My child had been looking forward to our trip to Huangshan for a long time, and it ended perfectly. The weather was truly amazing these past two days, nothing but sunshine. I booked a hotel on the mountain early on, planning to stay there on Friday night. I learned that Beihai Hotel was newly renovated, with excellent facilities, and it's right next to the 'Pen of Inspiration' scenic spot, so I booked Beihai Hotel. We arrived at the hotel around 10 AM on Friday. Since the room wasn't ready yet, we stored our luggage at the front desk and set off to explore Huangshan with just our essentials. At that time, I added Xin Yu, our hotel concierge, on WeChat. Xin Yu sent us a lot of very useful information about the sunrise and sunset in the scenic area, as well as hotel details, which I really appreciated. After finishing our hike through the West Sea Grand Canyon, we checked in around 5 PM. The room was very clean and cozy. There were two down jackets provided in the room for guests watching the sunrise. Since I had a child with me, I specifically asked concierge Xin Yu for an additional one. Xin Yu was patient and friendly, handling my request promptly, and the down jacket was delivered to our room very quickly. Our stay was quite comfortable, and breakfast was also very good. Overall, Beihai Hotel is definitely worth a stay.

The B&B is near the Huangshan Scenic Area South Gate Transfer Center, though it's a bit of a walk. The owner will drop you off right after you depart. There's a small convenience store in front of the building, perfect for grabbing food and shopping on your way up the mountain. The B&B also has a restaurant. The stinky mandarin fish is incredibly cheap, and the food is homely and generously portioned. Highly recommended! 👍👍👍 The rooms are clean and tidy, with excellent ventilation. There's a laundry room on the third floor, complete with a washer, dryer, and detergent, which is incredibly convenient. The front desk staff was very professional and helpful. Even with our children and limited energy, they quickly provided expert and effortless hiking tips. There's also a hiking map at the front desk. Even if you didn't bring your hiking poles or raincoats, you can borrow them free of charge. ✌️
You can order takeout directly to your room. Downstairs is a food court with restaurants, supermarkets, and a pharmacy, making it very convenient!
If you want to fully experience Huangshan in one trip, stay a few days and hike from both trailheads. Check the weather; Huangshan has a unique charm on both sunny and rainy days. It's amazing!

We were a group of 8 people and had an unforgettable stay here. The hotel owner is one of the kindest and most helpful people we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us warmly, gave us great local recommendations, and even personally drove us to each destination!
On the day we went hiking in the mountains, he provided us with free walking sticks. He helped us with everything — arranging transfers, buying entrance tickets, and planning the route. He also allowed us to check in early and check out late, which was incredibly convenient.
I shared room 8303 with my friend. The room is designed for two people and had two separate beds, both very comfortable to sleep in. There was also an air conditioner in the room, which made our stay even more pleasant.
Another thing we’re super grateful for — the owner kindly let us do laundry. After hiking in the mountains, our clothes definitely needed it!
The view from the window was absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, full of natural light, and have plenty of power outlets. The showers were great, with clean water and convenient showerheads. There were all the necessary toiletries: body soap, shampoo — we recommend bringing your own conditioner if needed.
The hotel can also prepare food for guests. We really enjoyed the tomato and egg noodles — delicious and homey.
There’s also a local café nearby where we had breakfast a few times.
The hotel is located in the mountains, perfectly positioned for visiting nearby attractions, waterfalls, hiking spots, and even riding quad bikes.
A tip: bring a good quality raincoat if you’re visiting during rainy weather!
The owner speaks basic English, and even though it wasn’t easy for him, he patiently explained everything to us in English with so much kindness and care. He truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable — even helped us search for a lost phone in the mountains!
He also called us in advance before our arrival to confirm our plans and helped arrange a transfer to the train station after check-out.
We wish him and his family good health, happiness, and prosperity. He and this hotel deserve not just 5 stars, but 1000! Wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

We chose the Qingyin Caolu B&B, which is located in a quiet area amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. It only takes 2 minutes to walk into the alley from the big tree at the entrance of the village. My kid and I stayed in Yuese Xishi room, which had a big bed and a big window. The weather was fine and the view from the window was stunning.

