Stay Hotel

After reading all the reviews on this site I was worried that I booked this place. Right from when I first came greeted with really friendly person which helped me with my parking. Tye place was beautiful decorated the room was clean with molten brow cosmetics with robes. Nice tea and coffee facilities in the room. The breakfast can be improved but that was minor for me. All my other colleagues were staying at the premier inn but I am so happy that I was able to give my business to a local hotel with great staff. Thanks

Stayed one night for work, hotel looks nice from outside although not in nice part of town, I walked from the station on a bright evening, didn’t feel particularly nice, would have got a cab had it been dark, arrived at hotel asked why is the restaurant closed to be told we don’t have an evening restaurant ask what food options McDonald’s and Nando’s apparently so has to walk back to the high street. Hotel had a nice appearance and was spotless clean, I had a ground floor room which was very noisy throttle night sounded like a washing machine was doing a cycle. Room was also cold

Disappointing breakfast. Not much service either. Room was clean, large and comfortable. EVERYTHING was branded inc water bottles which was a big excessive. Not really any shelves in bathroom for toiletries. Location was fine. Right in centre.

Room was very good. Reception very helpful! Room needs a bit of work , cracks under window sill and such. The biggest disappointment was the cooked breakfast , deep fried sausages, bacon was awful, mushrooms cut into a million bits, the continental breakfast was good , however the clearing of the tables was non existent and we had to wait 25 minutes for a cooked a breakfast that was of poor quality .

Absolutely shocking place snacks left out on display thought a lovely complimentary thing to do got home checked my account was charged 12.55 for miniature size snacks the shower is a nightmare to work the room was cold 🥶 advice go to wetherspoon for the breakfast as here it will cost you £15 keep away guys it's a rip off 😀 never again was going to book my wedding here as a meal but will go where the staff are sensible and how there think i would pay that for a few pathetic snacks 😀

I appreciate we stayed on probably one of the hottest nights of the year. This hotel has no air conditioning whatsoever coupled with the fact it’s a flat roofed building and the sash windows you can hardly open we had a room on the second floor which to be perfectly honest was unbearable. I am sure the hotel was not fully booked and they could have easily have allocated us a room on a lower floor. The room was suffocating to say the least and as for the corridors I dread to think what temperatures both the rooms and corridor read. Fire exit door on the first floor was blocked by sacks of towels which had just been delivered and dumped there, this is illegal. The breakfast whilst the gentleman serving and doing the cooking at the same time was lovely and friendly . The menu was very restricted due to the hotel having run out of mushrooms avocado hash browns white bread and butter pats. If you wanted a cooked vegetarian breakfast you were left with beans and eggs. Only apple juice on offer no orange juice The car parking is extremely limited and we had to pay £15 to park overnight. Whilst the hotel is in a good position and was clean. We were disappointed and suffice to say won’t be returning. Am currently waiting for my £50 deposit to be released back into my account
