Hotel 3 bintang Hanoi Quan Hoan Kiem

came in really late from the airport due to flight delay and the reception was thankfully still around to help us check-in. the room itself is nothing much, decent bed but the toilet is a little dirty and the hot water is not very stable, turning burning hot every time i turn it on.

The hotel is tucked away in an alley, so cars can't drive right up to it. Although there's an elevator, you still have to climb about 5-6 steps to get to the room. The best part is its super close proximity to the cathedral, just a 2-minute walk! In the evenings, the alley fills with people eating, maybe having BBQ? It's lively but not noisy at all.

The location is great; the famous Dong Xuan Market is right outside, and a bar street and night market are just a hundred meters away. Hoan Kiem Lake, the church, and the train street are all within walking distance. The only downside was that we didn't get any more bottled water during our three-day stay. The room was quite new, but I don't know why there were ants, and the local ants crawled very fast! Luckily, I wasn't bitten. A friendly reminder: don't buy fruit from the stalls across from the hotel. They rip you off outrageously! I bought four wax apples and six small tangerines, and they charged me 150,000 VND for weighing them together. I don't know if tangerines were more expensive or wax apples were cheaper. I argued for a long time that I wanted them weighed separately, but they didn't understand, and I paid. It's difficult to communicate abroad, even though I knew I was being overcharged!

Overall, I was very satisfied with everything about this hostel. However, I think extra caution is needed when it comes to some Chinese guests. They seem to have little understanding of basic etiquette - they talked very loudly in the room, made phone calls on speaker, and even left a smell that seemed to come from vaping inside. Their behavior disturbed everyone in the room, yet they didn't seem to realize it at all.

They did not prepare the right type of room first and then asked us to move to a new room for every day, which made our stay very inconvenient. Also the rooms are pretty old looking and not very clean. The only good were the room design and the location.

The hotel is located right in the Old Quarter, super convenient to walk around. The room is clean, comfy and everything works well. The staff very friendly and helpful — they helped me book my trips to Ha Long and Ninh Binh, and also arranged motorbike rental for me. Really appreciate their service, they helped me a lot during my stay. Solid experience, will recommend!

Best location you can find in Old Quarter area- walking distance to the famous Banh Mi 25 and all other places. The host was very helpful and kept our rooms tidy at all times! No lifts- but didnt mind the work out! You can also book tours to Ha Long Bay!

The hotel is very beautiful and nostalgic. I really like the homestay's decoration and arrangement here. The owner and manager are very enthusiastic in supporting me. I will come here again if I have the opportunity to go to Hanoi. Note that the homestay does not have an elevator.

Location is a bit noisy because it is next to the main street by it is a good location if you want to be near the lake.  bathroom is ok. It takes a while for the water to become hot and that there is no divider between the shower and the rest of the bathroom so the floors will be wet. Overall, the staff is nice and friendly room is well cleaned. Good for what you’re paying. 

Very helpful and friendly front desk. The hotel does have all basic amenities like toothpaste, hot water, tea/coffee. For me personally the best and worst at the same time is location. Pro - right at the entry to old quarter center Con - directly In front is a trauma unit of the local hospital and quite busy road - expect noise and ambulances. Sound insulation is weak. In 3 days I haven't had a good night's sleep.
