We stayed in a very comfortable hotel room located on the ground floor. The room is very light n breezy and we could park our car outside our room which made it very easy to load and unload our baggage. It was also an easy walk out to the beach which is across the road. Opposite the hotel is a supermarket which is convenient if you need anything. It's also an easy walk to eateries

The motel is tucked away in a residential area away from all the others on the main drag (which is why we chose it), and it turned out to be a gem. Very clean, well-maintained, and well-equipped, it proved very comfortable for the two nights we stayed here. Our room had a spa bath which we didn't have the chance to use, but we appreciated the extra space in the bathroom! The staff were welcoming and cheerful, and the guest laundry was put to good use. We would be very happy to stay here again if our travels bring us back to Hokitika (which we have now learned how to pronounce properly!)

We stayed at the Fitzherbert Court Motel for two nights on our way down the West Coast. Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and fresh and serviced each day. Our bed was comfy too. We had everything we needed and were able to cook a simple meal. Parking was convenient with good turning space. The motel is situated very close to supermarkets, eateries and shops in Hokitika. Reception had information on local walks and activities. We found this motel met all our needs. Thank you !

This is a clean and comfortable motel within walking distance of everything in Hokitika including the local pool which was excellent. Our 2 bedroom room had a separate bedroom but that meant there was a large bed in the living room area which we could have done without. There is a separate laundry area but you do have to pay to use it.

I have really enjoyed my lengthy stays the owners are fantastic and the staff are amazing they go above and beyond to accomodate your needs. Have found the rooms are lovely and clean. We chose this place because we could bring our dog. I managed to book the two bedroom stand alone cottages, this had its own grass area and a great balcony. On arrive the staff were super helpful and the accomodation unit was very tidy and had every thing we needed. We stayed for three nights and was pleasantly surprised that they can everyday to empty the rubbish, clean the kitchen (including our dishes) and tidy the bathroom. The kids used the pool everyday, it's not flash but cooled the kids down and kept them entertained for a good amount of time, plus it's fully fenced so the dog could come and have a snif and roam. We went to use the playground and unfortunately this area could use a bit of an update as most of the equipment was old and worn. But the kids didn't seem to mind as Hokitika has plenty of awesome playgrounds. With the beach being just over the road it was ideal and the centre of town was only a 10min walk away. I would recommend if you have pets, and will happily stay again.

從基督城到Greymouth這段的自駕，一直開到很晚，又去了附近駕車1小時的Pancake rock，west piont, 看了下住宿這間比較符合我們的要求，於是決定再多開一段路去Hokkitika，到酒店的時候已經11點多，電話給工作人員説把鑰匙直接放在房間裏，這是一個家庭套房，有2個房間，因為訂的一室一廳，所以另外一個雙床房間就沒使用。 Hokkitika有個Glow warm的點，因為到的太晚就沒有去。 房間客廳寬敞，可以連APP投屏，餐桌上無線充電器，衞生間比較大，床又意外的很乾凈舒適，早上起來看着外面的太陽，窗外是當地居民的🏠，感覺好像就住在小鎮上，獨特美好的回憶。大早上出門大家都自行把🔑放在Office的桌子，總體來説印象很好。推薦！！

I have had the pleasure of staying here two years in a row for three weeks at a time. I have really enjoyed my lengthy stays the owners are fantastic and the staff are amazing they go above and beyond to accomodate your needs. Have found the rooms are lovely and clean. The room is very light n breezy and we could park our car outside our room which made it very easy to load and unload our baggage. It was also an easy walk out to the beach which is across the road. Opposite the hotel is a supermarket which is convenient if you need anything. It's also an easy walk to eateries

從基督城到Greymouth這段的自駕，一直開到很晚，又去了附近駕車1小時的Pancake rock，west piont, 看了下住宿這間比較符合我們的要求，於是決定再多開一段路去Hokkitika，到酒店的時候已經11點多，電話給工作人員説把鑰匙直接放在房間裏，這是一個家庭套房，有2個房間，因為訂的一室一廳，所以另外一個雙床房間就沒使用。 Hokkitika有個Glow warm的點，因為到的太晚就沒有去。 房間客廳寬敞，可以連APP投屏，餐桌上無線充電器，衞生間比較大，床又意外的很乾凈舒適，早上起來看着外面的太陽，窗外是當地居民的🏠，感覺好像就住在小鎮上，獨特美好的回憶。大早上出門大家都自行把🔑放在Office的桌子，總體來説印象很好。推薦！！

We chose this place because we could bring our dog. I managed to book the two bedroom stand alone cottages, this had its own grass area and a great balcony. On arrive the staff were super helpful and the accomodation unit was very tidy and had every thing we needed. We stayed for three nights and was pleasantly surprised that they can everyday to empty the rubbish, clean the kitchen (including our dishes) and tidy the bathroom. The kids used the pool everyday, it's not flash but cooled the kids down and kept them entertained for a good amount of time, plus it's fully fenced so the dog could come and have a snif and roam. We went to use the playground and unfortunately this area could use a bit of an update as most of the equipment was old and worn. But the kids didn't seem to mind as Hokitika has plenty of awesome playgrounds. With the beach being just over the road it was ideal and the centre of town was only a 10min walk away. I would recommend if you have pets, and will happily stay again.

I picked this place because of the alpacas. And they were so cute. I also wanted a beach and Shining Star was on the beachfront. I had been warned about the wild West Coast sea but there were kids boogie-boarding in t he water. I had a lovely long beach walk. Shining Star is also just off the main highway, a hop, skip and jump from Hokitika, and this was important for me. I liked having a log cabin. It was adjoined with one other. There was a nice front deck to sit on. The cabin was an suite/kitchen. It faced the alpacas' paddock, and was near the entrance. The camper vans etc were in a different part of the complex. I enjoyed my overnight stay and will maybe come back for a longer booking. The bed was comfortable, the tv worked. The en suite (no bath, but good-working shower) might be a bit small for some people but I didn't mind at all.

We stayed at the Fitzherbert Court Motel for two nights on our way down the West Coast. Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and fresh and serviced each day. Our bed was comfy too. We had everything we needed and were able to cook a simple meal. Parking was convenient with good turning space. The motel is situated very close to supermarkets, eateries and shops in Hokitika. Reception had information on local walks and activities. We found this motel met all our needs. Thank you !

The motel is tucked away in a residential area away from all the others on the main drag (which is why we chose it), and it turned out to be a gem. Very clean, well-maintained, and well-equipped, it proved very comfortable for the two nights we stayed here. Our room had a spa bath which we didn't have the chance to use, but we appreciated the extra space in the bathroom! The staff were welcoming and cheerful, and the guest laundry was put to good use. We would be very happy to stay here again if our travels bring us back to Hokitika (which we have now learned how to pronounce properly!)
