My favorite hotel. Location is super so near to everything. The staff is super friendly and helpful specially Ali. I would definitely come back here again whenever I’m in Istanbul. Rooms are super clean .

If you’re looking for a very good hotel in Beşiktaş, don’t search alot and choose this one. I stayed at Hotel Basfora in end of June 2023 and it was amazing! The location was perfect, surrounded by great restaurants and shops and it was near to the attractions places in Istanbul. The neighbourhood was peaceful, ensuring a good night's sleep. The reception staff, especially Mehmet, were incredibly responsive, welcoming, and very helpful. His warm welcome, guidance, and assistance made our stay even more enjoyable, this applies to all the other staff also. The cost vs value at Hotel Basfora was excellent, offering a great experience at a reasonable price. However, it would be even better if the price included breakfast. Starting the day with a delicious meal would have added that extra touch of convenience and value. Additionally, there were a few minor maintenance issues in the bathroom, with water flow and a broken iron and AC. The elevator was also a bit slow and the rooms are not spacious. These are areas that could be improved to enhance guest satisfaction. Nevertheless, despite these minor drawbacks, Hotel Basfora remains a fantastic choice for an affordable stay in Istanbul. Also one note: there’s another hotel called Basfora plus belongs to the same owner, make sure to read the reviews of that one too, I made a mistake by going there first but I got to know the amazing reception staff there. This is my 4th visit and as you can see I keep going back to it .. the 3 Ali's are absolute gentlemen and always helpful 😁the new rooms are just lovely with great bedding 😁the sofa bed is a bonus 😁may be the TV can be repositioned and more lightings will definitely help 😁area us great with loads of options for laundry / dining / grocery and safe 😁

I was supposed to get the biggest suit in this hotel with balcony and kitchen but instead they called me two days before my flight and said that this room was not available and gave me two rooms in another hotel and asked me for extra charge $200.. we were so disappointed with the service.

This hotel reached out to me 2 days before my flight saying my room is unavailable to check in because they do some renovation. And gave me 2 rooms in different hotel because I had 5 people total. I had to pay extra money for the second room because they did not have suites for 5 people in new hotel. We did not had balcony, kitchen as I was planning on. I was really disappointed with the service.

I am mixed on this hotel. The location is great, and it is easy to take taxis or the bus as there is a bus stop right next to it, pharmacy and market right next door. However the hotel itself is old and it shows. Bathroom was a little worn out, paint peeling, shower not that great as it leaks out into the bathroom floor. Floor was a little dusty in the room, pillows were hard, and overall the hotel just feels old and strange. Room is nice, but hallway is creepy. The staff were great, very nice and helpful, housekeeping was very nice, my wife was sick and the housekeeper who bakes the bread every morning for breakfast buffet brought food to our room. Only complaint I have about service is that there is only 2-3 people working at a time maximum, and after housekeeping finishes their work, only one person watching the whole facility. This meant if you needed any extra housekeeping amenities you had to ask for it early in the day, and at night you cant for example replace towels or things like that.

The room condition at Hotel Bosfora was much lower than expected. The pictures does not justify the hotel condition at all. I requested a refund but was not granted. They sent me to a sister hotel called, Hotel Bosfora Plus, which was supposed to be at no additional charge, but there was an unauthorized , and unexplained charge on my credit card for $35.76 from the hotel, which they never explained neither refunded!
