Ulasan Beachfront Hotel Hokitika

Room was dusty but the bed was alright. Spacious place and ample walk way.

we had an awesome stay. nice and clean accomodation with beach front.

Booked two rooms with one room having a broken shower and old kettles. It was an okay stay. The location made up for it since we were right next to the shopping ***** and restaurants, as well as a very short walk from the beach.

Nice location, all money is valued to its location. The room had no air conditioning, room was generally clean, bathroom like the showering place was just ok, the room had a weird smell (like something left wet for a long time). The fan in the room was dusty. The fan in the bathroom takes a while to be silence as it’s attached to the light switch, cant even being bothered turning on the bathroom light during the night. The breakfast buffet was ok… coffee are from the machine, didn’t like it. Scrambled egg was almost like smashed eggs, bacon was hard to cut.

Went during winter. We got a studio room facing the road. Only a small wall heater, that is not suffice to warm the room. Bed does not come with heater. Uncomfortable sleep due to cold. Check in was fast, walking distance to shops and eateries. Okay for a nights stays. Ample parking.

We just stayed two nights but felt comfortable. Private parking and a liquor shop in the opposite with 5% discount for hotel guests.

Absolutely gorgeous location right on the beach, restaurant was fantastic, good quality food at a great price, and just over the road from a supermarket for all your daily needs!

I liked the spacious room with outdoor area and the great location.

No clear direction on how to access the room

My room located on 2nd floor but the facility does not equip an elevator on the side of wing my room was. Poor soundproofing. Other than that, the room is a great value to my money.

Great location facing the beach. The best hotel you could find in Hokitika.

Great place loved it..short stay

The hotel has a great location in Hokitika near the beach and has ample parking spots. We felt this was the perfect stop as we enjoyed the scenic drives between Queenstown and Christchurch. The hotel is nearby many of the popular eateries and shops in Hokitika and it is a nice walk along the seawall/beach to see some of the crazy waves and driftwood sculptures including the Hokitika sign. We lucked out and got to the hotel during the Matariki celebrations in town so it was a bit tricky finding out way to the hotel because we couldn't go down the main street. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. The room was great, clean and very quiet. The room had a comfy bed, blackout curtains, a refrigerator/tea/coffee spot, an open closet and a small desk. The bathroom was very clean and I was happy with the large shower stall that did not leak. We tried the Ocean View restaurant in the morning and would recommend not booking with breakfast at this time. The restaurant needs some improvement to the cooking but has very friendly service. We had a great night's rest at this hotel and Hokitika is the perfect base for exploring the area including the gorge, treetop walk and the lake area. It is seemingly surrounded by beautiful scenery and we really enjoyed our stay.
