"Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Fili Hotel NUSTAR. The facilities, amenities, and service from the room staff met our expectations. The pool, gym, and other amenities were excellent, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of selections. My daughter especially loved the complimentary popcorn, bread, and juice served in the lobby during check-in, which was a thoughtful touch. However, there were a few areas that could be improved, particularly during the check-in process. For a five-star hotel, the check-in took quite a while due to the long queue, which was disappointing after arriving at the hotel. I had reserved a Twin Bed room, but upon check-in, we were informed that only a King Bed room was immediately available and that it would take longer if we chose to wait for a Twin Bed room to become available. The staff advised that they could arrange the room later, but this would have required them to enter our room after we had already settled in. Then, the in-room staff delivered extra pillows and bedding. We opted not to proceed with the extra bed setup and simply used the spacious couch, which we moved closer to the bed and made up with the extra bedding. This arrangement worked well for the three of us and allowed us to rest immediately after a long day of travel, without having to wait for additional room preparations or have staff working in the room while we were already relaxing. Note that their standard check-in time is at 3 PM, we arrived at the hotel past 3 pm already. We were also celebrating my husband's birthday during our stay. During the booking process, I requested if it would be possible to display a personalized birthday greeting on the room's TV screen. The hotel kindly confirmed via email that they would arrange the greeting and also provide a birthday cake. We truly appreciated the thoughtful birthday cake delivered to our room, which was a lovely gesture. However, the personalized birthday message on the TV was unfortunately not displayed as promised. Another issue occurred during check-in regarding our breakfast entitlement. I had booked a room with breakfast for three guests, but the hotel's system only reflected breakfast for two. Fortunately, the staff resolved the issue without requiring any additional payment for our daughter after I presented my Trip.com booking confirmation. While I appreciate how they handled the situation, I believe these booking details should already be accurate upon arrival to avoid unnecessary inconvenience. Despite these check-in concerns, the rest of our stay was enjoyable. The room attendants were attentive and regularly checked if we needed anything, making us feel well taken care of. Overall, I would still recommend Fili Hotel NUSTAR for its excellent facilities, comfortable accommodations, and friendly staff. My only suggestion is to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the check-in process, as it sets the first impression for guests. Hopefully, our experience was an isolated case, and future guests will enjoy a smoother arrival."

"our stay was only short but a bit disappointed given that the price is a little bit pricey. breakfast was not buffet or unlimited. they only served plated breakfast. the pool is for design only. cannot be used by guest. it should be indicated so the guest would not expect more for this hotel.but the crew was too active and the service is okay."

"Location is excellent. Ayala Mall is 5 minutes walk. SM City mall is 30 minutes walk. There are cafe and restaurants just across the street, McDonald's and 7 eleven just behind Nice Big room, excellent bed and mattress, excellent pillows so nice very comfortable. The room bed mattress & pillows are much better than the 2 other neighboring hotels which are more expensive, I've stayed there too. Breakfast was excellent, buffet and there was bacon yummy. What i didn't like about this hotel are... 1)! They still insist on a deposit during check in 2) the overhead shower and the hand shower handle was broken and needed fixing. I like this hotel MORE than the other two neighbour hotels just next door and will choose this again next time"

"We've always stayed at Allson's if we just want to leave our stuff and roam around the city. The place is really cheap and at the center of the city. Will always book this hotel if I go to Cebu. Facility wise, it's not the latest but the rooms are comfortable."

"It was good value. Only complaint was that we were the very last room from the elevators. We counted the steps and it was almost 300 steps from elevator to our room. Also the hallway had a slightly musty odor from an obvious water leak."

"New hotel with nice decor. It's a bit far from the airport, but there are restaurants and convenience stores downstairs, plus plenty of dining options nearby. It's worth making the trip just to stay here - great value for money and excellent service. The only thing I'd like to mention is about the bedding hygiene. It would be best to double-check after cleaning the room, because in our room, two out of four pillows had some minor stains on them, but they weren't big so we didn't really mind. For this price range, everything else is basically perfect - highly recommended."

But i was not happy with the mattress and the pillows. i have stayed in the hotel beside it which is slightly cheaper and had better mattress, better pillows and bigger room in comparison.. Overall this hotel is good. But another disappointment is no face towel in the bathroom and breakfast had no bacon which i look forward especially it's in the Philippines There is a stupid policy that this hotel practice. I wonder who is the smart ellect who implemented which is you need a departure slip in order to leave after checkout. I was already in a hurry rushing to get to the airport and had to wait 15 minutes to get a departure slip. These days modern hotels have fast checkout where we just throw in the key card but this hotel is still stuck with bureaucracy OMG"

"The hotel's location is excellent, close to amenities. It's also a new hotel (2026), and the staff are honestly excellent, kind, and friendly. Whenever I travel to any country and return to Cebu, I prefer this hotel over others."

"I would like to raise a concern regarding our stay on May 15. On the morning of May 15, we woke up to find that the floor was extremely wet, and we also noticed that a large area of the ceiling was wet, which strongly suggests there may have been a water leak. This situation was very concerning and made us feel uncomfortable during our stay. In addition, the air conditioning unit in our room was very noisy, which seriously disturbed our sleep. Our friend staying in another room experienced the same issue with the air-conditioning noise as well. We will be staying at your hotel again tomorrow, and we are worried that the same problems may happen again. Could you please arrange for your staff to inspect these issues as soon as possible and ensure that our room for the next stay will be in good condition, with no leakage and a quiet air-conditioning unit?
