I probably wouldn’t stay here again, the hotel is old and the price for much more modern and luxurious accommodations are similar if not cheaper elsewhere. Great view from the room though even though it was only on the 5th floor.

The location is amazing! Love it. Service is pretty bad. Sent an email to them 2 days prior my stay. Till the end of my 6 days stay, there is no reply. I was seeking for help for my Macau travel. The lady at the concierge was impatient and replied “Best not to go via that route if you haven’t purchased the ticket” and went to assist another customer. So if you are an experienced traveller in HK and doesn’t not need any direction, this is still a good location.
HK has a new rule, they will not replenished any shower gel & amenities etc. I stayed there for 6 days with a friend. I have to bathe with shampoo as there is no shower gel left (it was less filled) on the last day and I am unable to open the lid to mix with water. So I will recommend only if you stay for less than 6 days.
I didn’t read the fine prints. We have to pay extra to use the gym. So if gym is a must, do consider other hotels available. It is HKD $80 per pax.

Booked a quadruple room for a family of four and I would say it’s value for money for the amount we paid, which included a nice breakfast. Location is convenient, helped by the regular free shuttle buses which go to either Hong Kong station or to Causeway Bay. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean with the daily housekeeping. Breakfast is really busy during peak hours but the staff are extremely patient and friendly to ensure all guests have an enjoyable meal. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends or even to fellow Singaporeans, because we love good vale hotel deals!

Nice and clean room with good amenities. Bed was slightly short but otherwise, the room was great - good thermostat, table, bed, bathroom.
Only wish I could’ve used HDMI on the TV

This hotel is the usual choice for a large number of business travelers.

This hotel is part of the Empire chain, situated just beside another hotel from the same chain. It feels like a typical 4-5 star hotel, which is super. The bed came with soft and hard pillows, the bed was super comfortable, the toilet was big and clean. Honestly, no qualms about the room and physical aspects of the hotel.
The stay also came with a free afternoon tea which was a buffet, which is really nice, and also lounge access on the 30th floor (both of which are in the sister hotel next door).
What I found kind of annoying though was that despite the free amenities above, the hotel does not give any bottled water nor shaving kits or any amenities in the name of going green. I mean sure, I’m an advocate for going green, but surely everyone still needs to drink water, no? Maybe provide a reusable bottle and a water dispenser somewhere, that might be better than not providing any water at all. To their credit though, they do have a vending machine on the ground floor that serves drinks and amenities at a price.

Top features of the hotel include Wi-Fi in public areas, newspapers, safety deposit boxes, a 24-hour front desk, and a shared lounge/TV area. An in-room safe, Internet access, desk, and hair dryer are just some of the facilities that can be found throughout the property. Good condition and services
Very clean and comfortable and high efficient for special orders
Easy transportation for MTR, tunnel bus,
So many Shopping centres and food centers
All things are supplied in the room so enough.
But there have only 4 clothes hangers are not enough for winter use, or hanging clothes after washing clothes.
Times up must be left and locked the door is not a good service.
Long queue for check in. One receptionist is not enough, and low efficiency.

PPengguna TetamuI am a loyal Royal Plaza Hkg guest and i have stayed more than 10 times over the years. Love the spacious room, perfect for our family of 4.
This trip , our family went to Shenzhen first before Hong Kong and was disappointed to find out that Royal Plaza Hkg cannot match the comfort level of a 4* hotel we stayed in Shenzhen for 2/3 of the price.
1. The bathroom is dated and shower water pressure is super low. Oh, and the hair dryer …. i think it is product of the 80s. (My last hotel provides dyson)
2. the free shuttle service to tsim sar zui no longer available.
3. bed and pillows were comfortable, just the warm room (though i have adjusted to the lowest temperature possible) marred the experience of a good night sleep (for me). It was fine during the day, it warmer n stuffier during the wee hours. Like it or not, definitely a change of temperature before and after sleep.
EEdiGThe hotel positions itself as a 4-star establishment, but it falls short of that mark. Here's a breakdown of my experience:
Location: The location is excellent, if you don't mind a steep uphill walk. However, the entire island is built on different levels, which isn't a negative but rather a positive – a daily workout! There's a bus stop right by the hotel, making it easy to reach the metro instead of walking up and down, straining your leg muscles. Next door is a botanical and zoological garden where you can take a stroll. By the way, entry is free. A 10-minute walk down the hill leads to the cable car ”tram” stop for a trip to Victoria Peak.
Check-in: Check-in was fast, but a USD 300 deposit is required, which isn't mentioned on either the trip.com website or the hotel's website. If you need an adapter for your electronic devices, ask for one right away – the receptionist won't offer it.
Room: The room is relatively clean, though I did find some hair in the kitchen and on the bedding. For Hong Kong, the room is spacious, but there's nowhere to store a suitcase. You can set the temperature on the air conditioner, but it doesn't work. It only blows cold air, making the room humid.
Kitchen: The kitchen is minimally equipped, but it's sufficient. However, upon check-in, they warn you that the stove can only be used for reheating food, not cooking, as the fire alarm system is very sensitive and might activate the siren due to hot steam. You must turn on the exhaust fan to full power and the air conditioner to avoid triggering the alarm. Why bother having a kitchen at all?
Bathroom: The same situation as with the kitchen – you need to close the door and turn on the air conditioner at full power while showering to avoid the fire alarm being triggered by steam from the bathroom. The shower hose started leaking on the second day of my stay. It was replaced with a new one, which also leaked. When the technician replaced the hose, did he check if the equipment was working properly? I doubt it.
Breakfast: Breakfast is only served from a menu, which is quite limited. It's delicious, but not diverse. Is this the service you'd expect from a 4-star hotel? The breakfast organization is chaotic – staff running around and clanging dishes. Two slow coffee machines and one toaster keep guests waiting in line. By the way, there are plastic mugs for tea and coffee. The only fruit options are two types of apples – red and green.
Service: The service is polite, but I'd say it's ”on demand.” You need to ask for shampoo, shower gel, and dishwashing liquid to be refilled. The housekeeping, for some reason, doesn't notice the need to replenish hygiene products in the bathroom and kitchen.
Environmentalism: As in all of Hong Kong, they no longer provide water in plastic bottles. That's good, but come up with an alternative so guests don't have to go to the store for water. In my opinion, this environmental concern is simply an opportunity to reduce service costs while maintaining high accommodation prices. Speaking of breakfast again, the jam and butter are provided in small plastic containers, just like on airplanes. Is this really about caring for the environment?
Conclusion: Overall, it's a good choice if you're not bothered by the minor service inconsistencies and if you don't have high expectations for a 4-star hotel. If you're visiting Hong Kong, I'd recommend Two MacDonell Road.

