The Thorpe Guesthouse

We stayed at the Thorpe with two other couples and had a most relaxing time. We were all made extremely welcome by our hosts Stewart and Nicki. We all had lovely bedrooms with en-suites. Our breakfasts were individually prepared (no doubt as my wife and I were always later than everyone else!) and were great. Nothing seemed too much trouble for S & N and they gave us lots of advice about what to do and where to go. They even told us about a tribute concert of Fleetwood Mac in Ely cathedral which we went to and enjoyed. It’s a great location to explore the area and an interesting 50 minute ‘busway’ trip into Cambridge £2!). We will certainly return when we have an opportunity and thank you S & N for everything.

Without Doubt The Best Guesthouse we have had the pleasure to stay in. Spacious Rooms,more than comfortable beds.Breakfasts were on time,hot and more than enough. Hosts Steward and Nicki I can not praise them high enough. Would recommend this Guest House to Everyone. Chris &Maureen.

A lovely weekend staying at The Thorpe Guest House. Our room was immaculately clean. Cosy king-size bed where we had three lovely nights sleep. Our room also had a kitchen which was very handy. This is a beautiful property with breakfast served each morning in the main part of the house. Nicky and Stewart are a lovely couple who make you feel very welcome. The village is very pretty with some lovely walks. We went down for the racing at Newmarket which is only a 40 minute drive. The historic town of St Ives is only about 2 miles away and well worth a visit. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend

An amazing guest house located in a picturesque village. Stayed for a week and Stewart and Nicky were lovely hosts. The rooms are excellent, modern, spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was also excellent - wether full English or continental. We were given suggestions on local places to visit which was helpful as there is so much to see in the area. Thank you so much Stewart and Nicky we had a wonderful time - would stay again with no hesitation.

The property was easy to find with parking on the drive for about 6 cars. The building was very modern and clean. My room was facing the front of the property but the lane (The Thorpe) was quiet. In any case, the windows were double glazed. The room was a good size even with a king size bed, which was really comfortable. There are a couple of pubs and a convenience store/post office in the village. Road links to St Ives, Huntingdon and Cambridge are close by. I would definitely recommend this property.

Spotless accommodation, in a nice quiet village, conveniently situated for transport into Cambridge. Superb breakfast and excellent value for money. Could not fault it. I would certainly recommend it.

Really lovely one night stay, parking area, lovely welcome, fantastic room. Unfortunately I didn't have time for breakfast but the first time staying in a guest house as opposed to a hotel, I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

The hosts were so welcoming informative of local facilities. The Doghouse was a perfect space for me. I loved the outside space especially. Would love to return. The river was just a short walk away and just sad I didn’t get to spend longer here. Highly recommended.
