Hotel di Huangshan Tangkounandamen, Huangshan

This property is very well maintained and rooms are clean, and very well-appointed with the needed comforts. We truly applaud the attention-to-detail and effort that the husband-and-wife owners have put into this bed-and-breakfast property. We arrived as it started to get colder and truly appreciated the warm heating in the rooms. Fantastic warm showers. An amazing bonus amenity was the electric toilets! We are also thankful to the lady boss for highlighting the first Huangshan Peak snow-fall on our last day of stay! Upon her encouragement we decided an impromptu climb up Huangshan a second time. We were glad we did! The snow scenery at Huangshan peak was AMAZING. THANK YOU!

This charming guesthouse is nestled at the foot of Huangshan Mountain, conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the shuttle bus pick-up point. We booked two rooms, and the owner was incredibly hospitable. Noticing we had children, they kindly upgraded one of our rooms to a family room free of charge. The guesthouse provides complimentary trekking poles (a real lifesaver for my legs!), and there's an on-site restaurant on the ground floor. After dinner, we enjoyed strolling by the stream just downstairs, where we saw people fishing.

Very comfortable stay! Location and room both are 5+/5, and great bang for your buck. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the 逍橋溪 bus station, where you take the bus to the cable car station up the mountain. It wasn't busy for us at all - very different the photos I've seen at the main station further down the hill. There were no lines and it was straight up to the bus for us at 7AM! Room itself was very clean, well-appointed and spacious - we had such good sleep, which is so important for a good rest pre- and post-hiking. Breakfast is simple but filling. The service was also great - they were very helpful in explaining the mountain routes for us, and arranging transport for us to and fro the train station and other attractions such as HongCun. Overall would definitely stay here again and would 100% recommend.

The Emerald Valley, the filming location of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, is right next to the B&B. It's a short walk away. The environment is beautiful and the air is fresh. The B&B is newly opened, with new and high-end facilities. The rooms are large and there is a hot spring bath. You can take a dip when you're tired of climbing. The owner is very welcoming and will pick you up at the transfer station when climbing Huangshan. The service is excellent. If I come to Huangshan again, I will definitely choose this place

The host is friendly and generous. We booked two nights with a gap in between as we have a night at HuangShan. The host allowed us to keep everything in the same room until we return. The Cottage is 5 min walk to the HuangShan South Gate Bus station. Good location. The room is clean, cozy and quiet. Separated bathroom and toilet bowl with electronic toilet seat. We have ala carte dinner in the “cottage” . The food was amazing, very delicious. We ordered beef and potato stir fry, Qianye Tofu and fried local veggies. Highly recommended. It is more suitable for Malaysia or Singapore tastebuds, not salty or oily but flavourful. It was served in good portions with reasonable price. Lastly, thank you the host for the car arrangement to Huang Shan North station. It is almost the same price as compare to the public transport with comfortable seat.

We are a family of four. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel thoroughly. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The Hotel was surrounded by mountains but it has all the facilities of a five star Hotel. As it was winter we didn't use the swimming pool but we had a fun time soaking in the outdoor hot springs. Both the dinner and breakfast were delicious and the ingredients were of the best quality. The reception was warm and professional. The young men and lady running the place gave us excellent advice on how to climb the mountain. Overall, I recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants an excellent time at the mountain base before climbing the mountain and to recoup after the climb before returning to the hustle and bustle of city life.

Great hosts, they were very helpful to meet all our needs like transportation, breakfast preferences etc. Location is in a quiet neighborhood away from the noisy road. It takes 15 min by car to get to the South Gate of the Yellow mountain park. Bathtub in winter was a game changer during our stay. Definitely recommend this place.

We stayed one night at this hotel. It is adjacent to the main bus station, probably one of the best locations in the city if you want to visit the mountains. The desk manager was one of the most fluent English speakers we met in China, and he was incredibly helpful in guiding us and suggesting a plan to explore the mountains. He also explained how to buy tickets, where to go, and how to reach the train station. The hotel has its own restaurant, which doesn’t appear on Google Maps or Apple Maps. The food is good, and guests get a discount. While exploring the city we found plenty of restaurants, but we ended up coming back to the hotel’s restaurant twice because it was so convenient and good. If you’re not staying on top of the mountain itself (you should if you have the means) but at the base, this hotel is probably one of the best choices you can make.

This is a beautiful hotel located in a quiet area beside the Jade Valley. There is a small convenience store in front, not many eateries around but as we had all our meals in the hotel it wasn’t a problem. There is only the sound of birds chirping and running river, none of the incessant honking and noisy traffic in Tangkou. The meals prepared by the owners are very delicious, make sure you book ahead if you want to have lunch or dinner there. The breakfast included in the room was also a generous spread, so much so we could takeaway leftovers to eat on our Huangshan climb. The room is spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and the proprietress kindly gave us a larger room that was available on the second floor, saving my mum from climbing to the third floor. Do note that laundry is not self service here. We were surprised that the lady boss had to wash and help us to hang it out to dry before collecting it again in the evening for us, and also felt bad for troubling her as she is already handling everything else in the hotel. She also kindly arranged for a driver to pick us up and send us to the train station. And helped to send us to the bus terminal to Huangshan. Just remember to hop off at the 逍遥溪 stop on the way back as it’s nearer for them to pick up from there. Thank you for the lovely stay and wishing you much success in future.

I can't praise this guesthouse enough! It truly exceeded our expectations, especially for our first visit to Huangshan, making us feel such genuine warmth and hospitality. First and foremost, the environment is exceptionally well-maintained and spotlessly clean; you can literally see it from the moment you step through the entrance. Secondly, the service deserves five stars. The location is very easy to find, and the owner and their entire family are incredibly friendly and approachable. I had accidentally booked the wrong room type, but the owner was super accommodating, upgrading our room immediately without a second thought, saving us the hassle of finding a new place at the last minute. What's more, it's very close to the scenic area. The owner provided detailed guidance on how to ascend and descend the mountain, even offering walking sticks and raincoats. They also provided shuttle service to the scenic area entrance, which was incredibly thoughtful! Thirdly, the guesthouse's unique design truly showcases the owners' excellent taste. It features dedicated areas for relaxation, tea, dining, and even a small fitness zone. You can kickstart your morning with an invigorating coffee, and after a day of exploring Huangshan, you can order a delicious meal upon your return. The Huizhou cuisine is exceptional – it tastes like comforting home cooking, isn't greasy, and perfectly suited our family. Our child absolutely loved the guesthouse's own swimming pool, which offered great views and was perfect for unwinding after a long day of hiking. Fourthly, the guest rooms are elegantly furnished, peaceful, and relaxing. They are tastefully minimalist and spotless, providing a calming retreat and slowing down the pace of our travels. Finally, I must reiterate: fantastic hosts, beautiful rooms, and outstanding service – we truly felt at home. This stay was absolutely worth every penny! Highly recommended!