GGuest UserHongcun Yushan mountain scenery house is convenienly located near the South Gate of Hongcun Scenic area. We booked courtyard B which is located outside and behind the main hotel complex with breakfast included. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable, and had a small courtyard, but unfortunately no garden chairs or table to sit outside. In hindsight we woud book another room in the main complex next time. It has a lovely open garden and plenty of outdoor seating. I contacted the hotel before our stay and managed by using a voice translator to connect with the staff on Wechat. A friendly staff member met us at the entrance to the scenic area and entry is free of charge when you stay at the hotel. The hotel staff don't speak any English, but they were very helpful and friendly and we got along fine using Wechat and other translators. I won't recommend eating dinner at the hotel as there are many local Chinese restaurants in the ancient village. The hotel offers a coffee shop in the lobby and has a number of options, like Americano, Latte etc. The coffee is very good, but I felt it was a bit pricey for the cup size. The hotel breakfast is Chinese with no Western options, and it is served in unique way in a tray. I enjoyed the breakfast, but my husband would have liked more western options. On our arrival the room was already pre-heated and the beds in the room were comfortable. It was snowing lightly when we arrived and there were umbrellas available in the room. They also provide vanity items. We visited just before the Chinese New Year tourist rush at the beginning of the holiday and this was a very good location and time to visit despite the cold weather. The ancient village was not too crowded and it was nice to walk around in the evenings and daytime with the hotel is situated conveniently right next to the South lake. Drone flying is allowed which can give drone flyers an aerial view of the village. Depending on your iterinary a one night stay is sufficient to visit Hongcun and the nearby Xidi ancient village then move on to another hotel at the foot or top of the mountain or Tunxi village. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel to travelers wanting a good hotel experience in Hongcun.

GGuest UserThis stay really exceeded my expectations! I booked this place after seeing the recommendation in a book before the holiday. Through communication, I felt that the boss was very nice. He would patiently help me read the guide and give thoughtful suggestions on attractions and meals. The homestay is quiet and comfortable, the room is exquisitely decorated and warm, the bedding is soft and clean, and it is so comfortable to sleep~ The landlady is warm and thoughtful, and prepared local specialty snacks for us. The meals cooked at home are also very delicious, especially the fried meat with fresh bamboo shoots, which is super delicious. We also provided pick-up and drop-off services for our mountain climbing the next day. In the evening, we wanted to buy things at the entrance of the scenic spot. In order not to let us get scammed, we drove ourselves to take a detour to buy. When we left, we also took us to a delicious restaurant where locals go. The female boss really paid full marks for details. I strongly recommend it to friends who come to Huangshan to relax. I will definitely come again on my next trip❤️

KKongxinerThis truly lives up to its reputation as the most design-forward hotel I've stayed in. The way the spaces are isolated from each other is completely unique from other hotels; each area feels entirely separate and undisturbed, almost like being at home. It's clean and bright, and the bathtub is fantastic – a soak after hiking Mount Huangshan was incredibly relaxing. It's also very close to the South Gate of Mount Huangshan, with many restaurants nearby, and the hotel offers a shuttle service.

MM485235****Facilities: The smart home system is incredibly convenient. The bathrooms are very clean and new, with a wet/dry separation, which perfectly solves the problem of not being able to shower and use the toilet simultaneously when traveling with friends. There's also a designated vanity area with a large counter, absolutely perfect for several girls to do their makeup together.
Cleanliness: The room was spotlessly clean. I can genuinely say that getting such a great hotel for this price is an absolute steal.
Environment: This is my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in. It has a laundry room, foot spa, supermarket, and even robot room service. On the first floor, you can enjoy local Anhui cuisine with a discount, and they'll even deliver it right up to your room. You just order in your room, and soon enough, hot food from downstairs arrives.
Service: From booking to checking out, the entire experience felt incredibly personal. The front desk staff were wonderful, unlike the robotic, 'just doing their job' vibe you often get at other hotels. After hiking Huangshan, I booked this hotel and contacted the front desk to arrange a car to pick us up from the Huangshan South Transfer Center. In less than ten minutes, the hotel car arrived. Later, during check-in downstairs, they gave us a souvenir and some tea. The front desk service was superb, and overall, the shuttle service and all our needs were met.
If I come to Huangshan again, I will definitely stay here. Most importantly, I will enthusiastically recommend this hotel to all my friends. It's truly affordable with excellent service, satisfying even someone with high demands like me.

