Ulasan Songdo Central Park Hotel

My fiancé and I stayed here the night before our flight home and were sadly disappointed. You would think a “5-star” hotel near an airport would go the extra mile to accommodate its traveling guests but this one did less than the bare minimum. We arrived around 1pm and they allowed us to leave our bags next to the reception desk while we waited for check in at 3pm (this was the only act of accommodation we experienced). There was no where to sit in the lobby so we waited in the restaurant where, of course, we weren’t allowed to sit for free. We ordered a green tea (bland), a latte (fine), and a pizza (too much cheese and somehow flavorless). We asked about WiFi and they pointed us to an open network that they admitted doesn’t work on the first floor and refused, even at 2:30, to give us access to the WiFi we would get with the room. That, we would have to pay a fee for so we declined, and waited the last half hour. Once we got into a room, the WiFi network available to us was still unsecure and meant for everyone on the entire floor. An unsecure WiFi network is completely unacceptable at any hotel, let alone a “5-star” hotel. The air conditioning/fan and heating system didn’t work - the room was very hot, even in winter, and only got hotter and more stuffy after showers. The window could open a crack but it barely let in any air so it wasn’t much help. The comforter on the bed was too hot to use so I wore the robe they give you and still had trouble getting to sleep. The room was pretty and clean enough for a nights stay but that’s it. I have no idea how they can say they are a 5-star hotel and I genuinely wish we had chosen to stay somewhere more welcoming and friendly for our last night in Korea.
