Beautiful location on Skye. John and Annette were amazing and made sure we felt welcomed The beds were soft and comfortable. The shower was fantastic. Best part was the incredible view from our room (sea view). I woke up early just to watch the sunrise and this is NOT typical for me! Great visit! Highly recommend. Thank you John and Annette!!

Amazing location and lovely room. The view of the bay is outstanding and one of the best sun sets I've seen in a long time. Breakfast was perfect although the volume of the death metal music coming out of the kitchen was a bit much at 8am. But would definitely stay again!

Our family of 4 adults stayed at The Portree Hotel in 2 rooms for 2 nights. The cozy doubles and the hotel were as described. The made to order breakfasts were perfect! We were not able to eat dinner at the hotel either night as pre-booking is a necessity. Portree is a great location to explore Isle of Skye. All areas of interest are within driving distance.

I've read many of the reviews for Sligichan and while I can appreciate and understand why many have reported poor experiences, I think one has to put this property into perspective. Could the hotel use a few upgrades? Sure. Does Seumas' restaurant have the best food you will have in Scotland? No. Does everyone love their job at Seumas'? Probably not. But considering the location, the ambience, and the customer service from most of the staff, I rate this property highly. For those from the US that have reported that the property is overpriced, have you ever stayed at a property on or near a National Park? I've paid way more for a room at a NP that had no amenities and a 20 year old mattress! The property is clean, quiet, and the our bathroom was recently renovated. Additionally, the breakfasts in the AM were great, and if you have a custom order they are more than accommodating. A special shout out goes to Martin who I assume is the General Manager or something similar. While it is not necessarily a good thing for a property to have one person who can make your experience special, Martin is that person. I also had the occasion to connect with Martin after our visit and his customer service was as good after I left as it was when we were there in person. Thanks, Martin! I would most definitely go back.

SSilvaCarlaGreat location location to visit the west part of skye. 10 minutes away from the fairy glen. Breakfast was spectacular. The Pancakes were amazing and so were the eggs with salmon. Amazing buffet aswell. It just doesn't have amenities (shampoo and body wash), so bring some.

PPengguna TetamuA lovely hotel within an easy walk to downtown Portree. Rooms are arranged over 2 floors with the second floor having the better views. Even though we were on the first floor, our room was very quiet. The room was less spacious than we expected from seeing the pictures online, but it was adequate. Very little space to hang any clothes and more drawers would have been appreciated. However, the bathroom was lovely with a large walk-in shower. Service was very attentive whenever we needed anything. Would definitely recommend staying here when in the area. The Chargrill Restaurant is wonderful, too. We opted to have breakfast included in our reservation and are so glad we did. Every morning we were served a delicious, full breakfast from some of the nicest and most professional servers on The Isle of Skye. We also ate (2) dinners here and they were both delicious. Both of us are vegans and Chargrill had delicious vegan offerings. Wise to make reservations early for both breakfast and dinner.

面朝大海和雪山！還要什麼自行車！太美了！美哭了！這個景色接近西藏的林芝波密地區的松贊哈！
早餐更是面朝雪山，早餐是點單式的，挺好的，推薦蘇格蘭全早餐，酒店房間也很好！沒什麼可挑的，旺季才兩三千吧，要是淡季一千多實在太划算了！這裏適合多待幾天。
酒店樓下入口處有個停車場，那邊有個公園小門進去可以沿海徒步一圈6英里，非常值得户外愛好者去徒步，超級美！！！
酒店房間裏面就跟攜程的圖一摸一樣。
酒店有拖鞋！在歐洲也不多見。洗澡水還不錯！
整體很推薦！
如果來天空島，一定要住這家翠廉山！
建議天亮的時候到，小路拐彎上山找酒店晚上會看不太清楚導航，白天好很多！

Since we first went to Skye 50 years ago and then returned a couple of times, we have wanted to stay at the Hotel Eilean Iarmain. This year we did and loved it. Our sort of small, Victorian hotel. Lovely staff, excellent service and food, beautiful views. We stayed at the end of 10 days of pretty wet weather but our two days there were perfect and the Harvest moon was magnificent, drawing everyone out out of the hotel to watch its rise. All the guests were chatty ( many from North America ) and we had some good conversations. Surprised that the bar menu was the same as the main restaurant, and the same price - unusual, it's usually simpler and less expensive. The bar atmosphere was great though. Good spirits & gift shop attached. If it wasn't two day's drive from Buckinghamshire we'd stay regularly! Nick & Diana C.

Remember- you are in a desolate area of Scotland. This location and cabins really help you get back to the beauty of Skye. The detached cabins are small but very nice. Then you head down to the main lodge. Such a great full made-to-order breakfast ( best we had in Scotland) Their dinners are so good and well prepared. You will not be disappointed. Their bar is excellent. The best part is their staff. I want to mention , Lola at the front desk. What a gem of a person !

SSKO211We couldn't have been happier with this hotel! I was a bit hesitant to book here due to some negative reviews, but our experience couldn't have been more positive! I booked the Superior room, it was more than large enough for my husband and myself, and our adult son (the rooms were separated by a 4 or 5 step staircase, our son had the upper room, we had the lower). Beds and pillows were very comfortable, the rooms and bathroom were very clean! There is a fan provided in the room, thankfully, as I sleep with a fan on year round. The kind gentlemen at the desk even put one together for my son to use, much appreciated! The breakfast was fabulous, and the woman serving us each morning was an absolute delight! All of the staff members were kind, warm, and friendly! The bar downstairs is a comfortable place to hangout for the evening, there were mostly locals in there, lovely people, great conversations! I do highly recommend this hotel!

It is so amazing to wake up and see Sun Rise behind mountains by room' s window. Room is very cozy with good bedding and full of facilities in room.

We enjoyed our stay at Toravaig. Our room was lovely, with perhaps the comfiest bed of our entire Scotland stay. The view out of our window was pretty, with a ***** of the ocean being visible above the trees. The desk clerk Casper was friendly and welcoming. It was pleasant sitting in the lounge with a drink one evening and chatting with him. Our only issue was that no one had told us that we needed to leave our key at the desk in order to have our room cleaned, so it was disappointing after our first night to return to a room with an unmade bed and wet towels (and housekeeping gone for the day)--so be aware that you need to leave your key when you leave, and all will be well! We ate dinner one night at the sister hotel, Duisdale, and it was an exceptional meal. Try the panna cotta for dessert! Also highly recommend a visit to the Armadale castle and the museum and acres of lovely gardens with the huge variety of enormous old trees.
