nur zu schlafen und baden, dann geht es ganz gut.

Das Hotel ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, aber Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut Top !! Frühstück ist sehr gut und reichlich ! Einzig der Kaffee aus dem Vollautomat war komplett kalt. Es gab aber auch Kaffee aus der Kanne, der war ok. Das Zimmer war ok, nur wo der Kühlschrank mal drin war, da war nichts mehr drin.... aber sonst war alles ok und sauber.

Die Zimmer sind groß, modern und geräumig - mit abgetrenntem WC. Das Frühstück ist top , alles was das Herz begehrt sowie auch selbst zusammengestaltetes Omelette. Saunabereich klein aber fein , mit 2 Saunen ,Fußbecken und Ruheraum. Freundlicher Empfang , auch obwohl wir vor Check-In Zeit da waren , gar kein Thema und das Zimmer war schon frei. Das einzige Manko für uns ist die nicht so gute Lage , da die nächste Ubahn Station ein Stückchen entfernt ist. Alles in allem ein schönes Hotel :-)

공원과 지하철 근처여서 좋았고 조식도 종류가 많진 않았지만 맛있고 서비스도 좋고 좋았어요 공원이 보이는 뷰를 달라하면 더 좋았을거 같아요 프론트 분들도 친절하고 좋았음 다만 근처에 조금 큰 슈퍼나 식당 등 번화가는 꽤 걸어야해서 불편함
