With the stay in a 6-bed dorm room being just an ordinary experience, the best about this place in my opinion are outside the room and specifically the ”wide corridors” nicely spacious to walk around & the ”huge lounge” downstairs with plenty of work-spaces (big tables & chairs all around). And yes, also pretty ”nice & filling” was its buffet-styled breakfast with really a variety of items (actually food available throughout the day with lunch & dinner as well but which you have to pay for unlike the breakfast included with the stay). If coming here from the Zurich Central (HB) Station, there's the train first to Hardbrucke (just one station from HB) followed by the bus to Jugendherberge (about a 15-minute ride and getting off at the station just before its last stop of Morgental). And if going downtown from here to the area with the city's ”main churches” (Fraumunster, Grossmunster & St. Peter's), there's a tram at just about a 5-minute walk ”straight from” the front entrance (and likely at a frequent interval).

Nice hostel, much better than a regular hostel and gives more privacy. Also nice and cool in the dorm room. Vending machine takes card and receptionist was helpful. Though we were told we needed to scan our card to enter the room but the door just appeared unlocked so no sure how secure this is as we didnt need to scan. Perhaps at night once the receptionist leaves you need to scan then. Showers are nice and they supply towels and hair dryers. Only other thing was the slamming of doors, you think it would be common courtesy not to do this but it would appear not. Staff could possibly install something on the door to stop it slamming or some sort of silencer. Could also do with the house rules inside the capsule as some guests need reminded that they are sharing with others. Would stay here again.

Das Hostel war ziemlich heruntergekommen, die Sanitäranlagen waren dreckig ;genauso wie die Küche und die Zimmer. Die Küche war zusätzlich schlecht ausgestattet. Für mich als reisende Frau war aber besonders die Tatsache, dass es keinen Frauenschlafsaal gab, ausschlaggebend. Das Hostel liegt im/nahe dem Rotlichtvirtel von Zürich, was bei mir dafür gesorgt hat, dass ich Abends nicht mehr rausgegangen bin .. Das einzig positive war das Personal. Als wir anmerken,daß wir uns nicht wohlfühlten,haben wir sofort ein neues Zimmer bekommen. Auch sonst war das Personal immer freundlich und hilfsbereit