WWHUWe are a couple from the Netherlands and we are travelling through China for 3 weeks. We have already been in Zhejiang province and saw Wencheng county nearby Wenzhou and the Yunhe rice terraces in Yunhe county nearby Lishui. The past few days we have had great fun in Huangshan
The staff at the reception gave us a warm welcome and the information that was given on possible trips in the area was interesting and complete.
The hotel is located just outside Tangkouzhen, a nice 15 minutes walk from the bus terminal. We loved the fact the hotel neighbourhood was relatively quiet. Just next door and opposite the hotel you can find supermarkets and restaurants.
The reception is very helpful in arranging transport to and from the hotel. Various times we made use of shared car trips. The chauffeurs were polite, service minded and punctual. The transfer costs per person were also very reasonable.
The room was spacious and well equipped. We liked the fact that there was a little refridgerator in the room and a free water and cola drink on the house. The airconditioning was okay. We watched a few movies on the television and loved the variety of good movies to choose from.
The breakfastbuffet was good and there was great variety of food. Baozi, steamed jiaozi, rice porridge, vegetables, sweet potatoes, fried noodles and fries rice etc.
It is also very convenient that the restaurant is also serving lunch and dinner dishes. The menu really looks good and the prices are reasonable.
We thank the hotel staff for giving us suggestions on our trip to Huangshan. Very informative. We really enjoyed our trip into Huangshan mountains and the old village of Hongcun.
We are grateful that you gave us a great time at Songyue Hotel. It really felt like our second home. I loved the duck they serve in the restaurant 😋

GGuest UserThe accommodation has a free shuttle to/from the station, definitely a plus! It's only a 10 minute walk, but 10 minutes with heavy luggage is something you could miss. It’s a bit inconvenient that you have to call them to actually book the shuttle, because I don’t speak Mandarin and they don’t speak English, so a call would not be possible, but maybe that’s something that Trip could improve on. When I checked out, the lady told me (through a translation app) that she could drop me off at the station, which I was very happy about.
When I checked in, I got a room upgrade as well. I was alone so I didn’t really need two beds, but the the huge room was very nice after all those bunk beds in hostels! They also offer a carpooling service to the ticket office/entrance of Huangshan for a good price! Just tell them the night before that you’d like to go to Huangshan and they will arrange a shuttle for you (mine was at 7 am in the morning and I just had to message them when I wanted to go back to the hotel in the evening).
They can offer sightseeing tips, they can recommend you something to eat. Just ask and they will help you. Sometimes it was just a bit hard to communicate, the woman uses a translation app which works just fine, but the man doesn’t, he tries to explain everything in Mandarin by using gestures, writing it down in Mandarin … but then it’s obviously not easy to understand each other. That aside, they’re both so sweet and helpful. I would stay there again, if I ever come back!
Side note, Trip does not give you the correct address of the hotel (in English). Whichever map app I used, it would send me to an open space in the street of the hotel. The hotel is actually located just a bit further next to a (very good!) restaurant, but just ask someone in the street and they will bring you to the reception of the hotel, if you can’t find it. 😉

There is no elevator in the B&B. The owner is very enthusiastic to help us move our luggage. The service is super good!
The owner is very nice. The driver of the carpool from Hongcun to Tangkou did not send us to the door of the B&B. The owner came to pick us up. He also sent us to the entrance of Huangshan at 5 o'clock the next day. The boss really worked hard. The driver from Huangshan to the high-speed rail station was also contacted by the boss. He is really responsible
We had dinner at the B&B. All five dishes were delicious and the price was very affordable. I was very satisfied
The scenery in front of the B&B is very good and it looks good for taking pictures
