Recently i had booked my stay with hotel thakur ji, the hotel was nice and close to haridwar railway station. The room was spacious but one thing i didn't like about it was the middle door between the 2 rooms. During early morning at around 04:00 am, someone was knocking from that door and trying to open that door which disturbed my sleep.

I visited Haridwar with my family first time this winter, had advance booked Hotel King online. Overall I have a positive feedback for our stay. I felt Hotel King is a perfect place to stay for a short trip with good budget. It was very much walkable to bus and railway station. Also near to Har Ki Pauri Ghat. Plenty of eating options once you come out of hotel. Hotel management was very cooperative for any help needed. Room was neat and clean. I often prefer to stay up floors, so we stayed at 3rd floor, there was no lift, but we never felt that a challenge as we didn't want to go up/down often.

Hotel staff is courteous, rooms are also neat and clean but the problem was that wash room is too small and uncomfortable. Hotel lacks lift and for elderly guests it is tough to climb.

A very decent hotel for a one night stay over. that is close to railway station. Hotel only opened in January so in good general condition. I paid 1000 rupees for one night it was an extra 500 rupees for air conditioning. The ceiling fan was totally fine with the max temp during the day being less than 30 degrees. Manager was friendly and spoke ok English.
