First impressions can be misleading. We did arrive a little early, so we had to wait a few minutes for the receptionist. The stairs looked very narrow and steap, but fortunately, they had a small lift. Our room was small, but it was a budget room. It also had a bit of a view across the river to thd Galata Tower, which was nice. This hotel is in a great location very close to the new mosque and the Egyptian bazaar. Breakfast is upstairs on the restaurant terrace, which has views to die for. The breakfast spread has something for everyone, and the waiter was a really friendly and helpful guy. We also ate there one evening and no complaints either. Just be aware that a 10% service charge is included in the bill. When we checked out, they called us a taxi for IST airport at a fixed rate, which was very reasonable. The staff in the hotel were all friendly, giving me the distct impression of a family run business. If we return to Istanbul, I would definitely return so I can, without hesitation, recommend a stay here.