CCilladbI recently stayed at Harbour Plaza North Point and had a generally pleasant experience.
The breakfast was a highlight of my stay. There were plenty of options to choose from, and everything tasted fresh. It was a great way to start the day.
The hotel itself was clean and had a lovely aroma throughout. It's evident that the staff takes pride in maintaining the space, which contributed to a welcoming atmosphere.
My room was quite spacious, allowing for comfortable movement. However, I found the bed to be a bit too hard for my liking, which affected my sleep quality.
The staff was incredibly helpful and responsive. When I requested extra pillows, they were delivered promptly. Additionally, I appreciated having access to an iron and ironing board, which made getting ready for my events much easier.
Overall, Harbour Plaza North Point provided a solid experience with good amenities and attentive service. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable stay!
TThanawanThe hotel staff is very nice. Hotel is clean and provide a large room compared to other hotels near the city. The hotel has a shuttle bus service btw hotel and MTR. However, no survice after 8:00pm. Overall, We're happy during our stay here. Than you
FFelipe KondoService is great, check-in is smooth (either passport copy or 500HKD deposit), no lift available therefore be careful before booking if you have much luggage. Despite these small setbacks, service is super attentive and with great English, the room is super clean and offers a cozy and quiet retreat right in the middle of Wanchai. Much recommended for either long-stays or short-crash. Beware, like every HK room, it is small, but cleanliness and coziness are worth it.
PS: The table is too small for working so use a café in case a laptop is required.
NN.SanchezThis is where we celebrated our 3rd year anniversary. Dorsett hotel in HK is one of a kind! OVERALL THIS PLACE IS SO GOOOOOOD!
1) UNLIMITED CLEAN DRINKING WATER - I really love their thoughtfulness and their Go Green project where they offer free water refills. We are tourists and It's my 5th time to visit HK. This is the 1st time I've been to a hotel that offers unlimited free water refill so you do not need to purchase bottles everytime.
2) MTR IS KINDA FAR BUT THERE ARE NEARBY BUS STOPS - This only works off hours. The hotel is about 10-15min walk to the nearest MTR. Then the nearest bus stop is 5mins away. But this is not a problem if you are to leave within 8am to 7pm cause they have free shuttle.
3) THE ROOM IS HUGE! Way better than the photos! See photos I attached. There's only two of us but I guess this would fit our entire family
4) PEOPLE ARE FRIENDLY - we got there at around 8am and our check in is 2pm. they let us leave our luggage so we can go around while waiting for the check in time
IIsa MilianA classical Hotel in Hong Kong it gives the opportunity to be close to the necessary things needed such as stores, convenience, stores, and the MTR. Very easily accessible and lovely staff. Would you recommend and come again.
LLuoKebersihan bilik adalah baik. Terdapat banyak makanan liar berdekatan.
RRichelle SantiagoThe hotel is okay nearby the company meeting that we attended. It was my first trip overseas and I enjoyed it. I was excited and happy that I managed to travel overseas for the first time with my own hard earned money. It was possible with Abit help from our tenant's wife she gave small token of appreciation for my graduation. Did not expect to have this gift from someone I recently just met.
