Hart House Bed & Breakfast

Wow…literally the word we said multiple times throughout our weekend stay. We stumbled upon this gem through an online auction for our local humane society in which the owners graciously donated a weekend getaway as an auction item. We are frequent travelers, but not frequent b&b’rs…this experience made us think we’ve been missing out! The innkeepers are amazing!! Deb and Craig were responsive and attentive, and only around when you wanted them to be. We stayed in the Hart Suite which is absolutely beautiful, spacious, beyond comfortable, and incredibly private. Every little detail was spot on and so appreciated. The food…oh my goodness where to start?!?? We had the wine and cheese package which literally was the best we’ve ever had - creatively prepared, deliciously paired, generously sized, and so delicious! The breakfasts were amazing. We didn’t know what to expect for a three course gourmet breakfast, but wow! The pride they both take in preparation, presentation, and taste was spot on. The nightly fresh baked cookies were such a perfect late night treat! And, the generous snacks - available at all times - were so thoughtful and abundant. We enjoyed the massage package and the convenience of having it without leaving the inn was great! We spent our day exploring a few of the little towns along Lake Michigan, cruising the southern part of M22, and absolutely loved having the Hart House for home base! We will be back!

We have stayed in may B & B's in Michigan and other states and Hart House is one of the best. Beautiful Inn with many amenities including hot tub and patio area. Craig and Deb are some of the best host we have ever met and make sure your stay is most comfortable. We really like the spacious showers and all the in room amenities. Craig and Deb have invested a great amount of detail into making their guests comfortable and lack-for-nothing, including bottled water, soda, snacks and great warm cookies in the evening. Now for the breakfast........the breakfasts we experienced over our 3-day stay were the best we have ever had. The quality, preparation and presentation were outstanding. Craig culinary skill are top shelf. It is impossible to leave hungry! We look forward to returning!

This was my husband’s and my first bed and breakfast stay. The room and private bath were both beautifully updated, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the amenities were thoughtful. The host made accommodations for us to get dressed for a wedding we were attending, even though we were too early for check on. There were thoughtful snacks and access to coffee/tea right outside our room, the patio was relaxing in the evening, amazing fresh made chocolate chip cookies in the evening, and woke up to the smell of the gourmet breakfast being prepared. I would highly recommend Hart House!

Craig and Deb were wonderful innkeepers making our stay even more relaxing. We were here before and liked the upgrades made since our last stay, especially the outdoor jacuzzi. Highly recommend Hart House. You won't be disappointed.

This B&B is exceptional. It is spotlessly clean with beautifully appointed rooms and grounds. The innkeepers Craig and Deb were absolutely wonderful. They pay attention to even the smallest detail. The breakfast was delicious, beautifully presented and nutritious. We highly recommend this accommodation .
