"The hotel isn't too far from Kagoshima-Chuo Station by taxi, and it's right opposite Sakurajima. You can see Sakurajima and the ocean from the room, so the view is fantastic – a really beautiful ocean view room. Plus, the room size is quite large for a Japanese hotel. On the second floor, there's an outdoor swimming pool and a hot spring, and you can also see Sakurajima and the ocean from the pool area, which is great. The Japanese restaurant on the second floor serves delicious Japanese food. Getting a taxi from the hotel to Kagoshima-Chuo Station can be a bit inconvenient, but there's a bus stop near the ferry terminal, where you can catch a bus to the city center and Kagoshima-Chuo Station."

"It was very easy to get to from the train station using the tram. The room was as advertised and the bathroom was little but very functional, it's always fun to see how well they use the space in Japan! It is very close to the terminal passenger ferry as well. We stayed 2 nights !"

"It's very clean, and the bedding and toiletries are brand new. On the first floor, the lobby offers a variety of DHC cleansers, toners, and makeup removers, so if you're not too picky, you don't even need to bring any toiletries. It's right next to the Tenmonkan shopping district, which is very convenient, and the 'Woa Ren' restaurant there is delicious. I'll definitely go back again; I really enjoyed the food in Kagoshima, and if I return, I'll stay at this hotel again."

"The views of the bay and the volcano are absolutely stunning, 'picturesque' doesn't even begin to cover it! My room type was a garden view twin, so I couldn't see the volcano or the sea. It was all about value for money, at around 600-700 RMB per night. The room was spacious enough (by Japanese standards), and the luggage rack could fit two medium-sized suitcases. The bathroom was also quite large. If you want to see the volcano, you can head to the courtyard or walk five minutes to the Shiroyama Observatory. You can soak in the large hot spring bath while looking at the volcano, but we only took a quick look around the baths and didn't really try them out, so I can't comment much. The hotel shuttle bus runs every half hour, which is pretty convenient. The city view bus stop is near the Shiroyama Observatory. Just ask the receptionist at the hotel lobby on the 4th floor how to get to the observatory; we turned left then right and it was a five-minute walk. By the way, the city view bus route is a bit winding and there aren't many buses. It's better to take the JR to Sengan-en. The JR has a stop right at the entrance of Sengan-en, and the platform itself is the best spot to view Sakurajima."

"A hotel where you can cook your own meals, and the kitchenware is sufficient. The room is also very spacious, allowing you to spread out your luggage. The washing machine in this hotel has a drying function, which is a nice touch. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the JR station, and there's an Aeon supermarket across from the station. They have good discounts after 8 PM (but it gets crowded), perfect for cooking dinner and breakfast (so you don't necessarily need to book the hotel breakfast)."

"I like this hotel. I've stayed here for 2 times. They provide a free transfer from and to Railway station and a city centre. Very good onsen with a scenic view on Sakurajima. You can also rent a bike here in the hotel for a reasonable price. Convenience store is right by the hotel."

"The hotel was located a 2 minute walk from the airport bus stop. It was also close to tram stops and a don quijote across the road. The room was a little small but we managed to make space for 2 large suitcases by moving things around. There is also a massage chair in the room which was a random nice touch. I really recommend the breakfast as there was an all fish option which is great if you're muslim and only eat halal. It gave us the opportunity to try something traditional that I would not have been able to before. Freshly made bonito flakes too! The hotel also has a luggage disposal service as my suitcase broke on the way there, it costed 3300 yen. It was a convenient, clean and safe stay :)"
