We spent a weekend here, using it as a base to visit the local area. We had a pleasant room with a view out over the Channel and the eastern side of the town. The room was clean, comfortable and had a very good shower. The room's TV was a bit small, but there is always the option to use the larger one in the guest lounge on the same floor, which also has facilities for eating take-away food. The breakfast was cooked to order, using very tasty bacon (!) and there was a wide variety on the menu. The preserves were of good quality - the sort of thing where you get slices of orange in your marmalade and actual fruit in your jam, rather than the little containers of "jelly" found in many hotels! The parking is limited, but on-street parking is available nearby. Suzanna was welcoming and very helpful in suggesting local places to eat and, in some cases, to avoid! We would be happy to return, having had a very pleasant stay.

Rolled up late on a weekday evening without a reservation: the owner could not have been more welcoming and understanding. Spent a cosy night in a clean, comfortable and quiet en-suite double room in a beautifully-kept house and garden. Thank you for your hospitality, Susie; I will be back!

We had a lovely one night stay at Sunny Bank , our room was clean as was the bathroom which had a heated towel rail. Small shower gel and shampoo bottles were also provided. The beds were comfy and the room had a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. There is free on site parking and free wi-fi. For breakfast , there was a choice of 5/6 cereals , orange juice , tea , coffee and a full English breakfast which was delicious. The owner Susannah was also able to cater for gluten free options and got some gluten free bread in for us. I would definitely stay here again.

Due to a major plumbing issue my 86yr old father needed to quickly find alternative accommodation. Thank goodness for Sunnybank helping out at short notice. My father thought the room & facilities were lovely & the host extremely kind & helpful. Thank you 🙏

Five-star hospitality. In an atmosphere that was welcoming, homely and cozy. The host looked after us very well and they really went the extra mile with hospitality, especially for my 9-year-old granddaughter. Real kindness! The breakfast was freshly cooked with quality ingredients and every whim catered for. It was lovely to have the lounge to relax in and cereal, bread for toast, spreads and fresh milk provided. The location is superb, as described. Off-road parking was a real plus.

J'y étais pour une question de succession familiale. Ce séjour aurait pu être éprouvant mais il s'est transformé en une sorte de "pèlerinage" agréable. Il était bien agréable de rentrer au chaud le soir et de partager ces moments avec Suzanna qui m'a aidée autant qu'il était possible. Merci ! J'espère retourner chez vous. Les petits déjeuner sont très copieux, la chambre vraiment top. Je n'aurais pas pu espérer mieux.
