Hotel berhampiran Miyake Dai 2 Park, Hiroshima

Felt welcomed by the hotel staff, shared rooms have properly divided beds. Fully equiped with basic amenities such as shampoo, body gel, towels, lockers... The lounge was full of books to read (tourism books, novels, manga...) and is tastefully decorated. Family-friendly place. Close to the local train line that travels to Miyajimaguchi harbour (Ferry to the island) in barely 6 minutes. Great experience overall.

Good points: 1. Location is amazing since it’s right on the island and everything is within walking distance. 2. We had breakfast and supper included in the stay. Food was varied and plentiful for most palates. Plenty of fruit and veg too. 3. Staff for 98% of the time was great. Language barriers are expected. Google translate is a perfect alternative to the translation issue. The front desk staff were awesome and was extremely helpful. 4. Room is spacious for a traditional Japanese hotel. We had our own onsen which was delightful. The beds were mostly comfortable and we had two full mattresses pushed together creating a massive king! 5. Once you enter the hotel you must take off your shoes and the hotel provides house slippers which generally fit most people. The lobby has shoe cubbies for your shoes. They do not lock, but Japan has very little petty theft so you don’t need to fret over potential thievery. Negative points: 1. This is of no fault of the hotel, rather it’s a Google maps problem. Be aware Google maps will basically have you climb the mountain and drag your suitcase through a dirt path. Instead put in the Miyajima post office and with the water to your right, turn up to the small road with the post office to your back. Keep going straight for about 2.5 city blocks and you’ll walk right into the hotel. Much easier than the 40 minute hike we took. 2. Restaurant staff on the whole were great. Only issue was this morning when we went to breakfast this morning and tried to sit in our usual table, the staff tried to sit us with some other people. I asked if we could sit at a different table and the individual said no and walked away. We didn’t know these people they tried to sit us with. However, they were tourists like us. I was frustrated because the staff member just walked away from us when I was still speaking to him. Very rude! 3. The toilet room smelled really bad. It was a combination of mold and chemicals.

女子旅で、一泊させて頂きました。 お部屋もとても綺麗だし、接客対応もとても良かったです。 朝夕食は、ハーフバイキングでしだが 夜食には、ステーキ&海鮮の鉄板焼きが付いていて とても美味しかったです。 お風呂上がりに、ビールやソフトドリンク アイスなどが無料で頂けるのも嬉しいし、浴衣の無料貸し出しも 最高でした。 ただ、 一つだけ言わせていただくとしたら 駅→ホテルの無料送迎が 19:00以降が無くて、ナイトクルーズをした後にホテルに向かいましたが、タクシーも全くいなくて 歩いてホテルに向かうしかなくて、かなり疲れました。 もう少し遅くまで、無料送迎があったら嬉しいです。

急遽広島行きを決めて、どうせだったら宮島の方に泊まろうと思ってあまり調べずここに決めました。 結論から言うと、車で来ている方、バックパッカーでとにかく安く宿に泊まりたい方以外にはおすすめしません。 良かった点: ・部屋が綺麗でスーツケースを開けるのに充分なスペースがある ・水回りがとても綺麗 ・大浴場がある ・バストイレ別、シャンプー、トリートメント、ボディーソープ、ドライヤー有 ・値段 悪かった点: ・オーシャンビュールーム5900円で予約したところ、この部屋は別館だから車で来ていないなら別館まで歩いて行けと言われる→とんでもない坂道でキャリーケースを持っての移動は無謀 ・本館の部屋はないのかと聞くと空きはあるが追加で300円かかると言われた(疲れていたので諦めて払いました) ・2階の部屋までの移動は階段のみ ・駅からの道はあまり舗装されておらずキャリーケースを持っていると確実に倍以上の時間がかかる ・Trip.comでは14:00-チェックインとなっているが、14:30頃に行くとチェックインは15:00-だと迷惑そうにされる

元地元民からすると「厚生年金会館」で泊まれたの？って感じでホールの イメージが強いが、現在はパックツアーで安い料金帯の宿って感じです。 平和公園には近いのですが、場所が中途半端で市電も通ってなく不便という 先入観で観光客には人気がないのか、とにかくツアーでは安いです。 しかし、市電の路線に挟まれた住宅地に向かう主要通りなので、バスが非常に 頻繁に走っており夜は早じまいですが、ほぼ時刻表なしで乗ることができます。 ホテル前に「加古町」という停留所（平和公園の次）で赤バス（広島バス） の24号線、吉島線が（広島駅～八丁堀～紙屋町~平和公園）と主要地を 通る路線なので市電に劣らず利用価値があると思います。 竣工はかなり古いはずですが、古く見えず館内も比較的きれいですし 部屋もリノベーションされて広くて快適だと思います。 中心部にあるホテルよりコストパフォーマンスに優れ良いと思いますが あくまでもビジネスホテルなのでアメニティ等は少なめで壁など防音対策は 貧弱な気がします。当日修学旅行の小学生が下のフロアを占拠してましたが 走り回る音がかなり響いてましたようでホテル名のごとく日によっては 学生団体も多いのでそのあたりはご注意ください。

The bedlinen is super soft to sleep on. Nice river views too right in front of my room. Love the location too. Very close to all the attraction I needed to go. We love this hotel very much. Thumb up for this hotel.

Situated only a couple of minutes walk from Hondori shopping street and about 10 minutes walk, depending on if you’re a snail pace walker or someone who walks as fast as an angry mother who’s about to complain to the school board about something, from the Peace Memorial Park lies Santiago Guest House. A hostel that is a bit of a pain to find with it only being sign posted by those hanging signs attached to high rise buildings that are literally everywhere in Japan. With said buildings hosting separate businesses on each floor, it may stress you out finding it but upon entry the stress will go bye bye from its general aesthetically pleasing outlook. A modern and polished looked hostel who’s reception lies right next the common room and kitchen area, giving everyone in there a look at the fresh meat coming in. The common area and reception give a friendly vibe out from the on set with bean bags, couches, two TVs (one with a PlayStation 3) and shelves holding games and cuddly toys for you to spoon like they’re your partner whilst watching a rom com on Netflix. Generally the 6th floor where there is one dorm room and the kitchen and common area is quality. The kitchen is a little small in size but it does the job plus you’re in Japan where bento boxes are a way of life. Plus you can always just jaunt to the local supermarket- Yours- between 8:15 – 8:40pm where the bento boxes, salad and sushi goes half price, which the foreign helpers for free accommodation do pretty much every night. PROS: Unbeatable central location in Hiroshima with large, clean rooms and great views of the city. The rooms were reasonably priced. CONS: This hotel is extremely dated and ultimately this impacted on the comfort of our stay - neither of us slept well on any night due to very old bed/pillows. They were also strict about their 15.00 check in time (seemingly regardless of whether our room was ready or not). This led to unnecessary queues from 15.00 onwards. Overall, would book elsewhere if staying again for more than 1 night in Hiroshima.

The location is great, very central and close to the train station. The view is stubning over the river. Breakfast is good. Overall is a great place
