1) extra hidden fees 2) check in at 7 pm for some rooms so you will be forced to upgrade for another room that's available for early check in as they said. I checked in at 3 pm and they played the upgrade game on me as i was tired and couldn't wait for 7 pm 3) no shampoo, no shower gel, no towels, no drinking water, no hairdryer, no boiler 4) no hot water when you need to shower

I used to share rooms with Indians and Indonesians, but this time I wanted to stay alone. The owner wasn't clear that the 176 room had no private bathroom. A black guy charged me 200, then made me pay an extra 100. When I lost my room key, they demanded another 200 for a taxi fare. The room only had two beds and a sink, toilet, showerhead, and water heater, but no private bath. The hot water switch was outside and had limited hours. Also, check-in was after 7 PM, and check-out before 9 AM. I barely slept all night. Oh well, it's Chungking Mansions, so it's an experience, I guess. But I'm definitely leaving a bad review. The owner is an old man who'll try to squeeze money out of you at every chance. I'm out of here!

The most terrible hostel ever. From reception to Room. Be aware to those who will book a room specially when you get a dormitory type. The old guy from the reception will scam you. He will tell you to “ you want a room with only 6 people inside and have a toilet” give me 50HKD. if not your room supposed to be with 20 people. Don’t fall for that trick. He is doing that to every person who book mixed room.

Folks, this place is a rip-off. They look down on renters and arbitrarily hike up prices. They charged an extra 300 RMB just to change a name! They're barbaric, unreasonable, and have hidden fees and inflated prices. Their attitude is terrible, and when I paid my deposit in RMB, they refunded me in HKD!

This is very Bad Hotel, even the staff is really very bad, they just take money and then treat unprofessionally, until they never that payment they respect you after getting payment they changed their behavior , in simple words dont book this hotel,

Really bad experience, like a nightmare. This is the first time I encounter a hostel hotel that the toilet need to share with other.And time of check in so late and no heater when you take shower and it's winter. Really bad bad experience

the floor was easily founded (take the A lift at Chungking Mansion). honestly it’s not so bad for one or two nights, the room & bathroom are quite clean, the hostel room is just old & cramped like a typical HK cage home. both waiters, the young guy & the uncle are very helpful & friendly. you can pay the deposit, additional service & tax with HKD cash only

It’s pretty gross but I didn’t see any cockroaches. Bed is not long enough for someone who is 6feet. The door couldn’t be locked but also not closed, so the door was open at all times. The younger guy working there was very nice, the older guy was a bit grumpy. It smells bad too. Location was great.

This is the worst place we’ve ever booked. The old man behaved terribly and his attitude traumatized us. We deeply regret booking this place. The room was too small and had no ventilation or windows. The air conditioner was filthy. The linens were itchy and smelled foul; the pillows smelled as if they had never been washed — I almost vomited when I smelled them. We felt so itchy, but we arrived at the hostel at 1:00 a.m. and had no choice but to stay. One of the worst things that happened was when the old man cursed at us and shouted after I asked an important question about the room. We felt unsafe because of the owner’s hostile behavior. He also charged us an extra HKD 150 in addition to the HKD 100 deposit, even though we had already paid online by credit card. We felt like we were scammed. Additionally, the owner acted like a manipulator and made us feel as if we were the problem. He tried to gaslight us and behaved in a narcissistic, it dismissive way — he would not accept side comments, became angry whenever we asked questions, and refused to listen. His hostile, uncooperative behavior made us feel intimidated and unsafe. We emailed Trip.com about this matter and requested a refund since we used only one night of a five-night stay. Unfortunately, they could not help because of their terms and conditions. However, I believe this is an exceptional case: the property did not provide the amenities listed, and they gave us a completely different room from the one we booked. Please, Trip.com, do something about this matter. We trust your business, but it seems you are not protecting customers from this kind of shady behavior. Thank you.

Booked the room but we are trasferred to another block. maybe the same owner. we were advised to upgrade room and paid more. 100hkd for the deposit. it will be given though when check out. check in at 7pm. check out at 9am.

The location is good. Closer to shopping malls, restaurants and other tourist attractions.

Very very bad First the hotel is not clean at all very dirty and there is a lot of insects Second they asked more money in Check in 200+38 Third the rooms are not like pictures The hotel is so bad i suggest u to find another one because i rented at the same price good ones The service is so bad they were talking and laughing at as and we asked for refund they didn’t want Very very very bad
