The staff members were very hospitable. Check in was fast and Jeffrey gave us detailed explanation of the facilities of the hotel. He also greeted us every time he met us in the lobby. While the renovation in the room is old fashioned, it is kept clean. We were very lucky that we had good view of Sakurajima during our two days stay. Breakfast in the lobby cafe and dinner in the Japanese restaurant were good.

天文館空港バス停からは5､6分位歩く、ホテルの前には市電“高見馬場電停”。 周りホテルたくさんがある、こちらは外観見て新しい、いい感じホテルと思う。フロントスタッフ皆が親切、色々案内してくれた、午後仙厳園行くで聞いたら割引券をくれました。 シングル部屋は普通のビジネスホテルよりちょっと広め、ベッドもダブルサイズ、内装も清潔感あり、モダンです。 人工炭酸浴場は大好き、肌はツルツル。13階のレストランは地元人もよく来るみたい、私は3食とも利用しました、美味しかった。 唯一改善したいは部屋にはボールペンがない、時々メモしたいけど、でもたぶん今時代皆がマイペンを持ってるかも。

Very good. The hot spring is good. The facilities are good. Recommend to book this hotel if you want to enjoy quality holiday.

チェックアウトが12時のため、ゆっくり過ごせました。ありがとうございました。 天文館に近く、飲んだり食べたりしても、とても安全で便利でした。次回は、ドンキで買い物をして、キッチンを使いたいです。

這家青旅真的是我在鹿兒島找到的難得的寶藏。或許因為淡季，人不多，但這讓我感到驚喜。一樓有餐廳和酒吧，還經常有當地人搞派對；3樓有公共沐浴，提供單人和混合洗浴，甚至有一個聊天和看電影的play room。地理位置超級贊，步行幾百米就到了天文館和碼頭，離城山展望台也很近。房間雖然是青旅，但真的非常乾淨，我連續住了好幾天，雖然沒有人來打掃，但感覺一點都不減舒適。日本人的友善也給了我在九州留下了極好的印象！

The Sherton Hotel in Kagoshima was an absolute gem of a hotel! This is our first visit to Japan, and we are admittedly nervous about the language barrier and cultural change from the US. From the moment we checked in, the staff has bent over backwards to make sure we are comfortable and have done a fantastic job to make this stay completely comfortable and enjoyable. The location is perfect right at the center of downtown Kagoshima, and the rooms, restaurants, and common spaces have more in common with a Four Seasons than with what is standard Sheraton in the US. We were not able to take advantage of the spa, but the Onsen (Hot Springs Sauna) was so relaxing and rejuvenating — especially after 26 hours of flights to get here! HIGHLY recommended. Thank you to the staff that has helped make our 4 days in Kagoshima a memorable experience! Now off to Hiroshima!

Really nice stylish new hotel. We stayed three nights, and were pleasantly surprised at how spacious and comfortable our Superior Queen room was. Also included a small kitchenette, a washer/dryer and a bathtub, all at a very central location, so an excellent base for exploring Kagoshima. The rooftop restaurant was booked solid for a special holiday menu while we were there, so we didn’t get a chance to try dinner, but we did have a very good Japanese/French breakfast while enjoying the view. Finally, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, really went above and beyond to assist us with a couple of requests, which we really appreciated. Happy to recommend and we plan to return!
