Boutique hotel. Good location. Possible to walk along the beach to Turtle Beach to see sea turtles in their natural habitat. Service excellent by the manager and his team. Beautiful rooms. dinner and breakfast were very tasty - but facility needs maintenance. No hot water in the morning. AC stopped working in the middle of the night so got hot and stuffy. Many mosquitoes so bed should have needed nets. Outside lamps not working. Pillows and blankets smell mold. Can’t recommend until upgrades and maintenance performed.

My regret is that I didn't stay here more nights. The service was excellent. The beach and pool were so beautiful. There is a good Italian pizza restaurant close by if you're craving something other than local food.

We stayed here with a couple of friends and Sunil was very welcoming and all his staff very attentive. The rooms were clean, the decor was amazing, the showers were exceptionally good and powerful and the pool was a dream. Being able to get on the beach at the bottom of the garden was amazing and the outside furniture to rest was very comfortable. The chef produced some delicious, highly presented food, there was no need to go elsewhere. We all loved our 2 night stay and everything was made perfect by Sunil and his staff. I would highly recommend going to this villa.

The property is just beautiful! Done in the open tropical villa style, with well appointed spacious rooms, beautiful decor, a gorgeous tiled pool and easy beach access, it was a treat for the eyes. There was a beautiful courtyard as well, with the concept of a controlled tropical jungle garden. Special word of appreciation to Mr Sunil and his helpful, attentive staff. They make the best Sri Lankan milk tea! ☺️ All the food we ordered was fabulous, they accommodated all our requests (extra cups of tea during the day!) and went above and beyond to be helpful and attentive. We really appreciated the peace, calm and quiet as well as the safety offered for a group of female travellers! Would fully recommend it and will definitely be returning!

Stayed only 1 night after a long flight. The manager Sunis and his staff try to take care of you to the maximum. Dinner was delicious and breakfast very extensive and as an extra pancakes for our children. Furthermore, the small-scale accommodation has a nice swimming pool and you walk through a private gate to the beach. Very special and also a relaxing place to stay for a few nights. Only downside was that in one room the air conditioning did not cool enough, luckily there was also a ceiling fan.

An absolute "Gem" located in the South of Sri Lanka, this is a "MUST STAY AT" Boutique Villa in Hikkaduwa. The room we stayed in (Cinnamon) was fabulous and the ensuite with it's open bathroom made our stay a really comfortable one. The staff consisting of Manager Sunil, Chef Chaminda, Kasun who served us our Breakfast with a smile every morning and Ambrose who was always there to check on our welfare were amazing! The entire team at Villa Saffron really understands what hospitality is and means and for that we give them "10 out of 10"!

Superb service in a stunning setting. Chef prepared all delicious meals . Very comfortable stay and wonderful to swim in the warm sea and pool. All staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Bliss!

Terrible place. Rude manager. Cannot cater for allergies. Had to leave early as the chef continued to serve food we did not agree to. Did not refund for us having to leave early. The rooms were dirty and dated. Need to improve customer service and listen to feedback

The atmosphere at Villa Saffron was absolutely luxurious and amazing. Situated right on the Hikkaduwa beach the boutique villa was gorgeously furnished and decorated and very comfortable. Sunil, Chaminda and the staff were so amazing and accommodating during our stay. The food was out of this world and regardless of the cuisine every dish was so made perfectly and tasted so good! Overall staying at Villa Saffron was fantastic and such a good holiday!
