Good size room, could do more with maintenance of place, especially with the cleaning of the room, nice breakfast, like the bar area as well, nice selection of drinks, good swimming pool and sauna. Great location no far from the city centre. This place with a modern decoration and cleanliness can go up to a 5 star. Lovely staff, always ready to help you to get what you need. Definitely will be back again and will bring my kids too.

The room is old dated. Lack of attention very old stained furniture. The toilet was dirty. Asked to be cleaned to come back and all they did was give me clean towels. Bed sheets full of hairs. Which they changed after I asked to be changed. They did not vacuum the room. Carpets all over the room was old and stained/ dirty. Breakfast was lacking on choices and restaurant carpets dirty seats old with stains. So not pleasant to eat there. The highlight of this stay was the swimming pool facility. Really lovely big and nice.

The hotel is just on the outskirts of Ipswich. The staff are very welcoming, and extremely helpful. The rooms are of a good size and very clean. The housekeeping staff cleaned our room every morning after we had gone out, which was excellent. The restaurant food is of a very high standard and there is a good choice including vegetarian options. In the bar area where it is of a relaxed nature, you can order food from the bar menu or the restaurant menu. Either way, nothing is ever too much trouble. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room are a must. My husband used the gym which was of an average size and then would come down to the pool area for a jacuzzi. Although they have the spa treatment available, I can't really comment as I didn't use the facility. If you want a relaxing time or want to visit the seaside, Felixstowe is only a 30minute drive away. There are also many National Trust houses to visit. This the second time we have been to the Belstead Hotel and I can honestly say we will be visiting it again.

No fresh bedding

Fantastic stay which exceeded expectation. A beautiful hotel with lots of character. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The pool, sauna, jacuzzi were outstanding. The rooms were clean, well equipped and comfortable. Great selection of food which was all top notch. Ample parking. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

Amazing hotel amd staff The evening food was fantastic and good prices . The breakfast was buffet not so nice good do with seeing made to order and omlettes , eggs royal etc of menu as buffet food never stay hot and gets over cooked Booked massage while there and was totally amazing , we will be back and try pool next time . Hoping to try other hotels in the company to. Staff very polite.

Hotel reception lovely dont be fooled once away from reception paint on all doors windows and skirting peeling off the corridors smelt of sewarage .people running up and down corridors at 1in the mornin fire alarm set off.

Outdated property, feels like all the additions have been done with little to no budget. Could be a beautiful hotel, just sadly isn’t.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish, easy check in and check out. Friendliest staff possible. Cuban man on reception lovely. Perfect for couples

We stayed in the garden room and was very pleased, Lovely decor and overall great. Room service was very quick and tasty food. We will be returning again.

The hotel was lovely, although a little dated in the rooms. Staff were excellent and check in and check out process was very easy. Disappointed in the spa as they had a boiler issue making it near on impossible to use the pool, jacuzzi and even the sauna was cold. There was also an awful sewage smell in the ladies changing area. We booked the hotel solely because of the spa facilities so not being able to use them did ruin the stay. Had I of known prior to arriving I would have looked into changing hotels.
