Super 8 by Wyndham Independence

I'm not sure what was going on during check in, but I stood there for 12 minutes while two people worked to help the gentleman before me. That's fine, but the fact that the women never acknowledged the other people waiting or thanked them for their patience was odd. When I got to my room, I was disappointed. The floors had some sort of film on them, as did all the surfaces. Whatever they use to clean leaves a ton of residue. The towels had yellow stains and were so thin that just drying my hands after washing left one completely damp. The baseboard of the bed was splattered with mud, and there was hair on the toilet seat. The sheets at least looked clean and I was tired so I tried to settle in. The longer I was in the room, though, the sicker I felt. It was cloyingly sweet, and my throat was getting sore and my skin was itchy. I suspect someone had smoked in the room and they used a ton of air freshener to mask it. Anyway, I left. I was going to explain the issue at the front desk, but she was helping someone and, after standing there for a few minutes, I foresaw another long wait, so I set down my key, said I was having an allergic reaction to the room, and I left. I was going to call later to explain, but they emailed me the bill without a concern, so I didn't bother.

A very clean and the staff was very nice and helpful I feel they need to put a pool back in here. And need to make sure that the guest laundry works. This Super 8 is in a very good location across the street from Walmart and gas station down the street

I was coming to town for a business trip and everything was what I was looking for. The rooms was cleaned the staff was very friendly. Thanks for all you do.

Had issues checking in as someone already tried to check me in before i arrived and charged a card i had no intentions of using.

Bedspread was so slick, whenever you'd roll over in bed, all the covers would end up on the floor. No blanket (I brought my own from previous experience there). I had to put luggage on bed to weigh down the bedspread and keep covers on the bed. I was there to deer hunt in the area. I went to breakfast area to get coffee to find that floor had been mopped with industrial cleaner and REEKED of cleaning smell. I couldn't get coffee because any deer within hundreds of yards would smell the cleaner on my boots/clothes. They did this EVERY morning even after I told them why it was a problem. There were many other hunters there at the same time that I'm sure felt the same way. Clean the floors another time of day.......Holy cow.

Zero effert on the breakfast. Just enough to advertise they have one. Hardly stock what they do offer, unless you want the 2 cerals. Nicely remodeled rooms. 1 wash cloth per room. Very nice for price.

Good, basic accommodations. Breakfast is weak. Very nice employees.

Could be the location. There was nothing to choose from for breakfast! There was a pancake maker machine, a loaf of bread and a toaster. Stale cereal, spoiled milk in the same container all week. The 3 of 4 days I didn’t even bother cause nothing looked clean and nothing was going to be done about it. I won’t be returning!

Customer service was the best we had on a two week plus road trip. The owner/manager was attentive and extremely helpful. The maid had forgotten to stock paper products and the coffee maker was missing and he fixed that immediately. He was on top of everything and had the best attitude we experienced on our whole trip. We were able to do laundry here and everything worked good. We would definitely stay there again.
