Hotel berhampiran Mt. Takayama, Hida

Hotel ini baru dan bersih. Bilik tidak terlalu besar, tetapi ia luas. Lokasi yang sangat baik, sangat dekat dengan Takayama Sanmachi. Kolam air panas di tingkat atas sangat selesa. Saya akan menginap di sini lagi lain kali. peluang untuk datang ke Takayama!

Muro-San and everyone is very friendly and helpful. They make you feel good and happy. The housekeeper was helpful too. Even though we do not understand what we were trying to say, they bothered to explain and even took out a translator so that we can communicate with better communication. Our needs were fulfilled. They provided amenities like cleansing oil, cleansing foam, face moisturizer, toner, shaving cream and after shaving toner for all their guests

We stayed here for a 2 nights on a Distant Journey (DJ) tour of Japan. Arrived around 5pm by coach from Mt Fuji area. Check in was well organised but it was after 6pm before our luggage arrived in our room on 8th floor. We were meant to meet our TM and guide between 7 and 7.30 for advice on where to have dinner. Map in hand we turned right outside hotel and proceeded into town. Recommended restaurants were very difficult to find. Any we did find, including those not mentioned, were either fully reserved or full or, as time passed towards 8pm, were closing. We headed back to the hotel to find buffet option was £45 or set Japanese meal ¥8,300 (£53). Many of us went to a 711 across the road from hotel and bought ready meals, which they heated for us in microwave, beer or wine and we retreated to our rooms. The street lighting is poor so navigation from a map was difficult. Breakfast was like school dinners but passable. Bar closes at 7pm!!! If you are reading this and are on a JD tour get to town early to stand a chance of eating out. A group did find a restaurant very close by hotel before the bridge on opposite side of road to 711 but the name unrecognisable as in Japanese, photo attached.

Extremely well located if you want to be right next to the train station and bus station - my room overlooked the tracks. Provision of washing machine and dryer is a superb bonus inroom as are the full cooking facilities. The hotel intelligently provides basics such as oil, salt, coffee, tea and even a couple of detergent sachets for the washing. Strangelt though, no knives or other cutting implements of any kind. A tip if you intent to cook. The Family Mart opposite is basic, but there is a huge supermarket under the tracks and just beyond MacDonalds where you can get international food as well as Japanese. Slightly dreary corridors and a reception crowded with people waiting for their room to become available. But on the plus side they let me into my room early as I was unwell at the time.

I was quite disappointed by the services of this hotel. It should mention it’s a self-help apartment instead of call itself a hotel so that customers’s expectations won’t be mismatched. No hotel service provided here like no towel changing, no room tidying up service, etc. my room is a tatami room, I have to set up 4 tatami beds all by myself. when I tried to book for breakfast, the staff told me it’s full, when I tried to book the carpark, staff giving unclear information and made me failed to book upon my arrival. I arrived earlier to book for carpark, the staff said the reservation for carpark will be opened at 3pm. When I arrived at 5pm, the carpark is full. Then I asked if I could book the carpark for tomorrow, the staff said cannot book now, I asked when is the carpark slot opened for reserve, the receptionist said 10am. Really confusing ……. Staff can’t communicate in English but they will use the translation machine. Pros side is the Room is spacious but with if you are looking for hotel it’s not, better call it a self help apartment

It's my fault for not upgrading to a superior room because the standard rooms are very small. That said, it was well designed and used every available bit of space. The small double bed was pushed against the wall so not ideal for 2 people. Luckily the corridor/space beside the bathroom was quite wide so I was just able to open my large suitcase. There was a nice light duvet on the bed and hard/seed pillows. The bathroom was compact but allowed for a deepish bath. The air conditioning was powerful. There was a TV but there were no English tv channels. There was a small armchair to sit in and a table, a desk/dressing table, a stool and various ledges to put stuff on. There was no in room safe. The breakfast was ok. Self service with cereal and rolls as well as a lot of Japanese choices. My room was on the ground floor and there was parking outside. The hotel provided a shuttle to get to the town centre which was convenient but allow enough time to find the bus stop for the return. I very nearly missed it because I couldn't make sense of the map provided (you had to go inside the train station and up and over the railway tracks to get to the right bus stop!). It was perfectly adequate for one night but if I was to return I'd chose a hotel in the centre of town so that restaurants and shopping/sightseeing is easier to get to.

Had a wonderful stay at a hotel in Takayama. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. The central location allowed easy exploration of Takayama's attractions. Overall, a great experience and would gladly return for another visit.

Hotel is in a very good location being very near to the Old Town where the attractions and restaurants are. However there is limited parking space, and we had to park in a public car park 100m away. Staff were friendly, but communication was a little difficult as they were not very conversant in English. Overall nice hotel.

Country Hotel Takayama is the perfect home away from home in Takayama, Gifu Japan.This hotel is located right across the Nohi Bus Terminal which is right beside to Takayama Train Station. When you get off from the bus, you will immediately see the building. Aside from their perfect location, this hotel also has a KONBINI (are Japanese convenience stores) Family Mart at the ground floor, open 24 hours. Morning markets, Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, Old Town Street, Hida Kokubunji Temple and Nakabashi bridge are a few tourist location you can easily access by walking (10-15 minutes) from the hotel. I was here last February 24 to 26, 2020. The room is quite spacious for me, got a single room type but I think it can accommodate 2 people in it. I was able to booked it online through Agoda.com for Php 4,024.78, not bad! It has complete basic amenities you can find in a room including a comfy sleeping robe. Room is super clean and smells so good. Considering I wrongly booked the smoking type room. The only downside I had about the room was that the heater was broken. It was so hot inside, thanked God it was winter time so I just slightly opened my window. So cold breeze from the outside can get in. Overall, Country Hotel Takayama is HIGHLY RECOMMEND aside from their perfect location. Staff are very good, speaks English and really helpful and accommodating. Their Manager helped me booked a taxi who is going to picked me up at the highway on my route to Gujo Hachiman. Because taxis in Gujo Hachiman are booked a day before your arrival and they don’t speak English at all. And If you’re a Filipino, you are most likely going to bumped into one of our kababayan who is working on this hotel. So far, she’s the only Pinoy here and she speaks Bisaya, from Davao City. Superbe hôtel, complètement neuf bonne taille de chambres , à côté de la gare, mais, pas de bruit et pas loin de quartiers traditionnels de la ville. Onsen à l'intérieur, possibilité de le réserver pour 45mn. Grande découverte, tout confort, cet hôtel à plein de petits détails pour un excellent séjour et bien entendu son personnel et toujours aux petits soins avec nous, d'une énorme gentillesse .
