"Recently stayed at JR Kyushu Hotel Kagoshima and really enjoyed the stay. The location is unbeatable, it is directly connected to Kagoshima-Chuo Station, with an entrance right after exiting the Shinkansen or local train gates. The room was surprisingly spacious. We could open two large suitcases, one medium, and two cabin bags at the same time and still have space to move around comfortably, which is quite rare for hotels in Japan. The hotel is also next to AMU Plaza Kagoshima, so there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Overall, a very convenient hotel and a great choice for travelers visiting Kagoshima."

"It was a wonderful stay. The hotel management was excellent, and the room was in great condition. I want to give a special mention to Miss Gotanda 五反田, who guided me after check-in. Her detailed explanations and warm smile set a positive tone even before I checked in. The hotel's hot spring overlooks Sakurajima volcano, enjoy hot spring while watching the sunrise was a truly delightful experience. I will definitely come back again next time."

"Took the twin room and it was sooooo spacious and comfortable. Had a great sleep every night. Room was conducively dark. Bathroom size was great too. Awesome location in the tenmokan area. Finally agree with the other reviews that hotel parking (found at the back) is expensive. Plenty of other parking spaces that have a better rate elsewhere. Just “shop” around for one."

"The furniture is a bit dated and worn out but it has a million dollar view of Sakurajima. I had planned to stay only for one night on my way elsewhere but after seeing the view from my balcony, I immediately booked another night and the next day, the staff were very accommodating to allow me to stay in the same room without checking out and checking back in later. Would totally recommend this hotel to anyone."

"As we arrived late from another city, this hotel was the best option! Check-in was available until midnight. The airport bus dropped us right at the building where the hotel was located. The lobby was on the 7th floor. The room had a view of Sakurajima, just as we’d booked. The room itself was a bit cramped for two, but the bathroom was amazing!"

"Hotel is about 2 kms from Kagoshimachuo station , not convenient if you travel by public transport. However, the hotel offer free shuttle bus to/from station, depart every 30 minutes. Public bath not so interesting but pastries in the lobby cafe are really good."

"I like this hotel. I've stayed here for 2 times. They provide a free transfer from and to Railway station and a city centre. Very good onsen with a scenic view on Sakurajima. You can also rent a bike here in the hotel for a reasonable price. Convenience store is right by the hotel."

"We had an amazing stay at this hotel and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The value for money is outstanding—everything you get here easily exceeds the price. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very pleasant to stay in, making it a great place to relax after a long day. The service was exceptional. The staff were always willing to help with anything we needed, no matter what it was, and they were consistently super kind, polite, and welcoming. You can really feel that they care about the guests. The location is perfect, with a bus stop right outside the hotel, making it very easy to get anywhere in the city quickly and efficiently. Overall, a fantastic stay—highly recommended!"

"Had a great stay at Daiwa. The location is so great. It’s across the street from the airport bus stop. Across the street is all The Kagoshima Island View hop on and hop off bus stop, and buses/trams to Sakurajima, Kagoshima Chuo train station. It’s right next to the Tenmonkan shopping arcade and tons of food and bar options. You can also walk to so many tourist attractions. You can’t go wrong with this hotel based on location alone. The rooms are bigger than average and clean. The washrooms especially were an impressive size with great appliances from Reha. There are so many amenities to choose from at the front desk lotions to hair milk to Epsom salt, different coffee pods and tea bags. There is a self serve laundry on the 8th floor that costs 600 yen. The hotel is quiet for the fact that it’s located in the center of all the action. My room had a beautiful view of Sakurajima and the city. Will definitely stay here next time I come to Kagoshima!"

"При заселении оказалось, что есть нестыковка между номера на Трип.ком и реальным номерным фондом. И как результат забронированный нами номер занят. В качестве замены нам предложили 2 варианта: площадью в 2 раза меньше (20 кв.м. вместо 40), зато с сауной в номере (нам такое не интересно), либо такой же площади, как изначально бронировали (40 кв.м.), но с 4 кроватями вместо нашей одной. Убедившись, что в нем окна тоже выходят на Сакурадзиму, мы выбрали его. На втором этаже 2 полутораспальные кровати, на первом 2 двуспальные. Матрасы и подушки комфортные, в меру жёсткие. На мини-кухне чайник, холодильник, плита, раковина, дрип-пакеты с кофе, сахар, кружки, тарелки, столовые приборы, даже сковорода. В ванной комнате есть шампунь, кондиционер, гель для душа, мыло, фен. Каждый день приносят чистые полотенца, забирают грязные и мусор (если их оставить на полу в прихожей), выдают новые мусорные пакеты. Возле ресепшна есть комод, в котором можно взять бритву, расческу, мочалку, ватные палочки, бумажные салфетки, маску для сна, беруши, зубную щётку и пасту. Уборка в номере предусмотрена при проживании более 4 дней, т.е. за 6 дней у нас убрались 1 раз. Вход в номер по qr-коду, который дают сфотографировать при заселении, он же позволяет пользоваться лифтом. Он же нужен для самостоятельного чекаута. Для удобства мы добавили код в понижение для разных скидочные карт. Минусы есть, но не критичные: автоматический свет в туалете: когда ночью встаёшь, он бьёт в глаза. Слишком теплые одеяла. В пятницу и субботу вечером в парке Тенмонкан, на который выходят окна номера, было очень шумно. Возможно это было связано с празднованием Хэллоуина (в остальные дни было тихо). В целом гостиница классная, новая, современная, однозначно стоит своих денег. С удовольствием вернёмся ещё."
