Caseria de San José

A poet once said: Hospitality consists of a little warmth, a little food and great peace. What we experienced at Caseria de San Jose far exceeded that definition. From our first exploration of the hotel, it was clear that we were guests in a special house. The atmosphere breathed tranquility and stylish homeliness. Every room, every seating arrangement, was a welcome, was an invitation. And the hosts? There is the normal, cultivated hospitality. But there is also an exuding from the heart of a deep hospitality that is passion. This is difficult to describe, but as a guest you feel it immediately and its calming effect sets in right away. At the same time, this calmness gives rise to a joyful expectation with regard to the announced culinary delights. Just like the calm and stylish atmosphere, as well as the affectionate hospitality, the warmly and at the same time pleasurably served dishes exceeded our expectations by far. The nights then, in their dark silence, allowed a sleep such as we had not known for years. Thus, the silent nights and quiet and enjoyable days were truly a "retreat" from the world for us. We had no idea that we would catch a glimpse of heaven in the process. Thank you so, so much dear Carolina, Jean, and Sofia. We will see us again.

We had the most wonderful stay here; the house is simply stunning as is the location. Jean and Carolina were the best hosts we could ask for, really kind, very helpful and made us feel very much at home (the food is incredible too). If you are looking for relaxation in an amazing setting with the nicest hosts, then I cannot recommend Caseria de San Jose enough.

No me creo nada de las opiniones negativas que se han vertido, es todo un complot seguramente debido al mono por no poder fumar y al mal genio y mala educación de esos huéspedes. El sitio es una maravilla, el desayuno perfecto, ideal para desconectar o si quieres dar pequeños paseos al pueblo, a Rute o a Priego. La vista del pantano es increíble. Totalmente recomendable

¡Una estancia fabulosa! Una semana de puro placer gracias al paisaje tan impresionante y la calida bienvenida de Juan y Carolina. ¡Son adorables! Lo recomiendo encarecidamente Volvere por supuesto, eso es la pura vida! Muchisimas gracias

Het ligt wel een stukje rijden de bergen in maar daar krijg je wel heel veel ruimte en rust voor terug. NIET geschikt voor feestvierende jongeren. Enthousiaste eigenaars. Kunt er ook mee eten als je het 24 uur van te voren aangeeft. Behalve op woensdag en zondag. Maar het eten is vers en lokaal en top. Ruime kamers. Mooie locatie.

Ayer día 22 de agosto fuimos mi marido y yo, teníamos reserva para 4 días. No sabíamos que no se podía fumar, a la llegada se fumó un cigarrillo. En el período de 2h en plena siesta y con 39 grados, este Sr. Aporreó la puerta 3 veces gritando ¡ Que no se podía fumar!!! Le dije la primera vez que lo sentía y que no volvería a ocurrir. La habitación está en el primer piso y no hay ascensor, no hay mini nevera para poder tener al menos el agua fría. Con tanta grosería, decidimos abandonar el establecimiento a las 3h de estar allí Mientras cargábamos el coche, mi perro, de 6 k y autorizado por ellos por escrito, se metió en un pequeño estanque que tienen fuera. El dueño lo cogió por el cuello y lo tiró por las escaleras de entrada Al decirle yo qué que hacía, cínicamente me tiraba besos y gestos obscenos. Mi marido se dio cuenta que el teléfono de lo había dejado arriba, quiso subir y Jean se lo impidió, recuerdo que nuestra reserva estaba abonada desde junio hasta el día 26. La guinda además es que las toallas estaban usadas y sucias. Para llegar a la casería hay que recorrer bastantes km sin asfaltar y en malas condiciones. Todo un despropósito. A la llegada de los clientes, los espera una pareja de mastines enormes sueltos. En fin, ya denunciados, por supuesto. Ahora Jean contestará con mil escusas, pero nuestro único error fue encender un y único cigarrillo.
