Ulasan City Xiyouli Hotel (Hangzhou West Lake)

A very interesting hotel concept and theme based on Journey to the West. Very thoughtful design concept and spacious family room design. Excellent service experience from check-in to housekeeping to instant responses to our We Chat feedback. Special mention to 小范 and 小周 who were very customer service oriented. They also brought us to other rooms after we gave feedback that the dual family room we booked seemed noisy as it was facing the busy main road. The housekeeping team also included a mattress topper when we gave feedback that the mattresses were hard. Location was excellent within walking distance to 武林夜市 and 西湖。 Saves us a lot of time in commuting.

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. The staff at the counter were very helpful and polite, especially Xiao Fan (小范).who provided excellent service. She even couriered items that we left behind to our apartment in Shanghai. The breakfast spread was good, and we would also like to compliment Pei Pei (佩佩), a staff member at the restaurant, for her impeccable service. She went above and beyond, even sharing recommendations for places to visit. The hotel is relatively new, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Its convenient location—just a short walk to West Lake and a minute to the MRT entrance—made getting around effortless. The only minor downside was that the mattress was a bit firm for our preference, which seems common in China. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant stay overall, and we would definitely return when we visit again.

Overall very awesome 2 nights stay at the hotel, the counter staff are all friendly and approachable especially 小周. The metro is just located in front of the hotel and walking distance to Wulin night market.

Well located at Fengqi Rd. You can exit by D2 or B, personally we feel B is better. Escalator at D2 was on repair, we had to lug luggage up the stairs, was bad. You don't see hotel name right outside, it is situated inside Zhejiang Hotel. Took us a while to find cos we asked the porter. Wulin Market is right bhind, lots of bbt options. Drinks inside mini bar are complimentary. Didn't get to eat the fruits cos not free to eat.

Very good location next to Wulin street and YAAN road 10 mins walk away. Big rooms with 1 king bed and a bunk bed that can easily allows 5 pax to sleep. Loves the detail that this hotel room provided and the rest area outside the room is awesome. The best of their laundry and dryer (FOC to use) that in my opinion is high tech machine and sufficient to use. Awesome breakfast and great ambience. Will definitely book the same hotel whenever back in Hangzhou ! Well done !

This is the best hotel my family and I have stayed in China.The family room can easily accommodate 4 adults and 2 children. The hotel toilet is very clean too. It is just a stone throw away from the metro station, which is so convenient. We were also greeted by smiles by the hotel staff. We would like to thank 小张 and 秋风 for their hospitality during our stay there. There is also a big table provided at my floor area for us to dine there. The breakfast buffet was also great! Will definitely book this hotel in future!

This was the best hotel throughout our trip in China. The rooms were spacious and clean. Beds provided were nice to sleep on. The daily breakfast was really good and it had a good spread of delicious food. Coffee provided was very good too. We would definitely stay here again if we ever visit Hangzhou again 👍

小张 service was excellent. If there is a 5.1 Stars rating, I will give it. I am totally impressed from the room to the toilet to the morning breakfast restaurant. Initially I was skeptical about this hotel as it looks too good to be true. Cleanliness. Spotless. The feel and the area to me is very clean and tidy. Very comfortable. Location. Near to metro, Feng qi station. About 30m away. Didn't take it but if u are looking for a hotel near a metro, no hesitation Service. From front desk to the hotel staffs, they are all very professional. Amenities. For anyone looking for a hotel with washing machines, there are 4 wash machines and 4 dryers at level 5. At level 8, there are 1 dryer and 2 washing machines. Good if u need a chance to wash your clothes before continuing with the next leg.

The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable! Just next to the MRT exit and walking distance to 武林夜市 with lots of food and shopping options. It is also not too far from 西湖, you can take a nice 10-15min stroll to reach the lake too! The front desk 小范 and staff are extremely friendly and helpful too! They helped us with directions and helped to book a day tour too! The breakfast spread is impressive as well! Highly recommended to families and friends!

Best experience to stay at city west hotel. The service, breakfast and room is good

Hotel is clean, location is good walking distance to wulin night market and metro is just outside the hotel. Counter staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good as well. Enjoyed our stay. Will definitely choose this hotel again.

The staff were very nice and meticulous. Even though we had checked out and returned to collect our luggages, she noticed my plastic bag of dirty clothes (cos we went to freshen up at a spa) and asked me if I needed a bigger eco bag. Such customer service is hard to come by! I was indeed impressed. Very worth it to stay here as it is close to Metro, has a good buffet spread and the rooms were nice and spacious (there even is a first aid kit in the room!). There is a common area with tv, microwave and other amenities, self service washing machine and dryer. I definitely will revisit if I ever come back to Hangzhou!

Excellent location for travelers, there are direct buses access to West lake and Lingyinsi (bus stop opposite the hotel), and also right in front of metro station. Kids love the Journey to the West theme room and the tidbits provided at pantry area (also with books and board game). The laundry room needs improvement as the machines provided took long time for washing (1 hour) and do the drying (1.5 hour++). It’s really frustrated when all dryer are occupied while washing already done, and have to wait for an hour to wait for dryer available. The TV only works after technician came, but has no signal again after watching for a short while. 

We love everything about the hotel except the bed, too hard for our liking. The service is impeccable, especially 小张 and a lady who helped us on the 1st day but forgot to get her name. The location is also great, walking distance to 西湖 and wuling night market just a stone away.
